Welcome to this meditation that is all about connecting with your younger self.
Often in life we might get a little bit caught up in responsibilities and things to do and we might lose touch with our playfulness,
Our innocence,
The innocence of our young child,
The awe,
The wonder,
The curiosity.
It's very important to stay connected with your younger self,
With your inner child.
This meditation is all about that.
So what I want you to do is just settling yourself down,
Whether you're sitting up in a seat or laying down somewhere,
Whichever feels more comfortable for you.
And when you're settled and comfortable,
Just closing your eyes and then taking in a deep breath in through the nose and exhaling out through the mouth,
Sighing out.
Another deep breath in through the nose and exhale out.
And one last deep breath in and in and exhale letting go.
Just taking deep breaths in at a natural pace,
In and out through the nose.
And as you do that,
I want you to imagine yourself on a big beautiful beach.
On this beach you can see those gorgeous white sands and it's endless.
The beach just goes on and on.
You can't see the end of it.
You can see the sea on your right hand side,
The waves coming in and then out.
You can hear them as well.
You can hear the sound of the waves coming to the seaside,
The beach,
Leaving some white foam and then going back again.
Maybe you can hear the birds singing,
Maybe some seagulls.
Just noticing,
Noticing what you can see on a beach,
What you can hear.
You might even have a taste in your mouth or a smell,
Smelling the sea.
You start to walk on this beach and you can now feel the warmth of the sand underneath the sole of your feet,
Warming you up.
You can feel the sun on your face and your arms,
Legs and your skin.
As you're walking,
Keep taking in what's around you.
Feeling grounded in yourself,
Knowing that there's nothing you need to do,
Nowhere you need to be,
No one you need to be for anyone.
Just being here,
Enjoying being on this beach as you walk.
As you're walking,
You see a little kid ahead of you,
Running towards you with joy.
They come up to you and as they come closer,
You notice that this little kid is you when you were younger.
Seeing this five year old you,
The little boy you were,
The little girl you were,
They run up to you and you give them a hug,
You hold them.
You just feel their energy,
Just notice what they're like,
Notice how they feel like.
You hold their hand and you start to walk together now on this beach,
Walking with joy,
With happiness.
They start to pull you towards the sea,
They go in,
They jump into the sea,
Into the waves.
Can you join them in the sea?
When you play together,
You play with the water,
With each other,
Just really enjoying each other's company.
And noticing if there's anything you would like to say to your younger self,
To that little boy,
Little girl that's there playing with you.
And seeing if there's anything they would like to tell you.
Taking deep breaths in as you're there,
Enjoying being with your younger self in this moment,
Feeling their presence,
Feeling their energy,
Connecting with them.
And then your younger self starts to come out with the water,
And they run up to the beach,
They go and sit there,
And you start to play with the sand.
And you go out as well,
You follow them.
And you play with them on the beach with the sand.
And you sit there together for a while,
Watching the sea,
Watching the waves,
Cuddling up to them,
Holding each other.
You can hug them,
You can tell them how much you love them,
Always there for them.
They can always come and visit you,
Enjoying playing with them in this moment.
And you can stay here as long as you want.
You can stay here as long as you want.
You can stay here as long as you want.
You can stay here as long as you want.
