Welcome to this full moon meditation.
Gently bring yourself into this space with a few deep breaths.
Close your eyes and let your body relax.
Feeling the comfort of the surface you're sitting on beneath you and the grounding energy of the earth supporting you.
Allow yourself to be fully present in this moment.
Focus on your breath.
Inhale deeply through your nose and exhale slowly through your mouth.
With each breath feel yourself becoming more relaxed.
Notice the gentle rise and fall of your chest and abdomen.
If your mind starts to wander during this meditation simply bring your attention back to your breath.
The August full moon known as the Sturgeon moon is a wonderful time to embrace abundance and let go of anything that isn't serving you.
The Sturgeon moon was named by Native American tribes because August was a time when sturgeon fish were most abundant in the Great Lakes.
This August it is also one of the super moons of the year which means it will appear larger and brighter in the sky.
This full moon is an Aquarius,
A sign known for innovation and freedom.
The Sturgeon moon represents a time of harvesting not just in agriculture but also in our personal and spiritual lives.
So this powerful combination of the lunar phase encourages us to embrace change,
Think creatively and prepare for the transitions that lie ahead as we move towards autumn.
The blend of the super moon's powerful energy with the forward-thinking nature of Aquarius makes this an ideal time to reflect on personal growth and what you would like to release in order to move on to your next chapter.
So once again please come back to your breath and feeling the grounding energy of the earth supporting you.
Visualise the big beautiful full moon rising in the night sky.
See its radiant light overpower the darkness.
Feel the moon's powerful energy surrounding you filling you with a sense of serenity and peace.
Reflect on the abundance in your life.

The full moon is a particularly good time to let go of anything that no longer serves you.

Behaviours or situations are you ready to get rid of today?
I'm going to give you some time now to really think about this so that you are really clear on what you want to release.
So you might now have some clarity on what it is that you want to let go of.
Imagine placing these burdens into a big balloon.
See the balloon lifting off,
Carrying away everything you no longer need.
Watch the balloon disappear into the night sky leaving you feeling lighter and freer.
Really embrace this feeling of relief.
Notice how it makes you feel in your mind,
Body and spirit.
Repeat silently or out loud I release what no longer serves me to make space for new opportunities.

Now take a moment to simply enjoy the moon's glow.
Even if you haven't seen the full moon today really try to connect to its presence and its power.
Feel its energy washing over you recharging and rejuvenating every cell in your body.
I'm going to invite you now to come back to your environment by introducing some movement into your body.
And when you are ready you can gently open your eyes.
It is really important to thank yourself for the time you have dedicated today to your well-being.
