Tonight,
Experience what it's like to be awake inside a dream,
Gaining full control over the dreamscape you float through.
Whether you're new to lucid dreaming or have tried this before,
You hold the power to be fully aware while sleeping.
So give yourself permission to ease into this,
Letting every breath guide you deeper.
You can release the day behind you now and gently open the door to your inner world.
My name is Jason Stevenson and it's an honor to have you here.
There are no prerequisites for this practice.
It will meet you where you are.
In a short while you'll begin a journey through an infinite starlit realm where a calm inspired adventure will unfold,
Completely personal to who you are.
So once again,
Let yourself melt into this.
Release any doubt with your next breath out and simply let my voice guide you.
We'll begin this journey by taking some time to relax the physical body because only when the physical body is relaxed can the mind truly relax as well.
And only when the mind is relaxed is it perceptive to the liminal space between dreaming and wakefulness.
So draw your attention to the soles of your feet and take a few slow grounding breaths.
With each inhale,
Imagine your breath traveling all the way down to your toes.
And with each exhale,
Your mind softens as your feet melt into the space below.
Give your feet all permission to release the day behind you,
Melting into the safety and support of this present moment.
Then sense into your ankles,
Inviting these joints to soften as well.
Let your awareness drift through your calves,
Feeling the way these muscles let go.
Feel your lower legs becoming heavier,
Anchoring down into the earth.
Take a slow gentle breath into your knees,
Inviting them to relax gently.
Then sense into your quads and your hamstrings,
Surrendering these muscles to the slow deep breath.
Feel how heavy your legs are as they surrender all effort,
As they surrender all striving.
Now take a few breaths into your pelvis and hips,
Tension dissipating on the out-breath.
Your tailbone anchors into the bed below,
And deep into the earth beneath that.
As you breathe,
Gently and effortlessly,
Your stomach rises and falls naturally.
You're not forcing the deep.
You're just letting it flow,
Casting ripples of relaxation all the way down to your abdomen.
Inch by inch,
Your awareness rises slowly up your spine,
Reaching your nervous system with permission to surrender fully.
And soon you reach the center of your chest,
Taking pause to breathe into and out of your beating heart.
Really take the time to honor your heart,
To honor whatever visions,
Dreams or desires it holds.
Tonight there is space to let those come to life in a dream that is entirely your own.
But now your attention moves beyond your heart,
Rippling across your collarbones.
It lands gently in the of your shoulders,
Guiding them to melt,
To let go completely.
Your shoulders surrender and a ripple of release flows slowly down to your fingertips.
Your upper arms relax.
Your elbows soften.
Your forearms and wrists melt into the mattress supporting them.
And your hands unravel.
Your fingers release any grip they've been holding on the past or future.
Surrender.
Surrender.
Surrender.
Your arms and hands surrender deeply and completely.
Your awareness rises slowly back up your shoulders,
Crossing your collarbones and resting for a breath in your neck.
Any tension in these muscles dissipate as your jaw naturally and gently loosens its grip.
Then allow this relaxed,
Peaceful presence to spread throughout your whole face.
Your tongue relaxes.
Your cheeks grow soft.
And any tightness in or around your forehead is released.
Your mind and muscles melt into the pillow beneath your head.
Sense into your whole body as it rests here,
Feeling how heavy and relaxed it is.
And at the same time,
Sense into the growing lightness that fills your mind.
It is so light,
In fact,
That it feels as if it's floating just above you,
In a place that's neither here nor there.
You are entering into liminal space now,
A state between wakefulness and sleep where you have full control over the journey you'll take.
Yet it's not about force or effort.
It's a practice of surrender,
Of allowing your mind to flow.
And at the same time,
The reins are in your hands,
So you can make the unfolding dreamscape fully your own.
So deepen your attunement to your mind's eye,
Which slowly fills with stars.
It's a space that stretches to infinity,
Where the boundaries between what's real and what's imagined are loose,
And where you are calm,
Weightless,
And supported by the universe.
Take a few deep breaths as you feel this liminal realm expand within you,
A starlit sanctuary somewhere between this world and the next.
You feel safe,
Supported,
And serene.
And your consciousness drifts higher and higher,
Away from your body and into the heart of an untouched galaxy.
Bright nebulae glow in the distance,
Cosmic clouds of neon pink and orange,
And planets,
Moons,
And countless stars shine radiantly too,
A reminder of how enchanted and mysterious this universe,
And your consciousness,
Really is.
Now imagine a golden pathway appearing in thin air,
A pathway that will guide you on a personal journey of lucid imagery.
Imagine yourself touching down on that pathway,
And really noticing what it feels like beneath the soles of your feet.
You might imagine that your feet are bare,
Deepening your ability to sense or imagine what that pathway feels like.
Notice,
Is it warm or cool?
Is it hard or soft?
Solid or sandy?
Feel yourself floating along this pathway,
Deeper into liminal space,
Into a lucid waking dream.
And as you move through space,
Note that every thought you have will subtly shift what unfolds before you,
And recognize that you have the power to direct your thoughts.
Take a moment to play with this idea,
Calling forth the thought,
The pathway is glowing brighter now,
The pathway is glowing brighter.
And watch as the luminosity of the golden path beneath your feet grows brighter.
Now,
Think the thought,
Shooting stars surround me,
Shooting stars surround me.
And watch as they suddenly appear,
Glistening diamonds darting against a velvet midnight sky.
You have the power to manifest a dream of your heart's deepest desires,
Simply by thinking about them.
So as you follow this golden pathway through the universe,
Various doors to other realms or planets will begin to appear.
Each one,
Which glitters in gold,
Is a portal to whatever you long to experience in a dream.
But remember,
It's not about forcing yourself to see or experience something.
Again,
It's a process of surrender.
You will surrender your mind to the wisdom and yearnings of your heart,
And imagery of your highest intentions will naturally unfold.
So soften the surface layers of your mind with each out-breath,
As you tune in to your heart.
What would it be like to experience in a dream?
What magic and abundance does it want to move through?
As you move through glittering golden doorways,
You will emerge in places that make your heart and highest mind come alive.
Travel at your own pace,
Letting your inner wisdom guide the imagery.
Explore this gentle dreamscape in any way you like.
It is a place full of wonder,
Where the movements are slow and the possibilities endless.
Yet everything here is positive and peaceful.
Allow every dream to be sweet,
To nurture something inspired within you.
You can move into and out of realms as frequently as you like,
And there's nothing this experience is supposed to be.
You might simply see yourself floating through the cosmos,
Untethered to anything tangible or earthly.
Or you might step through golden portals into fully realized aspirations,
Into visions of your dreams coming true.
You might find yourself resting on your favorite beach at dusk,
Meditating in a quiet Himalayan temple.
Or maybe you find yourself capable of some magical gift,
Like the ability to breathe underwater or to fly like an eagle.
Let your dreams be as simple or enchanted as you like,
Remembering that you're in full control.
You can find your footing on the golden pathway at any time,
Or you can even come back to your resting body.
Do whatever you need to do to support yourself moving into and out of the dreamscape as needed.
Come back to curiosity as often as possible,
Cultivating a sense of childlike wonder as you journey here.
Find that balancing point between actively creating and passively receiving.
And as you travel,
Take pause from time to time and ask yourself,
Am I awake?
Or am I dreaming?
Or am I dreaming?
You might find that sometimes the answer isn't clear,
That you're suspended in a space between slumber and wakefulness.
And that's okay.
The answer isn't as important as the question.
The more you ask the question consciously,
The more likely you'll be to ask it when you're deep in a sleeping dream.
Notice where you find yourself now,
Paying attention to the sounds of the space.
To the colors and life forms.
Are you alone or in good company?
Are you in a place you know well or in a place you've only imagined?
Wherever you are,
Take a moment to look at your hands.
Trace every line that runs along your palm and look at each of your fingernails.
The closer you get to the minute details of this dreamscape,
The more it stabilizes,
The more awake you become within it.
Check in with your heart and ask yourself,
Is there something else I want to experience in this moving dreamlike meditation?
What would the fullest,
Most vibrant part of myself want to do,
Experience or be?
Find the golden pathway through the stars and take it to another doorway of shimmering light.
Step through that portal and let yourself experience whatever is calling you,
Whatever nourishes,
Soothes and inspires you.
It's also okay if you just want to keep floating where you are.
You can tune out from my guidance at any time and just do what you feel intuitively called to do.
These are invitations,
Not instructions.
Wherever you are right now,
Stay close to the sensory detail of the experience.
Tap into the sense of sight,
Noticing all the small details,
Shapes and textures.
Tune in to your sense of sound and smell.
Notice what this place feels like in your body,
In your heart,
In your bones,
Beneath the soles of your feet.
And maybe even notice what it tastes like.
Imagine biting into an apple or a rich piece of dark chocolate and ask yourself,
Am I awake or am I dreaming?
And time slips away from you here.
Stories about what's possible melt away too.
Your inner world is alive and endless.
There's no shortage of places to go,
No end to experiences you could have.
And yet you also don't have to chase anything here.
More experiences is not necessarily better than the one really good one.
So let yourself move through as many or as few places and states of being that you wish to.
And all the while being fully aware of what's happening,
Fully aware of how it feels in the depth of your being to be here.
Your consciousness moves at the very edge of creation,
As if you were surfing the crest of a wave.
The moment is constantly unfolding and you are wide awake for it,
Wide awake in the middle of a dream.
And to reaffirm this potential for yourself,
Quietly repeat,
When I dream,
I know I am dreaming.
When I dream,
I know I am dreaming.
And continue to float freely,
Each thought paving the way for the next moment,
Surfing the crest of the wave.
Now in preparation for the deeper dream that will come through sleep,
You can take a moment to identify a dream sign.
One that you can look out for when in slumber.
A dream sign could be anything,
Like a luminous moon,
A floating feather,
Or a bright blue butterfly.
It's something that you can visualize now,
And that you can look for in all of the dreams to come.
It acts as a cue for you to check in and ask,
Am I awake or am I dreaming?
Now,
Follow your thoughts lightly,
Without overthinking this notion of a dream sign.
Simply identify what's coming up for you,
And see it manifest in the space before you.
Now,
Silently repeat,
When I see this dream sign,
I will ask if I am dreaming.
When I see this dream sign,
I will ask if I am dreaming.
Now,
Continue to let your experience unfold as it wishes to,
Maybe marveling for a while longer at your dream sign,
Or letting something else unfold.
And as you inch towards sleep,
Soften the degree to which you're actively creating imagery.
Instead,
Let yourself bloat,
With full awareness of the experience.
You can drift off to sleep at any time,
But until that comes,
Continue to let yourself travel through worlds.
There is no beginning,
No end,
And no limit.
You can experience anything that brings you joy and positivity,
However simple or grand it may be.
And recognize that where you are,
Wherever you've been well and wherever you're going,
Your journey is entirely unique.
No one will have the exact same dreams that you do.
We all have our own golden paths to take.
Let your senses come more alive than they've been during the whole journey.
Feel deeply,
See clearly,
Hear fully,
Smell all-heartedly,
And taste with full presence.
Taste the fullness of this experience.
Feel your mind drifting,
Your consciousness fully absorbed in this ever-unfolding dreamscape.
Linger in the imagery and sensations that make you feel fully alive and deeply present.
You have full permission to be here.
You have full permission to soak it up.
Now come back to the question,
Am I or am I dreaming?
Am I awake or am I dreaming?
Notice how lucid you are here,
And yet how this isn't your everyday waking state.
You are drifting through a realm of infinite possibilities,
Through a dream-like existence that lives in liminal space.
With each passing breath,
You are growing increasingly tired.
Your mind is nearly ready to surrender to the night,
Where lucidity can follow you.
So take a few final moments to envision any current journey coming to completion,
And find your way back to the golden trail that weaves through the starlit universe.
When you arrive back on that celestial pathway,
Let your gaze trace constellations,
And maybe one last time,
You can catch sight of your dream sign,
The image that will prompt lucidity in your dreams to come.
A golden pathway weaves its way back down to earth,
Through this open,
Luminous,
Lucid space.
You are back in your physical body,
Feeling the pillow beneath your head,
And the bed beneath your whole body.
Feel the way your body is breathing,
Nourished by each gentle in-breath.
Relaxing with each gentle out-breath,
You are fully aware,
Fully alive,
And fully prepped for lucidity in sleep.
All that's required is a final surrender into trust,
Into openness,
And into the quiet intelligence of your dreaming mind.
So draw your attention to the crown of your head,
One last time for tonight.
Invite a cosmic current of ease,
Relaxation,
And subtle luminosity to fill this place.
To fill your forehead,
To move around your temples.
Allow this current to whisper.
When you dream,
You will know you are dreaming.
When you dream,
You will know you are dreaming.
Gently scan your whole face,
And your whole head,
Inviting any lingering tension to melt away.
Allow it to soften and surrender into the pillow beneath it.
Now,
Sense into the sides of your neck,
Blowing gently down into your shoulders,
And invite your shoulders to relax.
As the current quietly whispers,
There's nothing to carry into sleep but lucidity.
There's nothing to carry into sleep but lucidity.
All the way down to your fingertips,
You surrender completely.
There's nothing to hold onto,
Nothing to grasp at.
All the way down to your fingertips,
You surrender completely.
Your arms grow heavy,
And your hands widen to the universe.
They open naturally to receive the dreams that await.
Take a few slow,
Cleansing breaths into your heart.
As this current of ease and relaxation pools in your chest,
Melt into the natural rhythm of each cycle,
Knowing you don't have to force or control the breath.
It is constantly supporting you,
With ease and grace.
Now,
Feel how light,
Open and receptive your heart is.
Then hear it quietly whisper,
I am awake within your dreams.
I am awake within your dreams.
Now,
Let your awareness sink down into your belly,
Which expands and relaxes alongside each breath.
Tension and contraction dissipate,
As your core muscles surrender to the sleep that's on the horizon.
And sense the way your hips are softening too,
Tailbone rooting back down into the earth beneath you.
You breathe slowly and steadily,
As you follow this current of ease and relaxation all the way down your legs.
Your muscles surrender,
Your legs grow heavy,
Ready and willing to be restored by deep sleep.
As your legs relax,
All the way down to your toes,
They whisper to remind you,
While your body rests,
Your lucid mind will travel.
While your body rests,
Your lucid mind will travel.
Now,
Focus for a few breaths on your feet,
Really allowing them to grow heavier and heavier.
There's nowhere they need to take you,
The only travels for the coming hours will be through sweet lucid dreams.
You will drift off gently now,
And when you awake,
I invite you to write down your dreams right away.
This will improve your ability to recall your dreams,
And will strengthen the bridge between waking and dreaming.
As you drift now,
A stream of affirmations will flow through your consciousness.
They will help you carry the thread of lucidity into slumber,
So melt gently into them.
You don't need to repeat them or hold on to them,
Simply receive them into your heart,
Mind,
Body and spirit.
May the coming night be deeply restful and equally lucid,
And until next time,
Good night my friend,
Good night.
When I dream,
I know I am dreaming.
I recognize dream signs easily.
My mind is aware as my body sleeps.
I am the creator of each dreamscape.
I manifest what my heart desires in each dream.
I carry lucidity into my sleep.
I am the creator of each dreamscape.
My body rests as my mind travels.
I am clear and conscious as I sleep.
I have a strong and clear imagination.
I envision what I desire while I sleep.
I have full control over my mind.
Awake or asleep,
I am aware.
I feel safe and confident while lucid dreaming.
I direct my dreams with intention.
The thread of lucidity is always within me.
I slip into and out of my dreams with ease.
I recall my dreams with crystal clarity.
I wake up refreshed and inspired.
I awaken within each dream with ease.
Lucid dreaming comes easily to me.
