This is a space where nothing needs to rush,
Not your thoughts,
Not your body,
Not your breath.
So much of life asks us to hurry,
To get somewhere,
To become something,
To stay ahead.
But right now,
You get to return to a rhythm that isn't urgent,
The rhythm of the breath that remembers rest.
And so starting by sitting or lying down in a way that feels like rest,
Letting your arms rest,
Letting your belly soften,
Letting your jaw unclench,
And closing your eyes or gently softening your gaze,
And taking a slow,
Easy breath in through your nose,
And a long,
Gentle breath out through the mouth.
And as you do,
Letting your breath hear this message,
It's safe to slow down,
And again inhaling slower,
And exhaling that sweet release,
And just continuing in this way,
With each breath sinking deeper into the support,
Trusting in it a little,
No one to be,
Just being right here with your breath,
And letting the slow rhythm of your breath stretch you inwards,
Letting it slow your system,
As if you're turning down a dial,
Just breath,
Just presence,
Ever increasing space,
And you,
Right here,
Even slower exhale,
Letting go of any need to arrive,
You're already exactly where you need to be,
If the mind jumps ahead,
No judgement,
Simply returning to the breath,
Once you notice,
Innocently favoring the breath,
Gently bringing yourself back,
Again and again,
Back to the breath,
Back to the body,
Back to this moment right here,
Inhaling slow and steady,
Letting each exhale get longer,
Letting it unfold more and more,
And feeling that pause at the end,
Before returning to your natural rhythm,
And just noticing the stillness within you,
The shift that's taken place,
By not rushing,
But allowing yourself to rest in the gentle rhythm of your breath,
And taking as much time as you want or need here,
Only when you're ready,
Opening your eyes,
Returning to your space,
But letting this slower rhythm follow you through your day,
You don't need to keep up with the world,
You can let the world slow down,
To match your breath,
