Welcome to this Aligned Living Meditation.
Today's meditation is going to be slightly different.
It's going to include the use of mantra,
Which basically means just repeating words to find a state of feeling grounded,
Safe and protected.
With all that is going on in the world and especially here in Australia at the moment,
In and out of lockdowns,
Can just allow us to perhaps at times feel a little unsafe or supported or a little bit of that fear,
Can sometimes allow us to lose our grounding,
Our centre.
And so I invite you now to find a comfy seat.
Mantras or meditations with repetition are often better utilised by the body and finding this sense of grounding when the spine is nice and straight.
So sitting on a cushion on the ground,
Maybe in a chair,
And just allowing yourself to just gently connect in slowly and softly with your breath.
Perhaps noticing the consistency of your breath.
Does it feel shallow?
Does it feel flowing?
Does it feel restricted?
Does it feel tense and stressed?
Just before we move into our mantra,
Before we move into the I am safe energy,
I just want you to allow yourself to take four or five breaths here and just tune into the vibes and the sensations that you're perhaps receiving through your breath.
Just allow yourself to be with the breath,
Not trying to change necessarily or control it,
Just noticing that the subtleties of your breath.
And then I invite you to allow your hands to,
If they haven't already,
Gently rest on the knees.
You might even like to place one on the heart or one on the lower belly,
Allowing that tactile connection with your body to also bring in this sense of feeling safe,
Feeling grounded and protected.
And the mantra we're going to use today is going to be a three part mantra,
Almost like a three part affirmation that we're just going to continuously say over and over to get us perhaps out of our minds,
Out of a state of perhaps fight and flight.
Just get us back in touch with our bodies,
With perhaps the ground,
And just allow yourself to feel and honour this sense of feeling safety,
A sense of support from within the body,
From within yourself,
And not necessarily having to feel safe from externally.
And so the mantra we're going to use in this meditation is,
I am grounded.
I am safe.
I am divinely protected at all times.
I'm going to say that a couple of times,
And then we're going to move into some stillness.
And I just want you to see if you can continue the mantra.
It's okay if you let it go.
I am grounded.
I am safe.
And I am divinely protected at all times.
The words that we're going to constantly use on a sense of repetition for the next few minutes.
So just invite you,
If you haven't already,
To just settle into yourself.
Perhaps repeat the words a couple of times to yourself.
I am grounded.
I am safe.
I am divinely protected at all times.
So I'm going to say it another three or four times with you.
And then I invite you to just find your own rhythm and flow with the mantra.
I'm grounded.
I'm safe.
I'm divinely protected at all times.
I'm grounded.
I'm safe.
I'm divinely protected at all times.
I'm grounded.
I'm safe.
I'm divinely protected at all times.
I'm grounded.
I'm safe.
I'm divinely protected at all times.
Just allow yourself to continue saying these words.
Knowing that whatever needs releasing and clearing from the mind,
Body and soul,
That is not allowing you to feel this sense of safety,
Support or security within yourself,
Is being released and let go as you're saying these words.
I am grounded.
I am safe.
I am divinely protected at all times.
And now just continuing the mantra on your own.
Oh.
Oh.
Coming back to the mantra if the mind has wondered,
I am grounded,
I am safe.
I am divinely protected at all times.
I am safe.
I am divinely protected at all times.
I am safe.
I am divinely protected at all times.
I am safe.
And let's repeat the mantra once again together three times.
I am grounded.
I am safe.
I am divinely protected at all times.
I'm grounded.
I am safe.
I am divinely protected at all times.
I am grounded.
I am safe.
I am divinely protected at all times.
Saying it to yourself one more time.
Feeling into your body.
Feeling into your energy field.
And perhaps notice any subtle changes or shifts that may have occurred or vibrated through your being after having done the mantra and the repetition.
Just being with that vibration for three breaths.
I'm grounded.
I'm safe.
I am divinely protected at all times.
Knowing that you can come back to this mantra whenever you're feeling a little unsettled,
Uncentred.
When perhaps something is out of your control,
Occurs in your life.
Just come back to the mantra,
Allowing it to bring you back to that sense of stability,
Support and security.
Coming back softly to your breath.
Again,
You may notice any subtle changes in your breath.
Perhaps tuning into the noises externally.
The birds,
The wind,
Perhaps rain.
Feeling the body in an upright position.
And you may like to roll the head to the chin and then back again,
Moving through the neck.
Maybe moving your chin from side to side,
Moving the neck from side to side.
Maybe even a few shoulder shrugs.
Just coming back to the physical body.
Coming back to your senses,
To environment.
Just remembering this mantra whenever it is that you need a sense of support and safety.
I'm grounded.
I'm safe.
I am divinely guided at all times.
Take that mantra with you back into your day.
Back into your week.
Namaste.
