Welcome to this I Ching reading for the month of January 2025.
I'm Helen,
A kinesiologist.
The way that I work with the I Ching reading is to muscle test,
In other words,
Body test,
The appropriate hexagram from the I Ching that is applicable for the entire population for this month.
The I Ching,
Also known as the Book of Changes,
Originates in ancient China and was brought to the West in the 1800s and became really popular in the 1940s and thereafter.
It does not predict,
It does not prescribe,
It invites one to engage with the message,
Which is pure suggestion,
And to notice what resonates,
What responses come up,
And to work with one's own intuition.
Because the I Ching,
When engaged from a participatory point of view,
Invites and allows much room for one's own intuition to come to the surface,
To be heard,
To be seen,
To be felt,
To be known,
And then to be actualized in one's life.
So on that note,
I invite you now to,
Wherever you are,
Just pause,
Whatever you're doing,
And just sigh out,
Just exhale thoughts,
Emotions,
Any tension,
Just let that all go.
In other words,
We allow it to be as it is,
Without placing our attention on it.
Taking a slow inhalation,
Letting that go,
And just having the intention now to be fully present with the information that comes through,
So that your intuition can respond most appropriately.
And if you can internally repeat now after me,
I trust 100% that the information that I now hear and receive is 100% for my highest good.
And I trust that my intuitive response is 100% for my highest good.
Breathe into that.
Exhale,
Release that out completely.
Let that go from your mind.
You bring your complete attention,
Your whole body,
Feeling yourself grounding down.
And the hexagram for January 2025 is number 49,
And it is entitled Change.
The lower part of the hexagram is comprised of a yang,
A yin,
And then another yang line.
And this is known as fire.
And above fire is the marsh,
Which consists of two yang lines with the yin above.
So we see a fire within the marsh.
The nuclear trigrams in between the fire and the marsh refer to the dragon or heaven energy of solid yang masculine frequency,
As well as the wind frequency.
And of course,
The wind invites us to be adaptable and flexible,
Which is so necessary when dealing with change.
Words from the I Ching are dramatic and necessary change is taking place in your life or is about to.
Accept and become involved in the changes,
But make sure they happen at the right and appropriate time.
Don't let the process of change unbalance your individual way of seeing and doing things.
Make sure that the change is for a definite and necessary purpose and is required at this time.
Act selflessly and with honesty and sincerity when dealing with new situations.
End quote.
So we hear from these wise words that we need to time our actions correctly,
Take the right direction.
We are invited to remain firm and correct in our views,
In our decisions,
In our thoughts.
And if the change is being initiated by oneself,
Then we are asked to consider others at all times and not to embark on creating change without consideration of others,
Nor for materialistic or self-seeking reasons.
End quote.
So the change that this time supports is not a willful,
Spontaneous or chance-like change or rebellious-like change.
It's a natural and inevitable change,
Which is nevertheless well planned and measured and directed at a clearly defined goal.
Now interestingly,
June 2024 had the same hexagram show,
Number 49.
So if you think back to that time and consider what change was taking place naturally at that time for you,
Reflect on how you dealt with that change.
Is there anything you can learn and put into action to make this experience of change one that is wise,
Is meaningful and is coming from one's heart center?
So it's not a change that is reactionary,
Even though a change can be uncomfortable when it is stemming from a place of love,
A place of sincerity.
Things will naturally ease out.
Things will naturally find their flow.
And we see this in this reading with the nuclear trigrams showing us that with the right action,
Being flexible but firm,
There will be success.
And one of the words used in the I Ching for this description of the outcome is delight.
But in order for that to take place,
We need to play our part.
Consider these words from the I Ching or hexagram number 49.
As the seasons change,
So must we,
Responding appropriately to what is asked of us,
End well.
Let's take a few breaths and whitening the mind now,
Emitting the mind,
Relaxing the body.
Settle into the next minute,
Just allowing whatever gentle and natural responses come forth into your mind's eye to be present with you in a non-judgmental way.
And if you are feeling emotional,
Please place one hand lightly on the forehead for this is an emotional stress release.
I will let you know when the one minute is complete.
Placing your attention on your breath and just letting the mind slowly bring itself into present time.
Connecting with the whole body.
And let us all remember that being well prepared for change will enable us to deal with it much more successfully.
And so I wish for you a month of successful change and may you integrate it in an authentic manner.
Thank you for being here and until we meet again for the next I Ching reading,
Do take care.
