And welcome to our meditation today.
My name is Heather,
And I'm honored to spend this time with you.
Find a comfortable seat.
Maybe sitting on the couch or in a chair.
Maybe you choose to sit on the ground with your legs crisscrossed.
Wherever you end up.
We want you to feel grounded and supported.
Find what feels good for you.
For our session today,
I invite you to set an intention around the word diligence.
What does diligence mean?
Diligence.
Is the steady,
Earnest,
And persistent application of effort that you give to a task.
It's care and attention put into the work that you're doing.
Diligence is perseverance.
Precision,
Steady work.
Diligence means that you show up.
And you give it your all.
Enduring through to complete what you have set out to complete.
Means that you are consistent.
And paying attention to the details around you Diligence helps turn obstacles into opportunities.
I pushed you through setbacks.
Situations in life need more diligence.
What would you do?
If you build up this characteristic.
Diligence gives people a reason to trust you.
Diligent.
Be friends.
Respect.
It helps develop patience and responsibility.
Not only does it help us to stay focused,
But diligence turns inspiration into impact.
It helps us see the fruits of our labor,
The end result.
To feel rewarded for the effort.
Diligence is a virtue that will provide for a lifetime.
When you put a strong work ethic into all that you do,
You end up reaching true success.
We are successful by simply choosing to do the work.
That doesn't mean that we don't fail.
Oh no,
In fact,
Failing should be part of our journey.
That is when we learn and grow and think harder.
Failing is part of success.
Diligence pulls us through that failure.
Creating more resilience,
A different plan,
And hope for something more.
So now that you're in your comfy seat,
Let's prepare for our meditation.
Release your hands and let them fall naturally by your side.
Maybe they sit in your lap.
Rock your head from side to side.
Take a few neck circles if it feels good.
Shrug your shoulders a few times.
Relax them down.
Let's take a giant breath together Breathe in.
And mold it.
And release.
Let's do it again.
Breathe in.
Hold.
And release.
This is the last time,
But this time as you exhale,
Do it with a loud sigh.
Are you ready?
Breathe in.
Say it out loud.
Now settle into this moment.
This time.

Is for you.
This time is to breathe and let go of everything on your plate.
Listen to the sounds around you.
Feel the air on your face.
In your arms.
Part your lips and smile a little bit.
Relax your mind.
Let go of thoughts that pop up.
Let go of any tension.
Or worry that is trying to take hold.
If you haven't done so already,
I invite you now to close your eyes.
Let's imagine going for a walk.
On this walk,
You were surrounded by fog.
Not too thick.
You can still make out images around you.
You can see the sun trying hard to fight through this veil.
Imagine you can feel the mist in the air on your skin.
Feels a little damp.
But also refreshing.
The air feels a little cooler.
You notice silence.
You Everything seems still.
In the distance,
You hear a foghorn.
You're standing on the coast.
Where would you be?
On the wet sand near the water.
On a trail near a rocky path.
What does this look like for you?
Could you imagine your surroundings?
Invite safety into the story.
You feel secure right where you stand.
This feels good.
This moment feels right.
Right now.
Right here.
Feel sacred and important.
You begin to look around.
You can see water before you.
Can see the ground you stand on.
You see trees and ferns dotting the landscape.
You see the source of the fog horn.
Beautiful lighthouse.
Calling out to you and you decide to go to it.
Closer you get.
The more magnificent it seems.
Notice the color.
Notice the texture of the exterior walls.
Not far from it.
You see a staircase winding up the side.
It seems to go on forever.
You want to explore,
And you take the first step.
You With each rise,
You feel a little more excited in what lies ahead of you.
You You feel a slight nervousness,
Not knowing what you'll find at the top.
You decide to endure anyway.
As the staircase wraps around the lighthouse,
You get a different view and perspective of the area around you.
On one side you see the ocean.
You can hear the waves crashing down below.
Fog prevents you from seeing far.
You recognize the image that comes with the sound.
On the other side Maybe you see land.
Land covered in trees and plants,
Or maybe it's a place of fields and wild pastures.
Maybe it's a small town.
You notice that every turn on the staircase brings something new.
A new perspective.
A new view.
A new feeling.
At one turn,
You feel the slight warmth of the sun.
Trying to break through the thick air.
Another turn brings the cool of the settled clouds.
You have reached the top.
You are rewarded with the most amazing view.
Which angle do you choose?
The water?
Or the land.
You decide to sit down.
And rest here for a moment.
Remember,
This is your time.
This is your journey to enjoy.
You ponder on the climb to the top of the lighthouse.
It took work.
It took a little effort.
You made the choice to climb.
And you stuck with it.
You feel a little stronger because of this decision.
You notice how beautiful the fog makes everything look?
A little mysterious.
A little magical.
You close your eyes as if to take a mental picture of this space.
Take a deep breath.
Feel the peacefulness in this moment.
You open your eyes.
You notice a little box next to you.
You open it up.
There's nothing inside,
But you are flooded with a feeling.
Feeling of diligence.
This feeling that you are capable of enduring through anything.
You aren't sure what it means.
But you know that it feels right.
Feels good.
It feels whole.
This feeling has impacted you.
You notice a change taking place.
You know that everything is different now.
Your actions are different.
Your behaviors are different.
Your words are different.
You feel capable and able.
You feel stronger and more resilient.
You feel there's clear direction and movement.
You decide to relish in this feeling.
You respect this moment that has been gifted to you.
Moment has changed you.
Smile.
You close your eyes.
This feeling is meant to be remembered and treasured.
Life is good.
This moment is good.
As you open your eyes,
You see a stream of sunlight break through the fog.
The air looks like it is made of glitter.
You begin to notice more and more color breaking through the fog around you.
You move from your seat on the lighthouse.
You thank the Lighthouse for providing you with a beautiful experience.
As you make your way down the stairs to the ground.
You begin to ponder on your time.
Feels different.
What do you feel capable of?
How do you know that it has a place inside of you?
How will you let it manifest?
You end this journey.
You feel completeness,
Swelling inside.
As we come back to the present.
We come back into our bodies.
I invite you to take some deep belly breaths.
Feel the sensation of your breath as you do so.
Wiggle your toes.
Wiggle your fingers.
Rock your head from side to side.
Smile.
Slowly and gently.
Open your eyes.
I encourage you to learn more about diligence.
Ponder on this.
Decide how you can activate this amazing attribute in your life.
What can you do from this moment on?
To be more diligent.
And all that you do.
