From the Bay Islands on the left,
Sweeping across the sparkling morning sea to the headland on the right,
The horizon stretches its welcoming arms,
Showing the Earth's precious arc.
For so many years,
The silent morning sun has skipped across this sea to touch these granite shores,
Whether there was a human to marvel or not.
Now,
We are here in this circle,
On this silent sphere.
All in all,
How small we are,
Yet as real and substantial as these granite rocks washed by the constant surf,
And as temporary.
Feel your physical self giving you presence for these moments of life,
Your limbs and torso,
Head and senses.
Flashing by in these instants,
Emotions come around the circle and,
If not held and coveted,
Go.
Honor not the content,
But the movement,
Fluid and flowing,
Feelings birth,
Express,
Die,
Over and over.
Both our unique gift and our common connection,
Spirit is how we join the cosmos,
The largest circle of all.
May you both discover and create ever-expanding circles today.
Your gift today is to be part of the circle.
