Just take a moment to settle into your body.
And just notice the energy that you've brought with you into this meditation,

And taking a long,
Slow,
Deep inhale,
Almost imagine that the breath is gathering up any energy that you find.
Allow it to be released with the out-breath as you allow your body to find stillness.
Allow the parts of your body that are connected to the surface beneath you to be heavy.
Settle into this moment.
Take your awareness to the gentle rhythm of your breath.
Notice the expansion and contraction of your chest.
Notice how with every exhale there's almost an invitation to surrender a little more.
Be held in this moment.
Be held by the surface beneath you.
Be held in this moment.

Be soothed in this moment by your breath.
Every inhale is almost an invitation to practice awareness,
To come back to this moment.
Every out-breath,
An invitation to let go.
Every out-breath,

The in-breath,
The drawing in of energy,

Almost like the drawing in of a wave.
The out-breath,
The surrender,
Almost as if the wave crashing against the shore.
Be soothed in this moment by the rhythm of your breathing.
Allow any thoughts or distractions to settle like dust in the light.
Give yourself permission to be here,
To find stillness.

It's okay to meet yourself here in this calm space.
It's okay to surrender.
And in this moment,
Feel down into your heart space.
Get a sense of the atmosphere.

And the messages sent out by heart in ripples and waves.
Like a rip current surge beneath the ocean surface,
We're pulled back and forth from our own center.
Leading us far from the course we thought we had so carefully mapped.
In our vessel of one we batten down the hatches,
And navigate a fickle sea of others and things.
Consumed by the drama,
We forget our own center of calm.
Instead,
Change course with the wind,
On a hunch,
Or the call of a misplaced heartbeat meant for another time.
We think we are separate always from the very thing that we seek.
That life should be lived in a space of efforting.
We somehow make it our responsibility to tame the waves in order to find balance.
Yet at the depths of the ocean there is always calm.
Even when the waves are raging war against the skies.
The surrendered gap between each out-breath.
Before the drawing in of new life,
New energy reminds me of my own depths.
My own sense of calm.
Breathe deeply and be reminded.
You are already enough.
