If you've been feeling some heavy emotions,
Come to a seated position,
Whether that's cross-legged or in a chair,
Closing down the eyes and taking a deep breath,
Breathing in through the nose and sighing it out,
Letting it go,
Finding a steady rhythm,
And I want you to turn your attention inwards towards the heaviness,
The overthinking,
The overbearing,
The weight that you're feeling,
This internal pressure that's building up,
That's all-consuming.
Notice where it is in your body and just slowing down the breath,
Taking gentle inhales in through the nose and out through the nose.
Turn your focus towards that for a while,
To the air traveling in through the nose,
Expanding the ribcage,
How a full breath reaches the edges of your body and as you do this you build a deeper connection with your body,
Not being so burdened by the heaviness of the mind but connecting to yourself and building a bridge between head and heart,
The physical and the mental,
And begin to activate your imagination as we take this groundedness a step further.
Imagine roots beginning to grow from your thighs,
From your back,
Making their way down to the earth and burying themselves into the ground,
Breaking through the materials to reach the earth and these roots turn into vines that are digging deep,
Deep into the center of the earth until they find an anchor and they wrap themselves around that anchor and pull tight until you feel a tug,
A tension,
A steadiness that you're anchored,
That you feel supported,
That you're grounded into the earth now and connected.
Feel this support,
This structure and this stability start to hold you as you come back from the earth,
Back into your body and you come up to the rise of these overwhelming feelings where you feel them in your heart,
You feel this tension in your throat and up into your head,
Where the tops of your eyes and your mind space feels busy as all these thoughts and feelings circulate in this top half of your body creating this whirlwind of sensation just sending all of this energy now to this top part of your body until it gets really tense until it increases in its density to the point that it's almost compacted and it's all gathered together,
This energetic dust of thoughts and feelings really gather it all together and as it builds with pressure and this energetic dust is so compacted I want you to imagine it bursting through and this dust just erupts outside of you turning into this shimmering display that's hovering around you and feel this instant relief allow your body to drop as everything is suspended in the liminal space around outside of your body but a part of your energy but it's not all consuming,
It's not all overwhelming the pressure of it and the intensity of it has been released and this energy that is floating around you,
This dust,
It shimmers and glimmers it's a mixture of beauty,
Of hopes and dreams,
Of pain and grief everything and nothing,
All that could be,
All that wasn't the present moment,
The past,
The future it is everything floating around you I want you to imagine this dust starts to gather and turn into a spiral that dances around your body and it's spiraling down and now you can feel this energy softly,
It's more like a hug than this overbearing pressure that is built up a space for you to breathe whilst you experience this energy and as it spirals around you it makes its way to your roots and the dust begins to absorb into these roots and uses these roots as a transfer it's taken this energy that was stuck in the top of your mind and it's made its way down through your body and is now heading into the earth burying deep into the ground not to be forgotten but to nurture the soil around you and to dissipate to be glimmers and shimmers of experiences that have happened that are still a part of you but do not consume you it nourishes the soil in which you grow and it allows you to still blossom deteriorating your development,
Not deteriorating your growth not deteriorating the way that you're able to see to step up and shine to move forward instead it's becoming a part of your support system taking a deep breath placing the hands on the floor or on your thighs just sending a wave of gratitude,
Of thanks for being able to feel in a less intense way for being able to let go for being able to surrender being able to surrender sensations and soften but allows you to bloom a gentle thank you to yourself and thank you to the sensations and bringing your hands up to your heart gently moving in circular motions bringing the corners of the lips into a gentle smile taking a final deep breath in through the nose opening up the mouth and sighing it out a sense of relief of gratitude extend that smile a little bit more if you have it in you opening up the eyes
