Hello and welcome to this guided visualization to balance fear.
There's a lot of fear,
Anxiety and worry around at the moment with coronavirus and this is a visualization I've been using for myself in order to help keep things in check.
So fear is a really useful emotion,
A useful feeling because it helps to keep us safe but what we need to do is make sure that that fear remains in balance with the reality of the situation.
And so what that means is making sure that our brains also focus on some of the positive aspects of the current situation and that's what this visualization is all about.
It's about connecting in with everything that serves us and that we are grateful for at the moment.
So you'll need to find a comfortable place to sit and place the feet firmly on the ground for this one and then once you are comfortable you simply close your eyes and listen to the guided visualization that follows.
So we'll begin by taking three deep breaths together and on each breath I'd like you to relax slightly more deeply.
So we'll take the first breath together now in through the nose and out through the mouth,
Relaxing the shoulders,
Inhale through the nose and as you exhale really relax all areas of the body,
All areas of tension.
Inhale again and as you exhale fully relax now,
Allow the curves of the day to drift away for this short period for yourself.
Return to your normal breathing pattern now for the remainder of the visualization.
So to begin I'd like you to just notice the area of the pelvis,
The center of the womb for women or the very center of the belly at the pelvic level in men.
I'd like you to visualize a golden seed has been planted in this area and naturally without effort like all seeds this seed begins to shoot roots.
Imagine the roots extending down through your pelvic area into the legs all the way down through the thighs and knees,
The lower legs until the roots poke out through your feet and begin to enter the ground.
Visualize the roots going deep into the ground,
Breaking through the crust,
Heading into the soil,
Coming into contact with water.
And as you visualize this I'd like you to imagine that your roots are drawing up everything you need to support your body right now.
Water,
Nutrients,
Earth energy.
And as you visualize this flow through the roots up through your legs into the pelvic area into the seed you notice that the earth is really nurturing.
It's providing everything we need to support physical life,
All of the building blocks,
Everything that feeds us.
And this seed,
The golden seed begins to glow.
And as it does this you notice a tiny green shoot coming out from the top of the seed now.
And that shoot goes up,
Climbing out of the pelvic area and heading up towards the navel.
And you see that shoot coming out of the navel area and you notice a small bud at the end of the shoot.
Mother earth continues to supply everything this flower,
This plant needs and you notice that the bud is beginning to transform into a flower petal by petal,
Unfolding,
Blossoming just in front of your belly button.
And you look down at this flower and realize it is the most beautiful flower you have ever seen.
Just imagine that.
And this flower,
It wants to grow strong and tall.
And you notice at this moment that it's a beautiful sunny day.
The sun is shining,
It's heat and it's light down on your body and on this flower.
Imagine how good that feels.
And you realize that the sunlight,
It provides something essential that allows all life to flourish on our planet.
And as the sun continues to shine,
The flower grows bigger and stretches up towards the sunlight.
It grows a little taller coming up to the level of your lungs now.
And your head bows gently to look at the flower.
And as you look at its beauty,
You notice the sensations at the level of the heart.
The joy,
The wonder,
The curiosity.
And you realize how magical it is that all seeds grow like this.
With no effort,
They just grow and transform into all of the beautiful plants that we see around us.
Life is just like this.
It provides everything that we need to sustain us when we're able to focus on what really matters.
And what I'd like you to do now is visualize your hands going out to the sides,
Palms open.
And invite into this circle the people that mean most to you.
Starting with your parents,
If you feel they're relevant to you.
Your siblings,
Your friends,
Your teachers.
Anyone that you deem as important to you,
There's no right or wrong here.
Visualize them all holding hands and creating a circle that joins your left hand with your right hand.
And I'd like you to just look each person in the eye.
And as you do so,
Thank them for being a part of your life.
And we just thank more generally for all the things that are good for us,
Nourishing us,
Sustaining our lives right now.
So together we all say thank you three times.
Thank you to source.
Thank you to our guides and teachers.
Thank you to our hearts.
And finally you can release everyone from the circle and bring your attention now to the area of the third eye of the center of the forehead.
And just notice this space.
And take a deep breath in through the nose and out through the mouth,
Returning to your normal breathing,
Knowing that each day is a new day where anything can happen.
A day with new possibilities,
The chance to turn it all around,
The ability to connect in ways that feel good for our hearts and moments to be grateful,
Even for the small things,
Even in times of challenge.
Bring your attention back to your body now and begin to wiggle the fingers and the toes.
Bring your attention fully back to the body now and to the space that you're in.
And on a count of five,
I'd like you to open your eyes and remain with this grateful feeling in your heart.
5,
4,
3,
2,
1.
Open your eyes.
I hope you've enjoyed this short guided visualization and I hope that it helps you to stay positive throughout your day and your week.
