Welcome Earth Angels.
Settle into a comfortable position.
And before we explore this deep healing meditation,
We'll begin by allowing the body to settle.
We will take five slow breaths together,
Each breath inviting the nervous system to soften.
Let's begin.
Exhale the breath out of the mouth,
Let it go.
Take a slow inhale through the nose and gently exhale.
This first breath allows the shoulders to soften,
The heart to expand.
Inhale through the nose and gently exhale.
Exhale,
The second breath allows the jaw to unclench and the muscles in the face relax.
Inhale,
Exhale.
Third breath allows the stomach to soften and the body to feel supported.
Inhale,
Exhale.
The fourth breath relaxes the hips and the legs.
The whole body becomes heavier.
Again,
Deep breath.
And this fifth breath invites in safety,
Knowing that you are completely ready to heal,
To let go,
To feel.
Now,
Imagine for a moment a younger version of yourself.
It can be any age,
Or simply just a version of you from the past,
A time in your life where things felt difficult.
Simply see that version of you standing before you.
Notice their posture,
Their expression,
The emotions they may carry.
Often when we reflect on our past,
We judge them.
We think,
I should have known better,
I should have done things differently.
But this version of you was doing the best that they could with the awareness they had at this time.
You were simply learning,
Trying to understand the world,
Trying to protect yourself in only the ways that you knew how.
What emotions is this version of you carrying,
Holding onto?
Perhaps you ask them directly,
How do you feel?
Allow them to simply express to you as you hold space and listen.
Now imagine yourself gently walking towards them as someone who understands,
And standing in front of this version of you.
You say to them,
I see you,
I hear you,
I know how hard that was.
This is not your responsibility.
This is not your fault.
You were simply doing the best you could.
And feel that compassion arrive in your chest as you stand before your younger self.
And you feel,
You understand,
You know.
Ask them if you can embrace them,
Or simply stand beside them with warmth.
Let them know that they are not alone,
They never were,
They never will be.
And as you look them in the eyes,
That childlike youth,
Innocence,
Say,
Thank you for getting me here.
Thank you for surviving.
You don't have to carry this anymore.
I am here,
And you are safe now.
We have grown,
We have learned,
We are strong.
And notice them soften.
Notice the feel of relief.
And just let this lightness float as you meet yourself with this beautiful loving-kindness.
Breathing through your heart space,
Inhale,
Exhale.
Now invite this younger version of yourself into the present moment with you.
Perhaps you go to your favorite spot.
And together you exist here.
You let them see you as the person you have become today.
The strength you have gained.
The awareness you now carry.
The wisdom that is innate within you.
You allow them to feel all of the love that exists in your life today.
Letting them know that we made it.
We are safe now.
We are no longer alone.
And as you embrace your younger version one more time,
You welcome them into your heart.
Not as someone separate,
But as a part of you that is met with love,
Met with compassion.
That you can return to at any point to soothe,
To nurture,
To speak to.
And here you are,
Existing in wholeness,
Existing in love,
Existing in the now,
Bringing all parts of you home.
Inhale.
Exhale.
You are home.
