Welcome to this meditation for revitalizing and taking care of your eyes.
Make yourself comfortable lying on your back or sitting up supported.
Create a relaxed place with whatever you need to feel as comfortable as possible.
Getting ready to do nothing,
Simply resting and allowing.
When you are ready,
Gently close your eyes and take a deep breath in and as you breathe out release into the comfort even more.
During this practice you are functioning on the levels of hearing and awareness and so there is nothing to do except to follow the voice.
Simply follow the voice with total attention and feeling and if thoughts come to disturb you from time to time just allow the thoughts to pass by.
Become aware now of any smell or scent in this moment and become aware of any taste in this moment.
Notice the sensation of pressure on different parts of your body as you relax on the support beneath you.
Now become aware of all of the sensations of pressure on your body at once.
Notice other sensations on your skin.
Perhaps you may feel the skin on your face.
Bring your awareness now to any sensations within your body.
Just noticing how your body feels in this moment.
Become aware of sounds in the distance and become aware of the most distant sounds that you can hear.
Without analysing the sounds just move your attention from sound to sound.
Gradually bring your attention to closer sounds,
To sounds just outside the building and then to sounds inside the room.
Perhaps you may hear your own breath.
Now with your eyes closed notice what you can see on the insides of your eyelids.
Just notice any colors or patterns here.
Now develop your awareness of the room without opening your eyes.
Visualize the four walls,
The ceiling,
The floor,
The furniture,
Your body lying or sitting down.
Visualize your body lying or sitting in that space.
Become aware of your body in space.
Become aware of the space that your body takes up in space.
The whole body in space.
Now bringing relaxation and ease to the body starting with the top of your head.
Like a cascade of relaxation allow tension to be released from the top of the scalp down through the rest of the head.
Now bring awareness to your forehead,
Eyebrows,
Temples,
Your jaw.
As you breathe out feel tension release from your entire head.
Bring awareness now to your neck and your shoulders.
Bringing a release of tension on the breath out.
Relaxing down both arms to your fingers.
Any tension can flow out through your fingers.
Releasing down through the front of your body.
Releasing any tension in the back of your body.
Relaxation cascading down through your hips,
Down your legs,
To your toes.
Releasing down out through the toes.
Now moving awareness back to the top of your head.
As you breathe out imagine a waterfall of release and relaxation cascade down from the crown of the head down through the whole body and out through the fingers and toes.
You may repeat this a few times more.
Gently move your attention now to your eyes and the area around your eyes.
On the next breath out allow all the muscles surrounding your eyes to relax even further.
On the next breath out allow your right eyebrow and all the muscles around your right eye to relax.
Then on your next breath out allow your left eyebrow and all the muscles around your left eye to relax.
Now focus your attention on the right eye itself and imagine all and any tension in the right eye and deep around the eye.
Just relax on the next breath out.
Then shift to the left eye and imagine all and any tension in the left eye and deep around the eye.
Just relax on the next breath out.
And for the following few breaths out allow all parts of both eyes,
All the parts of the eyes,
All the parts that connect to the eyes and all the parts that are related to the eyes,
Just relax.
All parts letting go of tension.
Let go of anything that isn't healthy for your eyes.
All parts letting go of tension.
Let go of anything that isn't healthy for your eyes.
Feel yourself releasing anything that isn't healthy for you.
Releasing anything that inhibits the quality and capacity of sight for you.
Letting go of anything that may inhibit seeing clearly and easily.
Continue the release on each exhalation.
Now imagine a large orb of universal healing light.
Imagine it any way you wish.
On the next breath in,
Welcome this healing light to absorb through your skin and deep into your eyes in the space around your eyes.
Notice the sensations as this healing light moves in and through all parts related to your eyes.
Your vision,
Your sight,
Your ability to see clearly,
Your desire to see,
The physical and the non-physical parts.
Continue focusing on the healing light,
Welcoming and watching and feeling the light and healing on all levels.
Now bring your attention to the space between your eyebrows.
Gently watching this space,
The space between your eyebrows in your mind.
Notice what comes up for you.
It may be something visual,
Colours or patterns.
It may be a message,
Seen or heard or a knowing.
Without focusing or analysing,
Just gently watch the space.
Just relax as you allow yourself to be passively aware of this space.
Before we move on,
You may wish to take this time to recall any visions or messages that manifested for you.
Become aware of your natural breathing.
Invite your presence to return to your physical body.
Allow the feelings to return to your physical body.
Notice the feeling of your body,
Legs and toes,
Arms and fingers.
Begin to slowly deepen your breath,
Slowly waking up your body.
Breathing deep into your body.
Remembering where you are and becoming aware of the space and the sounds.
When you are ready,
You may wish to stretch or move your body gently.
This meditation is now complete.
