The welcoming sun carves the slanted snow-covered rooftop into two halves, One half bright, Sparkling with tiny, Intense crystals of light, The other half deep, Mysterious, With grey shadow still of the night. Both halves are necessary to make a morning roof. Still yourself so that you can notice the movement of the sun's shadow across the earth, Just as silence can move with the force of the planets across your being right now, Bringing quiet to you. If you were sitting in the sun at this moment, Your body would cast a certain unique shadow, Only yours. Offer your physical being the appreciation of uniqueness, Inside and out. No judgments, Only love that you are who you are. And for every feeling there is its opposite, Its dark or light twin. Avoid the mixing or diluting of feelings. They stand out in contrast and gain strength from each other. Each deserves its own time, Its own expression. The wider the range of emotional expression, The more room there is for spirit. Let your spirit shine through both light and shadow. Enjoy being who you are and letting your essence show. May you find both light and dark today. Your gift today is shadow.
