So I invite us to,

Whatever I guide us with today,

Which will likely be on peace,

Invite you to tune more into your breath and pay attention to that the entire time.

So that's more important than anything else,

To tune into the breath and the body.

So I thought really briefly we would do a clearing of sorts,

And this comes from language,

Just a brief phrase from Matt Kahn.

And what I invite us to do here is tune into our core values,

Whatever is important to you,

And when I say fill in the blank,

You fill in the blank with those core values or purpose.

And if you don't know what it is,

You can just say,

You know,

What my purpose is,

Even if you don't know it,

Right?

So I'll just say the language real quick,

And then you can consider if you'd like to do it.

And then we're only going to clear what's,

You know,

Allowable by cosmic law,

Natural law,

Whatever you'd like to call it.

So we're in accordance with that.

So I allow all that's no longer needed for this journey of well-being,

Realizing awakening,

And Buddhahood even,

So that will be fill in the blank,

To be cleared out of this energy field,

And what I'm allowed to clear out in the space that I currently inhabit,

Return to the source of its origin,

Transmuted completely,

And healed to completion now.

So again,

I'll repeat that really briefly,

And then we'll say it for real,

Right?

You can either repeat it out loud or to yourself,

And so it's I allow all that's no longer needed for fill in the blank,

And when I'm allowed to clear out of the space I inhabit,

To be cleared out of the energy fields,

Return to the space,

Return to the source of its origins,

Excuse me,

Easy for me to say,

Transmuted completely,

And healed to completion now.

Okay,

So I invite you now to repeat after me with this.

If you're called to do so,

I allow all that's no longer required for this journey of,

In my values of fill in the blank,

To be cleared out of this energy field,

My energy field,

And what's allowed to be cleared in the space I inhabit,

Return to the source of its origin,

Transmuted completely,

And healed to completion now.

Okay,

Again let's return to our breath,

The body breathing.

So I don't know about any of you guys,

But I've noticed kind of a ramping up in the war energy with what's going on,

What we hear in the news,

And no matter how we feel about that,

What we think about that,

Who's right,

Who's wrong,

What should be done,

What shouldn't be done.

I invite us to all put that on a shelf now,

And we'll address this more on an energetic level within our own lives,

And by extension to those we love,

To those we interact with every day,

And we'll potentially ripple out through our interconnectedness.

So tuning into this,

If it's a thing,

I noticed myself,

I've seen this in other people first,

And I've kind of pointed the finger at them,

And of course the old saying,

When a finger's pointing out,

Three fingers are pointing back.

And so then I found myself being challenged by this kind of contentious,

Hostile,

Unwholesome,

Unwise energy of war,

Conflict,

Senseless aggression,

Violence,

For unwholesome,

Unskillful,

Unwise purposes.

And so if not to bring this forth,

If you're not experiencing that,

That's great.

If you have experienced that,

Maybe invite us to acknowledge this type of thing right now.

Notice what kind of feelings come up.

If there's memories in those feelings,

Bring forth these feelings,

And notice where that's felt in the body.

Maybe it's a kind of tension in the brain area,

The skull region.

Maybe it's some kind of heat,

Temperature rising.

Maybe there's some kind of shaking or effect on the nervous system.

And so not to make anything special happen,

Just notice what's here when the mind turns its attention.

This type of war.

Also noticing that when we're anti-war,

It's also tapping into that same energy.

Being against war is not really that much different from war in one respect,

Energetically at least.

The unconscious mind has trouble with the word anti,

It's tuning into the word war.

And so now that we might possibly be more attuned in acknowledging this type of energy,

We can then invite ourselves to address this,

Right?

And let's just spend a few moments in silence.

Instead of me telling you how to address this or what to do,

What not to do,

Just invite us to tune in.

Maybe the simple question of what's needed now.

What might be skillful,

Wholesome,

And wise to address this type of energy,

This type of war,

Anti-war,

And the fallout and effects from it.

What's needed with this?

Let's just spend a few moments in silence.

If you're distracted,

That's okay.

Welcome to come back to the intent.

Just acknowledge distraction,

That maybe it's a kind of break from all this.

Maybe it's a coping mechanism for the stress and suffering.

That we go through and just acknowledge that.

We can come back to this intent for a few more moments.

What's needed to address conflict,

Contention,

And war.

In my own life,

Not on a grand scale,

We start with me.

Any kind of collective consciousness effect.

Any kind of effect we hear from the news,

From others talking about this,

Or maybe even if you have a closer connection with any of this stuff going on.

But how does it affect me,

Which then can potentially affect others,

And what's needed to address this.

Okay.

Now,

I invite you to perhaps make a conscious effort to remember,

If anything came up on how to address that.

So if you'd like to share it later,

Or remember it later just for yourself.

And one thing that came to me was,

You know,

It's fairly socially acceptable,

I guess for good or bad,

Good or ill,

If you want to use those words,

So to speak,

For lack of better words,

To mention war.

To turn on the news and see this,

See people talking about this conflict on social media.

You know,

Supporting this cause,

Supporting that cause,

Demonizing this,

Demonizing that.

And,

You know,

To have the courage and bravery to consider peace in the face of all this.

So,

I actually find it more courageous and brave to actually focus on peace.

So now we know,

Obviously,

What kind of fallouts and downsides of this can be.

So do we want to continue giving energy to that?

Or do we now want to shift our focus to peace,

And perhaps the things that came to you to address this type of war energy?

Let's take a moment to let sink in how courageous and brave it actually is to spend time putting our mind and hearts into peace,

And how a lot of the world doesn't really support that right now.

And even just considering that can be challenging,

Right?

Having the right intent on that,

But sometimes it doesn't play out that way,

Right?

But a patient persistence effort and focus on that will help bring that forth.

And we're just talking about our own lives here.

And,

Like I said,

By default that can affect everyone we're at,

Everyone we meet,

Every place we're at.

And so it's not trying to lie to ourselves and say,

It's there when it's not,

Tuning into the intention of this,

Considering the benefits and possibilities of this.

Knowing there's different degrees of peace too,

Right?

And this could just mean the lack of ill will.

So if there's no ill will harbored to ourselves or others,

That is peace.

And of course the opposite of ill will is loving kindness,

Which is simply the absence of ill will to begin with.

So we can tune into how harmful having ill will is to ourselves,

Like trying to pick up a hot coal and throw it at someone else,

We get burned.

Feeling into that.

And now seeing those coals and having the choice not to pick them up.

Not even the historical Buddha could stop war.

I don't know,

Maybe there's just a certain type of energy that goes into it,

Just kind of got to play itself out.

So another thing we can do is tap in,

Use our imagination if needed,

And tap into when these conflicts are already resolved in the future.

So at some point these conflicts will come to an end,

And then there'll be at least some sort of resolution that there is not now,

Some greater peace that we can potentially access now,

Tune into now,

Be it energetically,

Visually,

And tune into the ripple effects of the peace,

Of those moments of when there's more dissolving,

Resolution,

Ending of such conflicts.

And noticing if that can have a beneficial effect on our well-being now.

And not to be in any kind of conflict,

Added conflict of,

Oh,

I've got to anchor this energy,

I've got to use this energy to oppose what's going on now.

Be mindful if that occurs as well.

So it's almost like leapfrogging over all that,

And into the future energy of the end of this conflict.

Be it on the extreme of a complete and utter hoax on one unwholesome extreme,

Or way worse than anything anyone can ever imagine on the other end of the extreme.

And so it's a pretty bleak spectrum that will end at some point.

And we're tuning into the peace that's there in the future,

When the energy of that has petered out.

Okay,

So now I invite you now to ground this in more practicality of loving-kindness,

A traditional loving-kindness practice in our own lives.

Actually,

Before we do that,

Let's do a brief compassion,

Formal compassion practice.

I like to do this with phrases.

And I often do this with things in our own life,

And you're welcome to do that with another who's been potentially challenging in the near future.

And we can also incorporate that with the greater collective thing that's going on,

With skirmishes and conflicts and violence.

So we can start with ourselves and these four phrases.

I acknowledge this pain,

And I care about this pain.

May this pain release.

May I know peace.

Again,

I acknowledge this pain and care about this pain.

May this pain release.

And may there be peace,

Known peace now.

Acknowledging pain,

Tuning into whatever care is available now for such pain,

Intending for the pain to release with the result of peace.

And we can tune into a challenging person,

Probably we don't want to choose the most challenging person,

And or let's just do one at a time.

Actually,

Since we're running out of time,

You can choose either person in our lives or this greater conflict as a whole.

I acknowledge your pain or that pain.

And care about your pain or that pain,

Collective pain,

To whatever degree I'm able to now.

May such pain release.

And may peace be known.

You're welcome to visualize,

Feel into this along with the words,

I acknowledge your pain,

Or pain on the collective level,

And bring whatever care is accessible to me now to that such pain.

And may that pain release.

And may peace be known.

Acknowledging pain of another,

The collective pain,

And seeing what care is available to such pain,

Intending for it to release,

And for peace to be known.

So now,

After a few moments of silence,

Breath,

Transition,

We can move into loving kindness practice.

And let's start with ourselves,

And then we can move into everyone involved and touched by the current conflicts,

Skirmishes,

Warring,

And violence in the world.

And so knowing ill will and hostility,

Loving kindness is the antidote to that on an energetic level,

Or an antidote.

So starting with ourselves,

Bring an image to mind of yourself and feel into this.

And when I say the phrases,

May I be safe inside and out,

May I be happy and joyful,

May I be healthy and strong,

May I live knowing ease,

May I realize awakening and be free,

May I be safe inside and out,

May I be happy and joyful,

May I be healthy and strong,

May I live knowing ease,

And may I realize awakening and be free,

May I be safe internally and externally,

May I be happy and joyful,

Healthy and strong,

May I live knowing ease and peace,

May I realize awakening and be free.

And now on to the greater collective affected by conflict and war.

May you be safe inside and out,

May you be happy and joyful,

May you be healthy and strong,

May you live knowing ease and peace,

May you realize awakening and be free,

May be safe internally and externally,

May you be happy and joyful,

Healthy and strong,

May you live with ease,

Peace in your heart,

Access to peace in your heart,

Peace,

May you realize awakening and be free,

May be safe inside and out,

May be happy,

Joyful,

Uplifted,

Elevated,

May be healthy and strong in body,

Mind and speech,

May you live with peace and ease,

And may you realize awakening and be free.

May all beings everywhere be safe inside and out,

May all beings everywhere,

No joy,

Happiness,

Upliftment,

May all beings everywhere,

No true health,

Beneficial strength,

May all beings everywhere,

No peace and ease,

May all beings everywhere realize awakening and be free.

Okay,

When you're ready you can open your eyes,

Bring the awareness back to the room.
