This guided meditation audio will use powerful techniques to help you sink into a deep state of relaxation.
So please be sure that wherever you're listening to this audio you're in a safe and comfortable place free from distractions where you can fully relax and let go.
Please make sure you're sitting or lying comfortably in a place where you're free from interruption where you can focus only on yourself and enjoy this time just for you.
Should you need to open your eyes at any time your subconscious mind will alert you and you'll easily come out of this beautiful state of relaxation.
But for now make sure your head is fully supported and that you're as comfortable as you can be as you gently close your eyes and begin your journey of enhanced physical and mental wellbeing.
Now I want you to take a long deep breath in.
Hold it for a count of four.
And then breathe out to a count of six.
And again take a long deep breath in to a count of four.
Hold it for a count of four.
And then breathe out to a count of six.
And when you're ready I'd like you to imagine yourself in a room somewhere.
Perhaps it's your bedroom or a favourite room of yours.
Wherever it is you love it here.
It's a place you feel relaxed calm and at peace.
As you walk into the room you notice it's dim.
There isn't much light but it's lovely and quiet.
So quiet that you can hear your feet as you slowly walk around.
You reach for a cupboard or drawer and pull out a candle and match.
You carefully light the candle and blow out the match as you place the candle on a table in front of you.
The flickering flame gives off a beautiful soft glow.
Gently illuminating the room.
Giving you a warm and soothing feeling inside.
You take a seat opposite the candle and watch it flickering.
Becoming fixated by the flame.
You feel so calm and relaxed watching the flame.
You notice all of its beautiful colours.
Yellow,
Orange,
Perhaps you can also see red,
Purple and blue.
Every time the flame moves it looks like it's dancing.
Teasing you with its beauty as you watch it expand and then flicker down into a smaller dance again.
You feel yourself growing calmer and calmer watching the flame.
It's as if all your worries and anxieties are melting away in the candle's warmth.
And as the candle gets warmer and warmer you start to see the wax slowly starting to melt down at side.
Sliding all the way down.
Deeper down.
As the candle's wax melts and relaxes,
You too relax.
Sinking further into your bed or chair.
Feeling your body getting heavier and heavier as you let go of tension.
Letting go of worries and anxieties now.
Feeling your body sliding into a deeper state of relaxation.
Letting all your worries and anxieties melt away in the candle's heat.
You keep watching the candle in the dancing flame.
When I count down from ten to one you notice that when you watch the candle,
Each time it flickers and the wax melts down the side,
You too will slide down into a state of deeper relaxation.
It's like your body and flame are in sync with one another.
Melting together into perfect relaxation.
And when the candle melts and relaxes,
You too slide deeper and deeper into a state of relaxation.
Starting now.
Ten.
Watch the wax slowly sliding down the candle.
Feeling your body sliding down into a state of deep relaxation.
Nine.
Watch the wax dripping down again.
Feel all your worries and anxieties melt away.
Eight.
Sliding down deeper down.
Seven.
Six.
Keep watching the soft wax and flickering flame.
As you double your relaxation.
Four.
Going deeper deeper down.
As you slide into calmness and peacefulness.
Three.
Feel your body releasing any tension.
Letting go now.
Two.
Watch the cascading wax and the dancing flame as you slide down.
Down into relaxation.
And one as you watch another drop of wax drip down.
You feel total relaxation from the top of your head to the tips of your toes.
You notice now that the candle has been getting smaller and smaller.
And soon the wick will flicker and go out.
And when it does the room will go dark.
And this will be a signal for you to enter the deepest state of relaxation that's possible for you.
I'll give you a minute now to watch the candle as it gets lower and lower.
Smaller and smaller and finally flickers out.
Leaving you in darkness and calmness stillness feeling safe and total peace.
You are now in a deep state of relaxation.
And I'd like to speak directly to your subconscious mind which often tries to protect us by keeping us in old out of date patterns.
I would like to thank your subconscious mind for doing such a great job of protecting you.
But it's okay to open up to new suggestions and opportunities.
You no longer need out of date emotions that no longer serve you.
Today your subconscious mind is open to receiving new and positive suggestions.
Now that you're in this deeply relaxed state it's time to think about conquering that old anxiety.
There may have been times when you felt anxious causing you to feel out of control overwhelmed and fearful.
Perhaps events seem too difficult to manage.
Perhaps even too many different things or too many different people to deal with.
But it's important to know that anxiety is healthy and normal and it happens to all of us in different ways at different times.
Anxiety helps us to identify and respond to danger in fight or flight mode.
It can motivate us to face up to dealing with difficult challenges.
The right amount of anxiety can help us perform better and stimulate action and creativity.
But it may have been that at times you have allowed your anxiety to become too alert too fearful.
And it's now time to allow your anxiety some time to refocus review to do its job better to minimize and return to helping you at the right time not all of the time.
And we're going to do that right now.
We're going to start by recognizing that your experiences are directed by your thoughts.
And your thoughts have been focusing on what might or what might not happen in the future.
Catastrophizing worrying second guessing and thinking negatively.
So we're now going to change that.
We're going to reprogram your mind to instead of thinking the worst think that things will go well.
Everything will work out for the best.
Your thinking patterns will be completely rerouted.
So you truly believe that you will and can handle anything that comes your way.
You are confident calm and in control at all times.
It's time to realize that you are in control of your thoughts as your beliefs are just thoughts that have been thought over time and time again.
Perhaps you have been thinking too much that you're not good enough.
Or you have been worrying about something out of your control.
Or a situation fear or phobia has been holding you back.
We can simply replace these old unwanted thoughts now with new empowering positive ones.
I am confident.
I am in control.
I am calm and relaxed.
I believe good things will happen to me.
I will handle anything that comes my way.
I will cope brilliantly.
I believe in myself and my abilities.
I am brave and courageous.
I am safe.
I am enough.
And now as we free ourselves of anxiety we replace these feelings with calmness,
Feelings of confidence,
Control and optimism for the future.
If you start to feel yourself becoming anxious you look around and tell yourself I am safe,
I am calm.
I am in control.
I can handle this because you will handle it.
You will handle anything that comes your way.
You are stronger than you think.
You are resilient.
You are confident.
You know that if you focus your mind and think positively you can handle anything that comes your way.
From now on you no longer worry about things that may happen in the future,
Things that may make you feel out of control.
As from now on you prefer to live more in the moment day by day,
Being more present,
Focusing on the here and now.
And as you take each day at a time,
Being present and mindful,
You release any tension or worries about things in the future that you can't control,
Taking each day one day at a time.
You remember that the body can't feel two conflicting emotions at once.
So your body can't feel anxious and calm.
It can't feel anger and joy.
So whenever you feel tension and anxiety I'd like you to do some relaxing breathing exercises.
Taking a deep breath in for four,
Holding for a count of four and slowly releasing for a count of six.
And you repeat this three times allowing your body to completely relax.
Taking control of your breathing and signaling to your mind that you're calm,
Relaxed and in control.
And once you have your breathing under control,
Gentle breaths in and out,
In for four,
Hold for four,
Out for six,
Then your body will have no choice but to slow down,
To ground yourself.
Your thinking will slow and calm down.
Your heartbeat will return to its normal steady pace.
Those feelings of anxiety will simply disappear and they'll be replaced with calm and stillness.
Gentle breaths in and out.
Using the breathing technique now.
Breathing in for a count of four,
Holding for a count of four,
Breathing out for a count of six.
Whenever you feel anxious from now on you simply use the breathing technique to flip the body from feeling an anxious state to a calm and relaxed state.
Breathing in calmness,
Breathing out tension,
Stress and anxiety.
You feel so much freer,
Much calmer,
Like a weight has been lifted off your shoulders.
Taking back control now.
Saying to yourself I am confident,
I am in control,
I am calm and relaxed.
I believe good things will happen to me.
I will handle anything that comes my way.
I will cope brilliantly.
I believe in myself and my abilities.
I am brave and courageous.
I am safe.
I am enough.
You realize now that you are not your thoughts.
Those old negative thoughts are merely old habits,
Beliefs that have been formed when something stressful happened to you or perhaps from your childhood and they have just been repeated in your mind again and again.
So from now on you decide to think new positive thoughts,
Empowering thoughts,
Confident thoughts that you can compound in your mind and trick it to help you feel more calm and relaxed throughout your day.
You may be interested to know that your mind doesn't know the difference between imagination and reality.
So you can fuel it with positive thoughts even if you don't yet feel or believe in them.
The power of positive thinking and having confidence in yourself is huge and limitless.
And as you think positive thoughts more often,
You slowly compound and replace the old beliefs of I'm feeling anxious to I'm feeling calm and in control,
Taking one day at a time,
Preferring to live in the present.
You think more and more positively every minute,
Every hour,
Every day.
Your mind commands and your body obeys so you tell yourself that you are in control and calm and this helps you to experience calm and relaxed feelings in your body,
Taking control back.
Remembering if that old anxiety creeps up on you,
You repeat the breathing technique,
Regulating your breathing,
Relaxing your whole mind and body.
Remembering to check your body for tension and releasing it,
Letting it go.
You check your shoulders and neck,
Allow your shoulders to droop and relax.
You check your jaw,
Allowing it to hang loosely and to feel relaxed.
Your forehead becomes smooth and relaxed.
You check your abdomen,
Letting each breath relax your stomach more and more.
You relax any part of your body that feels tension,
Letting it go,
Remembering that you are in charge.
You have the ability,
The tools and the knowledge to release all of that old unnecessary anxiety.
You think positive,
Empowering thoughts,
Knowing that your thoughts direct your body,
Which directs your experiences.
Positive thoughts equal positive experiences.
You feel confident,
Calm,
Relaxed and in control and from now on you find yourself feeling so much calmer,
So much more relaxed and so much more confident too.
Those old anxieties begin to diminish because you know exactly how to deal with them.
Simply letting them go now,
Focusing on the moment,
Day by day,
No more catastrophizing about the future.
No more ruminating about the past.
Your mind is now focused on positivity,
Focused on solving any challenges rather than dwelling on any potential issues.
I'd like you now to use your imagination to think of a situation that previously would have caused your anxiety.
See yourself now at a future date in a similar situation.
But notice that this time you're behaving differently.
What can you hear,
See and smell?
Notice how you're behaving,
Notice how you're feeling.
Much more in control,
Your body is calm and relaxed.
You're speaking calmly and confidently.
Your anxiety is so faint that you can barely perceive it.
See yourself coping brilliantly now.
You have such control and self-confidence in yourself.
See yourself and feel yourself taking in those long,
Slow deep breaths and telling yourself that you're calm and relaxed.
Notice how you instantly respond in a positive,
Healthy way.
Feeling wonderfully calm,
Relaxed and in control.
You instinctively know that this works and you feel great.
You can be relaxed and free from any unwanted feelings.
Replacing them easily with calm and confident feelings.
And you're excited about this new you.
This calmer,
More confident,
Happier you.
All these positive messages are now firmly embedded in your subconscious mind and they'll grow stronger and stronger day by day.
Stronger by the day,
Stronger by the hour and stronger by the minute.
And when you're ready,
You'll gently emerge from your state of relaxation.
Open your eyes,
Feeling fully awake,
Refreshed and alert.
