This meditation is designed to bring us back to a deeper sense of Self. So wherever we are, whatever we do, we always are connected to the profound inner wisdom and peace that is our Truth. Please feel free to simply sit and be at the conclusion of the guided portion. When we make time and space to simply allow the moment (and ourselves) to just Be, we can come home to Love.

Come to a comfortable seat.

Relax your shoulders.

Lift your heart.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

You are a bird with a strong body and powerful wings and sharp eyes.

You have been flying over many miles,

Hunting,

Gathering,

Observing.

Feel the wind on your face and under your wings.

And now it is time to come home.

See your nest.

Feel your wings gather to you as you settle in and down.

Feel your body become heavy as you rest in your nest.

Feel peaceful and whole.

You are home.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

Now you are a cat and you have been traveling with wild fur and powerful limbs,

Roaming,

Exploring,

Adventuring.

And now it is time to return back home,

Back to the fire.

Feel your body arrive and settle in and down.

Feel your fur smooth.

Your body soften.

Feel the warmth.

As you feel peaceful and whole,

You are home.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

Now,

You are you.

You have been traveling and going from one place to the other,

The doing and the striving.

It is time to come home.

Feel the ground beneath you.

Feel yourself on the earth here and now.

Feel your bones.

The bones of your face.

Your neck.

Your shoulders.

Arms,

Wrists and hands.

Feel the bones of your spine.

Your hips.

The long bones of your legs.

Ankles and feet.

Feel,

Too,

The muscles draped over those bones.

The sensations of heaviness or heat of lightness and being.

Feel the muscles of you now.

As you arrive more into the experience of yourself,

Pause and notice as well the sensations of feeling in the heart.

The emotions of joy or sorrow,

Of longing,

Of strength.

Feel the entirety of this universe of the heart of you.

Feel now.

And remember that while you arrive home to your rest,

Your nest,

Your perch,

Your fire.

This is not only a place to which you can return,

But a place that you have never left.

This is you.

This is home.

The fullness of your body.

The depth of your feeling.

The knowing of your experience.

That no matter what,

No matter where,

You are always home.

You are always home.

Welcome.

Welcome.

Welcome.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

And be.

Stay here as long as you like.

The meditation is over.
