Take a few moments to get really comfy.
Soften your shoulders.
Unclench your jaw.
And very gently close your eyes.
Take some long,
Deep breaths.
And really ground yourself here in this moment.
Notice the surface you are sitting or lying on.
And really try and relax your whole body.
Welcome to this guided practice for the new moon in Leo.
This is a new moon that feels especially significant.
Because it arrives alongside a solar eclipse.
And it's also really close to the Lionsgate portal.
Whether these moments hold a deep spiritual meaning for you or simply offer you a chance to pause and reflect,
They all invite us to do the same thing.
They ask us to slow down.
Reconnect with ourselves,
And remember that every new beginning starts quietly.
The new moon is always the beginning of a new cycle.
It is a reminder that we do not have to wait for the perfect time to make a change.
We don't need a Monday or the first of the month or a new year.
Nature offers us an opportunity to begin again every single month.
And just like a seed beneath the soil Not everything has to be visible for growth to be taking place.
And this new moon carries an extra sense of possibility.
Eclipses often arrive during periods of change.
They can shine a light on what we've outgrown.
And gently encourage us to step towards something new.
And that doesn't mean we need to know exactly where we're going.
It just asks us to trust ourselves enough to take the next step.
Leo reminds us to come back to our hearts.
It's not about becoming louder or trying to be someone we're not.
It's about having the courage to be ourselves,
To stop shrinking,
To stop comparing.
To stop waiting until we feel perfect before we allow ourselves to be seen.
So during this meditation,
I'm going to ask you to put all of that aside.
There's nothing you need to prove during this practice,
Nothing you need to fix.
You're going to reconnect with the quiet strength.
That's already within you.
So take a few deep breaths before we start the visualization.
Imagine yourself standing under an evening sky.
Where the moon is hidden from view.
Above you,
Thousands of stars are starting to fill the growing darkness.
Although the moon isn't visible,
You know it's there.
Quietly beginning a new cycle.
And there's something quite comforting about that,
Because it reminds us that not everything important has to be seen.
Or has to be obvious or has to be loud.
Ahead to view is a narrow path winding through warm golden grass.
The air around you feels calm.
The breeze is really gentle.
And you begin walking slowly.
Allowing each step to bring you further away from the busyness of everyday life.
With every step,
Imagine leaving something behind.
Maybe this is the pressure to have everything figured out.
Or it might be conversations you've been replaying in your mind.
The expectations you've placed on yourself.
You don't need to carry any of that where you're going.
After a while.
You notice a large rock rising gently from the landscape.
Sitting peacefully on top of it.
Is a magnificent lion.
It isn't pacing,
It isn't roaring.
It isn't trying to prove anything.
It's just resting completely at ease in its own presence.
As you walk closer.
The lion slowly opens its eyes and looks towards you.
There's no fear,
There's no judgment.
There's just a very gentle recognition.
It climbs down from the rock and walks towards you with slow,
Steady confidence.
Every movement it makes feels calm you realise that this is what true confidence looks like.
It's not loud,
It's not rushed.
It doesn't need any sort of approval.
It simply knows itself.
The lion stops right in front of you.
And very gently rest its forehead against yours.
There is nothing at all to fear here.
You feel a really strong presence.
And you feel really safe.
Take a slow breath.
Imagine a warm golden light flowing between you and the lion.
Enter through your forehead.
And it spreads through your whole body.
Softening the places that have become tense from carrying too much for too long.
Feel it move through your mind,
Quietening self-doubt.
Feel it move through your chest.
Creating more space around your heart.
Feel it flow through every part of you.
Reminding you that underneath the fear,
Underneath the comparison.
And underneath the pressure to be more.
There is already enough.
And this lion hasn't come here to give you courage.
It has come to remind you that you've had it all along.
The lion turns and begins walking.
And without needing to think about it,
You follow.
The two of you continue along the path.
Until in the distance you notice a beautiful golden gateway standing beneath the stars.
It feels really familiar,
As though you've reached the doorway to the next chapter of your life.
Before you step through it,
Just pause for a moment.
Place one hand gently over your heart.
And ask yourself.
What do I want to grow?
Not what I want to achieve,
Not what do I think other people expect from me.
But what do I truly want to grow?
Maybe courage.
Joy Trust.
Just allow one intention to come into your heart.
And now ask yourself one more question.
What am I ready to leave behind?
So this might be self-doubt,
Perfectionism,
Maybe a habit.
A vice.
Whatever comes to you.
Imagine placing it gently on the ground behind you with gratitude.
Maybe this once served you,
It has brought you this far,
But it doesn't need to come with you any further.
The lion looks towards you.
As though it is asking one simple question.
Are you ready?
And when you are,
You're going to step through the gateway.
On the other side,
Nothing dramatic changes.
The landscape is still peaceful.
The stars still shine above you.
But something inside you feels different.
You feel lighter,
More open,
More yourself.
A little further ahead,
You notice someone standing in the distance.
As you move closer.
You realise you're looking at yourself.
Not a perfect version,
Not someone who has all the answers.
Just you living with a little bit more trust,
A little bit more courage.
And carrying the intention that you have set.
Just notice how they smile at you,
Notice how they carry themselves.
And ask them if there's one thing they would like you to remember.
Just trust whatever comes.
As you stand together,
The lion quietly walks past and looks out towards the horizon.
It takes one deep breath.
Before letting out a single powerful roar.
You hear the sound roll across the landscape.
And you feel it through your whole body.
It doesn't frighten you,
It awakens you.
Imagine that roar reaching every part of you that has forgotten its own strength.
Every part that's been waiting for permission to believe in itself.
Every part that's been hiding behind fear.
And as the echo fades,
The silence feels different.
It feels full and peaceful.
It feels like possibility.
The lion turns back toward you one final time.
Before slowly walking away across the landscape.
Until it disappears.
Bring your attention back to the intention that you've chosen.
And imagine planting it gently into the earth beneath your feet like a tiny seed.
You don't need to know exactly how it will grow or what it will look like.
Every seed spends time in darkness before it reaches the light.
And I think that that is the greatest lesson of the new moon.
Trust the unseen,
Trust the process.
Trust yourself.
Take one final slow,
Deep breath in.
And gently sigh it out.
I'm going to ask you to leave the visualization now.
And come back to the space that you are in.
You might want to bring some gentle movement back into your fingers and toes.
Really notice the surface beneath you.
Just notice the sounds around you.
And whenever it feels right,
Slowly open your eyes.
Carrying your intention with you.
And trusting that this quiet beginning is already creating something beautiful.
If this practice resonated with you,
I would love for you to visit my teacher page where you can find out more about the work I do.
And I hope you will come back.
And meditate with me again under another new moon.
Thank you so much for meditating with me today.
As always,
It has been an absolute pleasure.
