Allow yourself to get comfortable and turn your attention now to your breathing.
Notice how the rhythm of your breath is like gentle waves lapping at a shoreline.
Invite a sense of relaxation to wash over you with each breath.
Imagine yourself lying down in the softest white sand at the shore of the ocean with your feet pointed toward the water.
The sand is fine and silky and soft.
It surrounds you and holds you as you relax into it.
The waves are gentle and quiet,
Rolling in and spreading like a thin layer flowing up over the sand,
Then gliding away to melt back into the ocean.
The water is warm,
Clear,
And sparkly.
Sunlight ripples across the water like dozens of sparkly diamonds.
Notice the quality of the air as you breathe it in.
The humidity,
Freshness,
Saltiness.
As you breathe in again,
Feel a gentle wave wash up over your feet.
The wave fades back into the ocean as you exhale.
Inhale and feel the water wash over your feet and up to your knees.
Exhale and feel it flow away,
Pulling sand from beneath you back into the ocean.
Take a breath in and feel the water wash up your legs,
Up over your belly.
Release the breath as the water fades away.
Breathe in as another wave washes up over your body and flows up to your shoulders.
Breathe out as the wave floats back over your body and into the sea.
There is an abundance of water.
There's an abundance of relaxing waves washing over your body as you breathe in and out.
The waves wash over you again and again.
Take a few moments to continue breathing in and out,
Imagining the water flowing up and over,
Then gliding back away with each breath.
Inhaling and exhaling,
Relaxation washing over and receding away.
Breathing in and out,
Feeling more relaxed.
Imagine now that you are safely carried by a wave into the sea.
The wave holds you and cradles you and you feel weightless as you float on your back,
Smiling toward the sky.
The floating is effortless as you bathe in an endless sea.
Blue sky stretches out above you and the sun is warm on your face.
It shines golden light through your closed eyelids.
A small wave rolls toward you and lifts your body so that it floats upwards as the wave crests.
Then you descend gradually down as the wave ebbs and glides away.
Breathe in as another wave carries you upward and breathe out as it flows back down.
Take some time now to breathe in and out as you imagine rising and falling with each wave.
Rising as you inhale,
Descending as you exhale,
Allowing yourself to be carried with your breath to the rhythm of the waves.
And coming back now,
See yourself turning over onto your stomach in the water and swimming back to the shore.
The incoming tide carrying you effortlessly toward the sandy beach once again.
Arriving at the water's edge,
Lay back into the soft sand once more.
Feel the warm sunlight radiating into your skin and evaporating the water,
Leaving behind a salty film.
Notice the taste of the salt on your lips and the wonderful feel of the sunshine on your skin.
Take a few more gentle breaths in and out as you allow the sense of calm and relaxation to sink deeper into your skin like the warm sunlight bathing you in comfort.
As we prepare to wrap up this experience at the beach,
Feel free to move your fingers and toes and bring your awareness back to the present moment.
Taking one more breath now,
Open your eyes and come back into your space.
