Hello and welcome.
Today I wanted to explore the concept of shame and how it can keep us stagnant.
When we feel shame for our past decisions or for our very being,
We can be consumed with how we present ourselves and how we show up in relationships.
The shame is always in the back of our minds,
Judging us and making us feel like we aren't enough or we aren't worthy.
But in this practice,
We are going to combat those thoughts and try to combat any shame we may feel through a guided breathing exercise.
Anytime you feel consumed by shame,
Anytime you are judging yourself,
Or you feel limited by your own thoughts and actions because of shame,
I want you to try this breathing exercise.
For the next few minutes,
We will be breathing along with a mantra that you can use on your own to combat shame.
You will breathe in and then breathe out and affirm,
I release any shame I hold in my mind,
Body,
And spirit.
Let's begin.
I will guide you throughout the whole process.
Inhale and exhale.
I release any shame I hold in my mind,
Body,
And spirit.
Inhale and exhale.
I release any shame I hold in my body,
Mind,
And spirit.
Inhale and exhale.
I release any shame I hold in my mind,
Body,
And spirit.
Inhale and exhale.
I release any shame I hold in my mind,
Body,
And spirit.
Inhale and exhale.
I release any shame I hold in my mind,
Body,
And spirit.
You can continue this process on your own if needed.
Again,
Anytime you feel consumed by shame,
Or you're judging yourself,
Or you feel limited by your own thoughts and actions because of shame,
I want you to try doing this breathing exercise and using this mantra.
Shame does not have to control you.
Release the shame you hold in your body,
Mind,
And spirit.
Take care.
