Come to a lying down position or a seated position that you feel the most supported in.

Grab yourself some cushions or a blanket if you need additional support.

Once you are in a comfortable position,

Close your eyes and begin to take a few slow,

Steady breaths in order to get yourself nice and grounded.

Begin to take notice of any areas in your body where you may feel tension or muscle tightness or a place where you may just be holding stress.

Focus on these areas for a few more breaths and when you're ready,

We're going to begin to breathe into these areas.

Focus your attention on one particular part of the body that is craving for a release of stress.

Take a long,

Slow exhale and as you breathe in,

Imagine that a light is entering your body through your nostrils and it begins to move towards that particular body part.

Hold this nourishing light on your tension for a couple of seconds and as you exhale,

Envision that tension being released.

Continue with this same body part for as many inhales and exhales as it takes until the tension,

Discomfort,

Or stress is lessened or it disappears all at once.

All together.

Continue to take long,

Slow inhalations and on your exhales,

Release your tension.

Let's move on to another area of tightness and repeat the same exercise as we did on the last body part.

Imagine a nice,

Bright light filling your lungs as you inhale and then moving towards the area of tension as you exhale.

Allow that light to carry the tension away on your slow,

Long,

And continue inhaling and exhaling,

Focusing on that particular body part until the tension has lessened or it disappears completely.

Take another deep inhale and now take a slow,

Cleansing exhale.

When you're finished,

Bring awareness to your entire body,

Taking note of how much more relaxed you are than when you started.

And if you need to extend your meditation,

You can always start this over and just know that you hold the power to your relaxation right there inside of you.

All with the power of your breath.

Thank you for joining me in today's meditation.
