Find freedom from your thoughts tonight as you rediscover the quiet peaceful rhythm that lives within and all around you.
Whatever you've arrived in this moment with,
Be that worry,
Rumination or something else entirely,
This is your time to untangle from it.
This is your time to let it rest for now,
To come home to what precedes it.
My name is Jason Stevenson and it's a pleasure to guide you on this releasing and reconnecting journey tonight.
As I guide you to a hillside sanctuary beneath a cosmic dome of ancient stars,
You have full permission to surrender whatever you're carrying.
There's nothing too big or too small to soften your grip on.
If the thought of surrendering feels out of reach right now,
That's okay,
That's expected.
Simply allow me to guide you,
Letting the process gently unfold.
So as you settle into a safe and comfortable space where you can fall asleep at any time,
Take a few slow deep cleansing breaths.
Allow your chest and belly to expand gently as you inhale and letting it all go as you exhale.
Deep cleansing breath coming in,
Slow steady breath going out.
Take one more slow deep breath,
Then continue to breathe naturally.
Lean into the effortless,
Unforced rhythm of your natural breath.
Now before we dive deeper,
Let's take a moment to honor our busy mind,
Because yes,
While the busy mind can lead to stress,
Anxiety and fatigue,
It plays an important role when kept in check.
Our thinking,
Planning,
Solving mind helps us to navigate life.
It helps us to make choices,
Overcome obstacles and get things done.
So we can take a brief pause here to say thank you mind,
Thank you for the ways you support me.
And at the same time that I thank you,
It's time for you to rest now.
I am committed to helping you rest now.
Now draw your attention to the soles of your feet,
Giving your feet permission to let go.
You might like to thank your feet as well,
For all the places they carry you.
But remind them there's nowhere to journey now.
Nowhere but within.
And as your feet melt into the mattress beneath them,
Sense into your ankles,
Giving them to permission to melt.
Sensing into your calves,
Feeling the way they mold to your mattress,
Guiding them to sink deeper with your next out breath.
Become aware of your knees,
Noticing whatever sensations may be there,
And then allow them to soften.
Your awareness now rises gently into your thighs,
Sensing your quads and your hamstrings.
Bear witness to these muscles for a slow,
Steady inhale.
Then let them release a little more as you exhale.
Feel that both of your legs are relaxed and heavy.
And with your next inhale,
Send a deep breath all the way down to your toes,
Deepening their surrender as you exhale.
Now sensing into your pelvis area and your belly,
Allow these areas to expand and soften naturally with each breath cycle.
And as we journey through the body in this slow and mindful way,
Know that you have full agency to redirect your attention if you need to.
If you encounter a sensation or emotion that feels too difficult to bear witness to,
That's okay.
Let your attention gravitate to a place that feels grounding for you.
The point is not to persevere through pain or discomfort.
The point is to soften.
The point is to be able to let go.
So take another gentle,
Mindful breath through your belly.
Then let your awareness rise slowly up your spine,
Vertebra by vertebra.
Let it expand through your ribcage,
Offering a gentle,
Loving breath to all of these bones.
Then come to rest quietly in your heart.
Notice the way your breath moves through this place,
Nourishing your heart as you inhale,
Guiding it to soften as you exhale.
If your mind wanders as we move through the body,
Or if it protests,
Suggesting there's better things you could be doing with your time,
Know that these mental movements are natural.
Our minds are not accustomed to slowness,
Nor to full,
Undivided attention.
And yet,
Your deeper commitment to quietening the mental chatter remains.
Reconnect with your intention for being here.
Let your attention stretch outwards in both directions,
Across your collarbones.
Feel a gentle lengthening or softening energy moving through here.
And sense into both of your shoulders,
Guiding them to release any weight they've been holding.
And allow a gentle wave of relaxation to ripple down your shoulders,
Through your arms,
Softening and soothing your upper arms,
Restoring and relaxing your elbows,
Resting,
Releasing your forearms,
Tending to your wrists.
A wave of relaxation now pulls in the palms of your hands,
Guiding them to soften,
Guiding them to release their grip on the world.
Sense both of your arms as they rest heavy,
Melting into your mattress.
And take a slow,
Deep inhale,
All the way down to your fingertips.
Releasing with a soft sigh as you exhale,
Rising slowly back up to your shoulders,
Softening a little more with your next out breath.
Then travel up through your neck and up into your jaw,
Inviting your jaw to soften and surrender.
Allow ease and release to expand through your whole face and head,
Relaxing your tongue and cheeks,
Your eyebrows and forehead.
Sensing a growing spaciousness,
Gently filling not just your head,
But your thinking mind too.
Once again,
Bear witness to any thoughts moving through you,
Acknowledging that they're only trying to support you.
But let them know that unless you're in imminent danger,
What will best serve you now is rest.
Feel your whole body resting deeply,
Growing heavier and heavier with each exhale,
While also somehow growing lighter.
Now imagine that at the crown of your head,
A night sky is beginning to open.
Your mind widens as this cosmic dome surrounds you,
A vast canopy of stars,
Each one pulsing like a gentle,
Rhythmic heartbeat.
The sky itself is a deep midnight blue.
The air is warm,
Still and fragrant.
The essence of wild thyme,
Lavender and elderflower enchant your nose.
Take a few slow breaths to let it infuse you.
You trace the sky down to the horizon,
And you find where you've arrived.
A quiet,
Safe and expansive hillside extends in all directions.
The grassy knoll is firm beneath your feet,
And the earth sparkles in emerald green,
Kissed by starlight and the glow of a half moon rising.
For a few breaths,
Allow yourself to anchor here.
Guide your mind to melt into the peace and beauty of this quiet landscape,
Knowing there's nothing you need to do,
No one you need to be.
This moment is enough,
Just as it is.
You look down at your body,
Finding warm,
Comfortable clothes wrapped around you,
Light,
Comfortable shoes,
Maybe even slippers cover your feet.
And with your next slow breath,
You begin a mindful stroll across the rolling land,
Grounding with each step.
Notice the earth's subtle pulse,
It too like a gentle,
Steady heartbeat.
It helps to feel safe and supported here,
And deeply,
Deeply connected.
All the while,
As you walk,
You marvel at the starry expanse surrounding you.
In fact,
You can't remember the last time you'd seen so many stars.
Far removed from urban environments,
The air is crisp and clean here,
And free from all artificial light.
And the sky is cloudless,
A perfect place and moment in time to starbathe.
You walk slowly as you allow the starlight to cloak you,
And to illuminate a path through the hillside.
Breathe slowly and steadily as you go,
Releasing any distracted thoughts as you exhale.
Now you come to a place where a nest of cushions and pillows are laid out for you,
A place where you can rest deeply and completely.
Make your way towards this cozy haven nestled into the hillside,
And envision yourself coming to rest.
Laying down,
You feel the grass,
Or perhaps a blanket beneath your body,
And a pillow beneath your head,
And you pull another blanket up over the top of you,
Adding extra comfort on this warm,
Quiet night.
Take a couple of slow and steady breaths as you settle in beneath the stars.
Feel the quiet,
Shimmering presence of these celestial bodies washing over you.
And as you gaze out at the cosmos,
You reflect on the ancient energy of these luminous stars.
The oldest are nearly as old as the universe itself,
Over 13 billion years old.
And as you connect to the sky in this way,
A sense of calm and trust ripples through you.
Worries and frustrations are put into perspective,
And you realize there's something much greater here,
Something peaceful and powerful.
You're coming into contact with the wise and resilient universe that's ever-present,
And you can see that it precedes everything.
Stress,
Fear,
Tension cannot touch it.
It's impenetrable.
And so,
As your eyes dance through constellations,
Allow yourself to surrender any worries,
Fears,
Or limiting stories to the atmosphere.
Imagine breathing them out of your body as tiny orbs of light.
And watch as they drift upward to join the stars,
Where they naturally and gently dissolve into the peace and wisdom of the cosmos.
Every worry,
Every rumination,
And everything you've been preoccupied with,
Everything that's been restricting your peace,
Are released.
Like starlit bubbles,
They float away from you.
They return to source,
To the light,
Love,
And spaciousness of the universe.
And continue to release your thoughts for as long as you need to.
Then focus your attention back on your starlit body,
Resting on the grassy knoll.
Feel the way the soft,
White light of the cosmos washes over your skin.
Notice the way it quiets your mind,
Naturally and gently,
Guiding you home to the peaceful rhythm beneath life's noise.
And as you feel the presence of this starlight meeting you,
You are reminded how connected you actually are to these majestic beings in the sky.
In fact,
The elements in your body were forged in ancient stars.
You are literally made of stardust.
Awareness of this fact leads you into deeper layers of stillness,
As you reconnect with the deep,
Unshakable trust in the universe.
Wonder and enchantment replace any last fragments of worry,
As you recognize your deep connection with what's around you,
Both near and far.
Your eyes trace the sky again,
Moving through one constellation after the next.
Lyra,
A small but exquisite harp,
Shimmers brightly,
As does Ursa Major,
The Great Bear,
And Libra,
The scales of the Zodiac.
You are reminded by the constellations that stars have guided humans for countless centuries.
They have mirrored our stories,
Influenced our mythology,
And given us meaning.
The very same stars above you now are the same stars that shone above your ancestors.
You sink into the deep peace of that,
Breathing slowly,
Breathing steadily.
Now,
Imagine that your breath is weaving you into the stars above.
As you inhale,
Receive their love,
Their light,
And luminosity deep into your bones and belly.
And as you exhale,
Let your breath rise up to the cosmos,
Merging with those celestial wonders.
Inhale to receive the light of the stars into your own body.
Exhale to send the light back.
A trail of light is forming between you and the stars,
A cosmic pathway towards oneness with the universe.
So as you continue to breathe,
Imagine your consciousness beginning to travel that pathway,
Rising up from your body and into the night sky,
Surrounded by the warm restorative air.
The emerald hillside dissipates from view,
As the full canvas of your mind's eye is a midnight blue,
Starlit sanctuary.
The hillside was quiet,
But somehow,
A deeper silence pervades.
Your mind is still and spacious,
Reflecting the peace and quiet rhythm of the darkened sky all around.
Spend a few quiet moments just floating,
Surrendering any thoughts as you breathe out,
And breathing in the peace and quietude of the universe.
Allow those serene vibrations to reach ever greater depths of your being.
All you can hear is a subtle cosmic lullaby flowing through you,
And maybe the sound of your own breath.
It's pattern is peaceful,
Mirroring the rhythm of your heartbeat,
Mirroring the rhythm of the stars.
Worldly matters don't have weight here.
There's nothing to be planned for,
Gruminated on,
Or achieved.
Stories about who you think you're supposed to be have melted away.
The universe does not hold any expectations of you.
It does not expect you to be impressive,
Accomplished,
Or perfect.
Just as it nurtures the Earth without expectation,
It nurtures you too,
Unconditionally.
Your consciousness floats through the constellations as if you too were a star.
You belong here,
As bright and radiant,
And as whole as everything else in the universe.
Allow yourself to take up that space.
Deep serenity flows through your consciousness as you remember your connection to all that is.
The stardust of your body has remembered that it's home,
That it's always,
Always at home.
And as you drift,
Remember that you have the power to release any distracting thoughts that interrupt this quiet rhythm within and all around you.
With each and every breath,
You can reset yourself.
You can surrender the mind and reconnect with the peace,
Ease,
And wonder of this present moment.
Spend a few more quiet moments just drifting here.
Sense into the deep,
Midnight blue of infinity.
Into the subtle,
Yet steady heartbeat of the stars.
And into the enchanted glow of the silver half-moon.
Allow the gentle flow of the cosmos to fill your mind,
Your body,
Your heart,
And your spirit,
Guiding you home to inner peace.
With support and control,
You begin to float back down to the serene heat of the moon.
And as you do,
Your consciousness travels along the trail of light you had woven into the universe with your breath.
Slowly and gently,
Passing through the serene,
Open air,
Your mind settles back into the nest.
And your body has been resting there all along,
While your consciousness connected with that higher power,
That divine wisdom.
So envision yourself warm and supported by pillows and blankets,
Gazing across rolling,
Emerald hills.
You are snug beneath the celestial dome you just traversed.
Take a long,
Slow breath in,
Allowing your chest and belly to expand,
Releasing with a soft sigh as you exhale.
Your body is relaxed,
Your mind is serene.
And as you gaze up at the stars,
One last time for tonight,
You silently whisper,
May I embody your peaceful rhythm in days to come.
May I embody your peaceful rhythm in days to come.
You are growing increasingly tired,
So you allow your eyes to close,
And as you do,
The only thing you can still see through your visual awareness is the silver light of stars and the moon seeping through your eyelids.
Allow this light to spill through your crown,
Filling your forehead and third eye completely.
Any wandering thoughts dissolve in the presence of this light,
Your mind sinking back into quietude.
The subtle starlight fills your face and head entirely,
And you exhale a sigh of relief.
Then slowly and gently,
Like cosmic honey,
It flows down your neck and across your shoulders,
And it reminds your shoulders that there is nothing they need to hold on to,
There is no weight they need to bear tonight.
It's safe for your shoulders to soften now,
It is safe for you to surrender completely.
Witness this silver presence slowly inching down your arms,
Offering a final invitation for them to surrender.
Let your arms let go into the restorative cocoon of sleep.
And as your awareness arrives in your hands,
Feel them melting,
Your fingers soften,
Your hands unclench,
As all yearning,
Striving and clinging is released.
Now sense into your heart,
Feeling the way it expands and relaxes with each breath.
And as your breath flows through here,
You might imagine that the air is infused with stardust,
Stardust that brings a final blessing of release,
Healing.
And transformation to any subtle worry or tension still held in your heart.
Let it go.
Let it go.
Let it go.
Let it go.
You are loved.
You are held.
You are safe and supported here.
Calm,
Loving awareness wraps around your spinal cord,
Nudging it further into rest and renewal.
And then your attention lands in your belly,
Which rises and falls gently in tandem with your breath.
Envision the soft luminosity of the cosmos,
Filling your belly and pelvic bowl completely,
Guiding these areas to sink deep into sleep.
Then slowly and gently,
Inch by inch,
The light begins to flow down your legs.
Every cell and every muscle relaxes,
Ready and willing to transition now.
Take a few breaths into the soles of your feet when you arrive there.
And as you do,
Silently repeat,
There is nowhere I need to go.
Nothing I need to solve or figure out.
I am ready to surrender now to the quiet rhythm of the universe.
This vast,
Enchanted universe will continue holding you as you sleep.
It holds,
Supports and quietly guides you through each and every moment.
And now it's guiding you to sleep.
And as you drift off gently,
Allow the following words of affirmation to flow through you.
Melt into their wisdom,
Into their smooth,
Steady flow.
As they reaffirm the peace,
Release and serenity you tapped into tonight.
And until next time,
Goodnight my friend,
Goodnight.
I am guided by the quiet rhythm of the universe.
I am nourished by the peaceful rhythm of my breath.
I exhale the things that do not serve me.
I inhale the love and light that's all around me.
I am calm,
Grounded and centered.
My body is relaxed,
Balanced and rested.
I am connected to the wisdom of the cosmos.
I am made of shimmering stardust.
There is nothing I need to fix or solve.
This moment is enough,
Just as it is.
I am already whole,
Just as I am.
I trust the universe will guide me.
I am capable of overcoming all obstacles.
The peace I seek lives within me.
I hold the power to quiet my mind.
I can reset with each and every breath.
I am grounded in the peace of the present.
I am strengthened by the ancient stars above me.
I belong to this vast,
Enchanted universe.
I surrender my mind and find my peace.
