You may begin by lying down with support under your knees such as a pillow,

A rolled up blanket,

Maybe a yoga block.

If you'd like,

Close your eyes or lower your gaze and start by observing your breath and how your breath feels today within your body.

It may feel deep and rich or it may feel shallow and light.

There's no right or wrong way for it to feel.

Just observe it.

Bring your awareness to the base of your nostrils right where the breath enters.

Notice the sensation of it entering and exiting your nostrils.

Maybe it's cool as it enters and warm as it exhales.

Allow yourself to take notice.

Draw your awareness in a little deeper and notice how the breath feels on the inside of your nostrils.

You may notice that your breath swirls around as it's moving inside of your nostrils.

Can you draw your awareness inward even deeper?

Feel how your breath makes its way through the nostrils all the way through your lungs.

Imagine that the breath flows like a fluid as it makes its way in and out of your body.

Notice how your lungs expand when you inhale and contract when you exhale.

On your next inhale as your lungs expand,

Imagine that the oxygen washes from your lungs into your bloodstream.

From your bloodstream,

The oxygen makes its way to all your organs,

All your tissues,

And in every single cell in your body.

Imagine every cell in your body expanding and contracting with each breath.

Just stay with the pure sensations and allow the breath to wash through you and nourish your cells,

Your tissues,

And your organs.

If you like,

Bring your focus to one specific area that you may feel tension.

As you bring your focus to this area,

Bring your awareness imagining the air and the breath pushing any tension out of that area.

Every time you inhale,

You bring in fresh oxygen that washes through you.

And when you exhale,

You send out the unneeded,

Unwanted sensation.

Take as much time as you need right here.

And when you're ready,

Move to a different area of the body.

Inhaling fresh oxygen and exhaling any unwanted,

Unneeded stress.

Continue this practice for as long as you are comfortable.

And when you're ready,

Gently open your eyes and bring your awareness back to your surroundings.

Thank you for joining me in today's cellular breath practice.
