Hello!
Today,
We're going to hug our inner pain with love.
Our pain can come in many forms.
Whether it's in the form of anger,
Sadness,
Self-sabotage,
Hiding,
Or anxiety,
Or anything else.
Whichever is hurting us today,
We're going to give them love.
Start by getting into a comfortable position.
Closing the eyes if that's comfortable.
Sitting up or lying down as long as your body is in a relaxed state.
Putting our bodies in a relaxed state helps our mind and soul relax too.
Slowing down the breathing.
And if you can,
Try to extend the out-breath.
Having a longer out-breath calms our nervous system and reduces our heart rate.
If you are comfortable,
I invite you to hum out any tension in the throat with the out-breath.
This also helps extend our out-breath,
Which reduces our heart rate.
Inhale.
And exhale.
You can continue to practice this all throughout the meditation and even after the meditation.
Now,
We're going to start by noticing our body.
Is there any tightness,
Tension,
Or pain anywhere?
If yes,
Just focus on that part in your mind.
If there's none,
We're just going to focus on the body as a whole.
Now,
Imagine inside the body is a dark-colored cloud.
Maybe it's dark gray,
Black,
Or brown.
It can be clustered in the part where it hurts.
Or it can be spread out around the body.
The cloud is harmless.
It is not hurting us.
It's just present to communicate where the pain is.
Focusing on that dark cloud,
It starts to slightly part.
Behind the dark cloud is a little person.
Can you see what the little person is doing?
Are they just sitting there,
Crying,
Screaming?
Or maybe they're just quiet.
You start to notice that the person is carrying something.
It's really heavy.
With the dark cloud still surrounding them,
We assure the person that we will come back and that we want to help.
Back to the breath.
Remembering that we can hum out to extend our out-breath.
This will help keep us calm.
Inhale.
And exhale.
Now,
Coming out from the inside of the body,
We start to notice a really bright colored light surrounding us.
It's surrounding the whole room we are in.
It's the most beautiful colored light ever seen.
It can be a multitude of colors,
Or just one color.
When we see that beautiful colored light,
We instinctively start to feel good.
That light is the light of love coming from Source.
And we're going to inhale that light of love.
Just imagine the crown of our heads opening up to make space for that beautiful colored light of love.
Inhaling now that light of love,
It enters the crown of our head,
Lighting it up along the way.
Lighting up our face,
Our shoulders,
Our arms,
Our chest,
Our stomach,
And our feet.
Our whole body is now lit up with that light of love.
Remembering to breathe.
Inhale.
And exhale.
Now,
The light is traveling to where the dark cloud is inside of us.
It shines through the clouds,
And the dark cloud starts fading away through our outbreath.
We can see the person once again carrying something really heavy.
This time,
Because of the light,
It's clearer,
And we can see the person's face better.
And we realize that the person is you.
They're carrying your pain.
The light of love to surround the inside version of you.
The light starts wrapping itself around inside you from head to toe,
Like a burrito hug of love.
The pain you were carrying gets dropped,
And the light of love carries it out through the outbreath.
Now,
The whole body from inside and out is covered in that light of love.
The most beautiful colored light of love is now you.
Back to the breath.
Inhale.
And long exhale.
Every time we inhale,
We are inhaling love and light.
And every time we exhale,
We are exhaling what no longer serves us.
Whenever we are feeling extra down,
We can imagine that light of love wrapping itself around us and hugging us.
It is protecting us.
And remember,
That beautiful light of love is you.
Thank you for joining me in this practice.
But most of all,
Thank yourself for being here and for doing such wonderful work for yourself.
Namaste.
