This is for anyone feeling a little bit blah.

I'm taking a deep breath and trying to reconnect to the passion in my life.

But before I can,

I just need to respect and appreciate this feeling of blah.

Because if there were one word for how I'm feeling right now,

It would be blah.

Barely laughing and hanging on.

Sometimes blah rears its ugly head after a long day.

Sometimes it rises with the sun.

Sometimes it goes to lunch with me.

Wherever,

Whenever.

This time,

I won't run.

I'm sitting here,

Taking a deep breath in,

And allowing blah to have its moment.

Because I know,

Just like blah has its moment,

That its friends,

Love,

Excitement,

Silly,

And peaceful,

Will have their moments too.

And each moment requires a different energy,

A different environment,

A different concoction of elements that have led me to the present.

I guess right now it's blah's turn to be up front and center.

So taking another deep breath,

I imagine sitting next to blah.

We are staring off into the distance,

Reminiscing on our time together.

Wondering if we could have done it better,

Or if we did it just right.

As blah and I are talking,

I notice others coming forward.

It turns out that no matter how hard I try for it to just be me and blah,

There is always someone else there.

Silly chimes in and remembers how we laugh to ourselves for being blah,

For feeling blah.

Angry mentions how we were also upset another day with blah.

Peace layers on the time that we enjoyed the moment profoundly being with blah.

And in this knowing and understanding that blah is just one of many emotions,

One of many moments,

Blah in it of itself doesn't solely define us.

It is part of a network that leads to more.

And in that knowing,

We see the bigger picture.

We hear the beat beneath the chorus.

We feel space opening up within.

And taking a deep breath,

We feel a sense of calm.

That no matter where or when we feel,

Hear or see blah coming,

We know there is more to this moment.

That it's meant to be felt and experienced and then stepped off of just like a rung on a ladder propelling us to a new height.

So taking one more deep breath for blah with that inner knowing that blah may be there,

But we are a multidimensional multifaceted being with more complexities than just one blah moment.

And in this knowing,

We find we are free.

Free to let the rhythm of life soothe us.

Free to let the shine of the moment embrace us.

Free to let ourself be calm and at ease.
