Cosa imparerai
Welcome to Nourish Yourself. May this eight-day course offer you the invitation to take time every day to nourish yourself in a variety of ways. By committing to yourself consistently for eight days, you will strengthen your habit of self-care and realize how important it is. Learning to take time for yourself becomes a non-negotiable habit for the health and wellness of your mind, body, heart, and spirit. When you learn to fill your well on a regular basis, you have more vitality and light to share with the world. You will learn to take responsibility for your energy and raise your frequency, therefore becoming more able to embody resilience and calm in a stressed-out world, influencing those around you to do the same, simply by choosing to care for yourself. In each lesson, we will move through a variety of daily practices that won’t take a lot of your time and are easy to infuse into your schedule. You will learn why these tools and practices are so effective. I have gathered, here in one place, what I have learned and what has helped me feel nourished over the years, and it is my hope that you will feel supported, cared for, and guided through this time with me. My goal is that you end this course feeling like you can continue to take time for yourself on a regular basis for the rest of your one and precious life. This course is for any body and for all levels. Nourish Yourself is a template and you will make it personal with every choice you make. (Consult your healthcare practitioner before starting any new exercise or nutrition program.)

Lezione 1
Vision And Values
In this first lesson of Nourish Yourself, you will learn what this journey is all about and how it is something you can implement into your daily life in easy ways until nourishing yourself becomes a new habit. I will introduce you to my six pillars, plus we will cover some other ways we can take care of ourselves. I will share with you how these go-to pillars have helped me. We will also get clear on our values and how we want to feel by doing a visualization together. We will set ourselves up to successfully take time for ourselves as often as we can. Taking time for health and wellness really does allow you to live more in the present moment, the place where all of life happens. When you take the time to commit to yourself every day, you build the muscles of self-care, resiliency, and discernment, and the practice of nourishing yourself becomes a non-negotiable in your life.
Lezione 2
Movement
In lesson two of Nourish Yourself we begin with the first pillar of movement. Moving our body in some way is obviously so important for our health and for all the systems of the body - healthy blood and lymph circulation, lung capacity, and digestion, but moving also helps with the circulation and digestion of mental, emotional, and energetic flow. Stagnation can happen on many levels of being and sometimes all it takes is moving the body in some way to shake things up. Moving in a new way is also a great way to get out of your head. Moving allows emotion to literally move through you, as it is felt and transmuted. Moving makes you sweat and smile. Whether you have a regular exercise practice or not, or even if your movement is limited, there is something you can do to physically nourish yourself with movement. I will offer you some suggestions to make this a fun and regular practice so it becomes a habit you can look forward to.
Lezione 3
Breath
In lesson three of Nourish Yourself we will look at the next pillar of nourish yourself – the importance of breath and healthy breathing. Of course, this is something your body does automatically without you having to think about it at all but there are ways to work with your breathe to nourish you, regulate your nervous system, and revitalize your energy. I will share a few of my favourite breath exercises with you and why I like them. I will also share a few resources that have helped me breathe freely. There is one book that I found fascinating. And there are many kinds of techniques to play with and I like to change things up and do different breath practices at different times – depending on what I need. There is even an optimal breathing pattern which we will explore. I think if we remember the importance of infusing focused breathwork into our routines, that’s what matters most.
Lezione 4
Rest
In lesson four of Nourish Yourself we will cover a passion of mine, rest. Restoration has become something I’m deeply interested in and have been studying and teaching for years. Thankfully, the benefits of resting well has become a more common topic. If we don’t slow down and take time to rest, we overload and overwork ourselves. There is no time for our nervous system to balance. Our minds can become full, anxious, and fearful. Our hormonal system can be in disharmony. When we’re in a perpetual state of activity and arousal, we can miss out on the beauty, joy, and peace that surrounds us in the space between. I have many tools to share with you that you can choose from whenever you need to decompress. I hope some of these resources will inspire you to infuse rest into your day so you feel nourished, and so can pause in the space between no longer and not yet.
Lezione 5
Intake
In lesson five of Nourish Yourself we will consider our intake - what feels nourishing to take in and be around, and what doesn’t. This doesn’t just apply to what we’re eating, but what we are consuming, processing, and digesting in all ways. If everything is energy, then everything affects us. We will look at what raises our frequency and what diminishes it. Everything we consume, from food to media, will nourish or deplete us. This lesson gives us the opportunity to become even more aware of what our habits are and how they make us feel. And, most importantly, we come to understand that we can’t control a lot in this world, but we can control the choices we make on a regular basis. I hope the tips I share in this lesson serve to make you even more of being conscious about what you are consuming in all areas of your life.
Lezione 6
Creativity
In lesson six of Nourish Yourself we will look at the pillar of creativity. The energy of creation really is a nourishing one. You don’t have to be an artist in the traditional sense to create. Creation is the combination of playfulness, joy, inspiration, presence, and passion– it arises when we allow our human to play without constraint or worrying about the end goal. And when we use our ability to create in a nourishing way, which brings us peace and joy, we end up increasing our energy and we invite more peace and joy into our lives. There are many ways we can get creative. Make sure your creative endeavors feel good to you. You might even get lost in the moment, where time passes by without notice. I’ll share some of the ways to get over your blocks and show you how easy it is to implement some creativity into your life.
Lezione 7
Slow Down
In lesson seven of Nourish Yourself I will encourage you to slow down and be present. When we pay attention and listen more, we automatically begin to nourish ourselves. These are qualities we could weave into the other pillars we have talked about – move, breathe, rest, intake, and create. But I thought it deserved its own pillar. For the pillar of slowing down, we are going to connect to the present moment, to our senses, to receiving, and to the feeling of pleasure. When we slow down and are present, we activate our heightened senses, so we notice more of the peace, joy, pleasure, and gratitude in all we do. We will talk about different ways we can activate these qualities, and we will strengthen our ability to move in a calmly and intention-filled way.
Lezione 8
Ritualize Your Routines
In lesson eight of Nourish Yourself we will close this container by reviewing the six pillars and we will also play with practical ways we can keep nourishing ourselves. You’ve taken a step forward by choosing to prioritize time for you to fill your well and elevate your frequency, let’s keep going. I will share with you how we can ritualize our routines, so self-care doesn’t feel like another thing on our to-do list that we have to do but instead becomes something to look forward to. I will share some ways to weave these pillars into your everyday life, so they feel natural and fun. This is not the end but only the beginning. Self-care is sometimes viewed as selfish but it’s time to reclaim that word. If your well is full and you feel energized, you are much more effective in the world and you have more to give.
