Let go of worry and relax.

Allow yourself to focus on the muscles of the forehead,

The eyes,

And the jaw.

As you breathe,

Feel your forehead release any tension.

Invite your eye muscles to expand and unwind.

Loosen the grip of stress around the mouth as you create space between the roof of the mouth and the jaw.

Let go of stress and worry.

When you notice thought,

It appears in the brain,

But just for a few minutes,

Focus on the muscles of the forehead,

The eyes,

And the jaw,

Allowing the mind's chatter to quiet.

Energetically release tension and envision each muscle fiber unwinding like a braided rope coming undone.

Like a stick of butter melts on a warm sunny day,

Feel your face soften as you breathe deep.

Notice your hairline,

Your eyebrows,

And just soften.

Now bring a worry to mind,

And as you look at the thought,

Be aware of your forehead,

Your eyebrows,

Your cheeks,

And your jaw.

Notice if the worry causes a chain reaction of more stress and tension,

And continue to breathe deeply.

Remember that you are safe in the here and now,

And let go of the thoughts and soften the muscles of the face.

Breathing and settling in,

Allow a wave of relaxation to wash over you.

Set an intention to notice when you get caught up in thinking stressful thoughts of the past or the future,

And then spend two minutes softening the face and drinking in deep breaths of relaxation.
