Welcome to this guided meditation for the Harvest Moon.
Find a really comfy position.
Preferably seated with your back straight but you can lie down if that feels better for you.
And gently close your eyes.
Take a slow,
Deep breath in through your nose.
And breathe out through your mouth.
Allow your shoulders to soften.
Relax your jaw.
And release any tension around your eyes.
Allow your breath to return to its natural rhythm.
And notice the feeling of the surface beneath you,
Supporting the weight of your body.
There is nowhere else you need to be right now.
And nothing you need to work out.
Simply allow yourself.
To be here.
This full moon arrives just after the autumn equinox.
As we move into a new season.
And begin the transition from the energy of summer towards the quieter months ahead.
The harvest moon traditionally marked a time of gathering,
What had grown before the season changed.
And we can use this moment to recognize our own inner harvest as well.
What has grown in your life?
What have you learned?
And what has changed over these past months.
This full moon falls in Aries,
Which is the first sign of the zodiac.
It's associated with fire,
With courage,
With independence,
Instinct,
And new beginnings.
Aries asks us to trust ourselves.
And have the courage to move towards what we want.
Even when we don't know exactly where it will lead.
So today we are going to use this full moon to acknowledge what we have grown.
Release something we don't want to carry into this new season.
And then turn our attention towards what comes next.
Take a deep breath.
Before we start the visualisation.
I'm going to ask you to imagine that you are standing outside.
On a clear autumn evening.
The air feels cool and fresh against your skin.
And above you is the huge bright harvest moon.
Illuminating the landscape around you.
Feel the energy from this moon,
Feel the light.
Feel the wisdom,
Feel the presence.
In front of you.
Is a path leading through open countryside.
Begin to walk slowly along it,
Noticing the sound of your footsteps against the earth.
You can see fields stretching into the distance.
Trees beginning to change colour.
You notice leaves moving gently in the breeze.
Notice the signs of the changing season around you.
And the feeling that one chapter is ending.
To give way to another.
Connect all of your senses here.
Really put yourself here.
Notice the smells,
Notice the sounds.
Notice how it all makes you feel.
And as you walk.
Begin to think about the path you have traveled over these past months.
Think back to where you were earlier in the year.
And notice what has changed since then.
Perhaps something you hoped and wished for has begun to take shape.
Maybe something you once wanted no longer feels important or aligned.
There may have been unexpected changes,
Difficult moments.
New beginnings,
Maybe things you have had to learn about yourself.
Just think about what you know now.
That you didn't know at the beginning of this year.
The boundaries you have learnt to create.
The decisions you have made.
The risks you have taken.
The ways you have changed.
Just allow yourself to acknowledge all of this as part of your harvest.
Maybe your year hasn't looked exactly as you imagined.
But there has been growth.
Growth has taken place.
As you continue walking,
You become aware that you are wearing a heavy cloak around your shoulders.
And you probably didn't notice its weight until now,
But you're suddenly very aware of it.
This cloak represents something that you have been carrying that you no longer need to take with you into this new season.
Maybe it's fear,
An expectation,
A disappointment,
A habit.
A relationship.
And you don't need to search for an answer.
Simply ask yourself.
What am I carrying that I am ready to put down?
Just allow whatever comes to mind to be there.
Ahead of you,
The path begins to divide.
And you arrive at a crossroads.
So just stop here for a moment under the light of the full moon.
And feel the cloak around your shoulders.
Whatever it represents for you.
You don't need to judge yourself for having carried it.
Perhaps it once protected you,
Or maybe it simply belongs to a chapter of your life that is now ending.
So take a deep breath in.
And as you exhale.
Slowly remove the cloak.
From your shoulders.
Place it gently on the ground behind you.
And notice how your body feels without its weight.
You are not leaving behind what you have learned from the past.
You are simply choosing not to carry all of it forwards with you.
So turn your attention towards the two paths in front of you now.
And look towards the one on your left.
This is the familiar path.
It represents what you already know.
Patterns you have repeated,
The choices that made you feel safe.
The things you have continued because they were expected of you.
And there is nothing wrong with this paw.
It is familiar,
It is safe.
But just notice how you feel as you look towards it.
And now look towards the second path,
The one towards the right.
This one stretches forwards and is bathed in the moonlight.
You can't see exactly where it ends.
But it represents something that feels really true for you now,
Something really aligned.
Perhaps something you want to begin or change or ask for.
Something you want to finally acknowledge,
Something you're ready to acknowledge.
And you really don't know where it will lead.
There is a sense of excitement.
Just notice what happens inside you as you look towards it.
Aerie's energy is instinctive.
It's about listening to yourself before fear or overthinking takes over.
So as you stand at this crossroads,
Ask yourself.
If nobody else had an opinion about my life,
What would I choose?
What would I do if I trusted myself a little bit more?
You don't need to force an answer here,
Just notice what comes naturally.
And one path might create a feeling of expansion,
Of curiosity.
And you don't need absolute certainty.
Aries reminds us that sometimes clarity comes.
After we have found the courage it takes to begin.
This crossroads marks your entrance into a new season.
And you're not stepping into it empty-handed.
You are bringing everything that you have learned,
Everything you have grown.
And everything you now understand about yourself.
You do get to decide what comes with you.
The weight you placed on the ground can stay there.
I'm going to ask you to choose your path now,
To the left or to the right.
And see yourself taking one deliberate step forwards.
Feel your foot meet the earth beneath you.
You don't need to run down the path or know exactly where it is going.
For now,
One step is enough.
Ask yourself what this step could represent in your real life.
What is one tangible action you could take as you enter this new season?
Maybe a conversation,
A decision,
An email,
A boundary.
Just one action.
And make a quiet commitment to yourself to take that step.
I'm going to ask you to look up once more at the Harvest Moon above you.
You have acknowledged what has grown.
You have let go of something you no longer want to carry and you have chosen a direction.
Allow the fire and courage of Aries to remind you that you don't have to feel completely ready before you begin.
You just have to decide to begin.
Take a few deep breaths here and let the landscape slowly begin to fade away.
Bring your awareness back to your body.
Feeling the surface beneath you And begin to gently move your fingers and toes.
Whenever you feel ready,
You can gently open your eyes.
I want to thank you very much for being here with me,
For meditating under this harvest moon.
And I wish you a wonderful season.
