I have found guided imagery meditations to be an absolute lifesaver. As I have struggled with anxiety and all that comes with it (a busy mind, constant worries, ruminations, fears), meditation has helped me to calm my mind. Using guided imagery, I am able to focus on the images or pictures I am building in my mind rather than the rambling thoughts that were trying to take place. This brings me greater peace, calm, and the opportunity to move forward. Please note that while this practice is supportive, it does not replace professional mental health care.

Hi,

My name is Heather and I just wanted to take a minute to share with you why I love meditation and guided imagery meditation to be more specific.

I am someone who struggles with anxiety.

I have most of my adult life and I found long ago that the tools of yoga and meditation were very helpful to me.

They brought peace and calm to my body.

They brought peace and calm to my mind.

Thank you.

But I sometimes had a hard time with meditation.

As much as I love to sit in the silence and to be able to focus on something other than the worries and the stress and the rumination happening inside,

It was really hard to focus.

So I tried different types of it and I just found that doing different sounds or drums or lights or different sitting positions or mudras or things.

I just wasn't really quite clicking with that.

Something I'd like to grow into,

Yes,

But I haven't gotten there yet.

And then I stumbled upon guided imagery meditation.

And what I loved about this is I was taken on an adventure,

If you will.

I was kind of being told what to think about.

And so as I was listening,

And going through the motions,

The breathing,

The movement,

The whatever it was I was being asked to do,

The picture in my mind I'm trying to build,

I found that my mind didn't run away as often.

It was easier for me to sit in the stillness,

To sit in the quiet,

And to truly find peace and relaxation.

I honestly feel that being able to do this has brought healing to me.

So when I decided to launch into a career that could help other people with anxiety and stress,

I knew without a doubt that I wanted to incorporate meditation.

I view our anxiety battles as journeys through life.

There's something that we can be grateful for.

But to be able to get to that place of gratitude and be able to embrace the journey,

We have to recognize it for what it is.

So for me,

I love to write guided imagery meditations as a journey,

Taking you somewhere often in nature.

Nature is so healing.

It's beautiful.

To help you find some calm,

To help you be able to reset and restore and find peace.

I'm so excited to go on these journeys with you.

And I hope that you can find the same healing and calm from them as I did.
