The holiday season can be so Loud—festive music everywhere, crowded stores, family gatherings, constant notifications reminding us to buy and do more. But what if we carved out a small space for quiet? Silence isn't empty—it's full of possibility. It's where we reconnect with ourselves, hear our own wisdom, and remember what truly matters. Today, we practice embracing the quiet—not as something to fill, but as something to receive.

Welcome to the quiet.

Settle into your seat and allow your eyes to close gently.

Take three slow breaths with me.

Breathe in and out.

Let your breath return to its natural flow.

Simply notice it,

The gentle whisper of air moving in and out.

We live in a world that fears silence.

We fill every moment with noise,

Music,

Television,

Scrolling,

Talking.

But silence is not the enemy.

Silence is the spacious container that holds all of life.

In this moment,

Allow yourself to sink into the quiet.

If you notice sounds around you,

The hum of a heater,

Distant traffic,

A bird outside,

That's ok.

These sounds are part of the silence too.

Notice any resistance that arises.

Perhaps your mind wants to fill this space with thoughts,

With planning,

With worry.

That's totally normal.

Just notice it and gently return to the quiet.

In the silence you might begin to hear things you've been missing.

The wisdom of your own heart.

The gentle guidance of your intuition.

The truth about what you really need.

This quiet space is always here,

Waiting for you.

Even in the busiest,

Loudest moments,

There's a stillness at your center that no one and nothing can disturb.

Breathe into this stillness.

Let it expand.

Feel how peaceful it is here in the quiet heart of yourself.

You don't need to do anything or become anything in this silence.

You can simply rest here,

Held by the quiet,

Supported by your own presence.

As we close,

Know that you can return to this quiet sanctuary anytime you need it.

It's not somewhere you have to travel to.

It's right here,

Right now,

Always available.

Take a deep breath in and release it slowly.

Begin to wiggle your fingers and toes,

Bringing gentle movement back to your body.

When you're ready,

Softly open your eyes.

Carry this quiet with you today.

It's yours to keep.
