We've all heard the phrase,

Find your happy place.

This is often said to someone who is overwhelmed,

Sad,

Stressed or afraid.

This guided journey is about creating your own happy place.

A place you can go to anytime you feel you need to,

If only for a short while.

How many times do you wish you could just close your eyes,

Make a wish and be somewhere else?

With guided journeys,

That's exactly what we do.

So as you begin to settle in,

Allow the body to relax and tune into the breath.

Let tension and stress begin to melt away as you bring your awareness to the center of the forehead and draw the breath in and out from that space.

Open up your intuition,

Give permission for your inner guide to lead the way.

Begin to imagine yourself walking along a corridor.

All you can see is a faint light at the end of a long stretch before you.

Peering into this space,

You know when you reach the other side,

You will be in a place of complete safety,

Relaxation and far away from all of your worries in the world.

As you move through this space,

More detail begins to emerge and the darkness begins to give way to light as you get closer.

You can feel your tension melt even further as you draw near.

You reach the end and find yourself entering your own personal sanctuary.

Your special place no one else knows about.

Take a moment to settle in and take a look around to see what surrounds you in this space.

What is texture,

Color,

Sense,

Sensations?

What do you have in your very special place?

What specifically gives you comfort and can you feel that?

What do you choose to do while in this place of complete comfort and freedom?

Spend some time residing in this new hideaway you've created,

Knowing you can come here whenever you feel you need a little time to yourself.

Take a moment to explore,

To rest.

Let your breath refresh your energy and soothe over any rough edges so that you feel completely relaxed and safe.

When you are ready to return,

Tuck this place away somewhere safe and hold gratitude for this new place you've created within yourself.

Reconnect into your body.

Feel the expansion followed by contraction of your lungs and your belly.

And release your meditation with a final cleansing breath in through the nose and out through the mouth.

Musings for your meditation today.

Where did this journey take you?

And how does it make you feel to be in that space?

When would it be beneficial for you to offer yourself this time away?

Is there anyone else you know that could benefit from a place like this for themselves?

I hope you have a wonderful and amazing day.

Namaste.
