This guided meditation is designed to help you release stress and lingering tension.

Find a quiet,

Comfortable space where you won't be disturbed for the next few minutes.

Allow yourself to sit or lie down in a position that feels completely supportive.

Close your eyes and bring your attention inward.

Take a deep breath in through your nose and slowly exhale through your mouth.

Breathe in relaxation.

Breathe out stress.

There's nowhere you need to be,

No one you need to answer to.

This is time carved out just for you to release and relax.

Now bring your awareness to your feet.

Notice if there's any tension there.

As you breathe in,

Imagine a warm wave of relaxation moving through your feet.

On your next exhale,

Let all that tension go.

Feel your feet becoming heavy,

Sinking into the surface beneath you.

Move your awareness up to your legs,

Your calves,

Your thighs.

Breathe deeply and on your next exhale,

Release any tension you might be holding in your legs.

Allow them to completely relax,

Sinking deeper into comfort.

Now focus on your hips and lower back.

As you inhale,

Imagine any tightness or discomfort in this area loosening.

On your exhale,

Let go of that tension.

Your hips and lower back are releasing,

Becoming completely at ease.

Now bring your attention to your stomach and chest.

We often hold stress here without even realizing it.

With your next breath,

Let your stomach expand fully.

And as you exhale,

Feel all the tension dissolve.

Your chest and stomach are open,

Calm,

And relaxed.

Now move your awareness to your shoulders and upper back.

Imagine that each breath in is filling these areas with warmth and ease.

And with every exhale,

You're letting go of any weight,

Tension,

Or stress.

Your shoulders should feel light and free.

Now notice your neck and jaw.

These areas can carry so much of the tension we feel.

As you breathe in,

Gently soften your neck.

Allow your jaw to unclench.

And with the exhale,

Release all the tightness.

Feel how light and relaxed your neck and jaw have become.

Finally,

Bring your attention to your face and your forehead.

Take a deep breath in.

And as you exhale,

Smooth out any lines of stress or worry.

Let your entire face relax,

Becoming soft and peaceful.

With each exhale,

Feel more and more tension leaving your body,

As if it's melting away with every breath.

Notice the areas in your body where you feel the most relaxed.

Now I'd like you to imagine standing at the edge of a beautiful,

Calm body of water.

The air around you is gentle,

Soothing,

And supportive.

You are completely safe here.

Imagine that you are holding a small stone in your hand.

The stone represents all the stress,

Tension,

And worries that have built up within you.

As you hold it,

Feel its weight.

Notice how it symbolizes the heaviness of your stress.

Take a moment to reflect on anything that's been causing you stress and tension.

And when you feel ready,

Gently toss the stone into the water.

Watch as it sinks below the surface,

Disappearing into the depths,

Taking all your stress and tension with it.

Notice how much lighter you feel without the burden of that stone.

The water is calm,

Just like you.

You are free to release whatever does not serve you,

Knowing that this moment is your time to let go.

As you stand in this peaceful water,

Allow these affirmations to wash over you.

I am at peace.

I release all tension from my body and mind.

I am calm and centered.

I let go of stress with every breath I take.

Now slowly bring your awareness back to your breath.

Notice how it moves effortlessly in and out.

Notice how calm and relaxed your body feels.

Take one final deep breath in and let it go.

And when you're ready,

Gently wiggle your fingers and toes,

Slowly bringing movement back into your body.

Gently open your eyes,

Returning to the present moment with a renewed sense of peace and calm.
