Our book today is called I Can Do It By Myself,

Illustrated by June Goldsboro.

I'm reading from the book that I had when I was a tiny girl.

It's written in 1981.

When I get up in the morning,

I wash my face and brush my teeth.

I can do it.

I can do it.

By myself I can do it.

I put on my clothes.

I button my shirt.

I zip up my jeans and buckle my shoes.

I eat all of my breakfast.

I butter my toast and drink my juice.

I can do it.

I can do it.

By myself.

I go next door to visit my friend.

I can reach the doorbell.

I swing in the yard.

Swing in the yard.

All by myself.

I help in the garden.

I pull the weeds and pick the juicy red tomato.

I love a juicy red tomato.

I ride my tricycle to the end of the block.

A book at the library.

After supper,

I help clear the table.

I put my cup in the sink.

Right in the sink.

I play with my puppy.

I scratch his warm neck and rub his round tummy.

When I take my bath,

I play with my boats and my little rubber ducky.

I turn the pages of my bedtime book.

I pull down the covers and turn out the light.

Then I close and go to sleep.

Thanks for your beautiful reading. This is good for both daughter and mommy as sometimes mommy can a bit tired. But I believe we can do many things 💕
