Welcome to this meditation.
In this practice you will be guided in shifting your conscious awareness from the outer world to your inner world and beyond.
This may allow you to experience yourself as awareness that is not limited to a body,
Location or time,
Which will support in self-awareness and realization.
To begin,
Sit in a comfortable position and have your eyes open in a soft gaze.
I invite you to observe your environment.
Notice the objects,
Shapes and colors.
Perhaps reach out your hand and touch any items that are close to you,
Feeling the texture of them,
Noticing if they are heavy or light to hold.
Be really present with the objects in your environment.
And now I invite you to listen to the sounds that are present in your environment.
They may come and go.
They may be quiet or loud.
And I invite you now to notice any scents or smells that are present.
They may be quiet subtle or strong.
Just noticing what is here.
And I now invite you to look down at your physical body,
Viewing your hands that may be resting on your lap,
Noticing the subtle movement of your chest as you breathe.
You may like to gently squeeze your legs with your hands,
Feeling into your physical body and physical world that you perceive.
You are used to looking through the physical eyes to see.
You are used to hearing through the physical ears.
You are used to touching through your physical hands.
You are used to smelling through your physical nose.
You may currently believe that what you can physically experience is real and all that there is.
This may be the only point of awareness you have experienced life from thus far.
Just rest here for a few moments now,
Taking in this physical world that surrounds you,
That you seem to exist within.
Now allow yourself to simply open to the possibility that there may be more to be perceived here.
Perhaps there is another part of yourself to witness and experience.
Maybe there is a shift that can occur within your perception that can take more in than the eyes can see,
More than the ears can hear,
More than the nose can smell,
More than your hands can touch.
Simply be open to the possibility that there is more beyond physicality and just allowing the genuine desire to go beyond what you have known to arise.
Perhaps you have always felt that there is more to life and more to you that you have been experiencing.
And so now I invite you to gently close your eyes fully.
As you are no longer engaged in the external world,
Allow your awareness to effortlessly shift within.
Notice where your awareness rests and simply be with your experience in this moment.
Whatever it is,
Be with it.
We're taking a few moments here.
As your physical eyes remain closed,
We will now shift our awareness again,
Moving from your awareness within to now being the observer of your body.
I invite you to shift your awareness so it is a few meters out in front of your body and is looking back at your body.
It may take you a few moments to consciously shift your awareness from being inside the physical body to outside the body and that is okay.
Surrender into your intention to shift your awareness from its current point of view and into the space in front of your body,
Looking back at yourself.
There is no rush here.
Simply allowing the shift and holding it there for as long as you can.
If you find your awareness coming back into the body,
That's fine.
You can continue to shift your awareness back.
Be lighthearted and curious in this exploration of your multidimensionality.
Do not get caught up in trying to make something happen or need to experience anything right now.
Just explore shifting your awareness and perceiving from a different location that is beyond the body.
Take a few moments here,
Allowing what is arising in your direct experience with this.
And now,
As we begin to end this practice,
Draw your conscious awareness back into your physical body,
Seeing through your physical eyes once again and coming back to that inner experience.
Beginning to feel back into your physicality by wiggling your fingers and toes,
Feeling the breath move through you as you take some deep conscious breaths.
And when you feel ready,
You can take in your surroundings through your physical eyes,
Grounding back into the space you are in.
Thank you for joining me for this meditation.
From this practice,
You may begin to question if you can see yourself from another place.
Is the body really who you are?
Who is aware of the body that you identified with?
Who is the I?
Perhaps this is something you may like to contemplate.
Much love.
