
Heru New Moon 5-Day Meditation Series - Day 5

Day 5 of our Heru New Moon Meditation series. Heru is the 6th sphere of the Paut Neteru (Tree of Life) of Ancient Kemet and represents the aspect within you that governs free will. To be truly free means that you are able to act in alignment with your highest intention and intuition at any given moment. This meditation will help you to overcome emotional resistance to acting in alignment with your highest intention in the present moment.

Greetings and welcome to this final meditation in the five-day Heru meditation series.
In this series we have been exploring the African Kemetic principle of Heru.
Heru is the sixth sphere in the Tree of Life and represents the aspect of us that governs our free will.
Hopefully having followed this meditation series through,
You now have a clearer understanding of how to cultivate your free will and how cultivating your free will aligns you to your highest intentions and clears the way for you to act in alignment with your intuition.
On the first day you practice finding the unchanging peace that exists within you behind any emotional drive to overcome the illusion that you cannot oppose your emotions.
On day two,
Having found this stillness,
You aligned yourself with the essence of creativity being your God-given right and being able to choose not to hesitate because of your fear when bringing something new into existence.
On day three,
You release yourself from emotional drives and desires even more by feeling into how your energy elevates when you overcome a desire rather than succumbing to it.
And on day four,
You delve deeper by recognizing that it's through the resistance of challenges that you grow.
Which brings us on to day five.
Today you'll be feeling into this expanded understanding of what freedom actually is.
It's common to think of freedom as purely being able to do what you want when you want.
However,
The additional layers of this which can be missed is whether what you want to do is actually beneficial.
Beneficial to yourself,
Beneficial to your community,
Beneficial to society and beneficial to this planet as a whole.
Most of us have been domesticated to be drawn to our lower material or physical needs and desires either as a way to satisfy the ego or as a form of escapism from an unfulfilling life.
To be truly free means that you are able to act,
Create or respond to any given situation as it presents itself in alignment with your highest intention and intuition.
If you are unable to act in alignment with your highest intention and intuition either because of external restrictions or internal misalignment,
For example,
Energetic misalignment or emotional misalignment,
Then you are not truly free.
So in today's meditation,
I invite you to align with the energetic vibration of being truly free.
Take a moment now to think of a time when you have stepped out in faith and created something that you didn't believe was possible.
Or if you are working towards something right now,
Visualise yourself in the moment when you have done that thing.
Now that you have this in mind,
Release the thought as we prepare for meditation and I will prompt you when you need to call it to mind again.
Now let's begin.
So I invite you to come into a comfortable seated position,
Making sure that your spine is upright.
I encourage you to be in an upright seated position for these meditations,
Because as we go into the deeper brainwave state,
It can be easy to fall asleep and lose focus.
Now,
If it's safe for you to do so,
I invite you to close your eyes or take your gaze downwards,
Drawing your attention away from the outside world.
And we'll start by taking a deep cleansing breath in through the nose,
Drawing in as much air as possible,
And then slowly releasing that air through the mouth,
Even letting out a sigh if you feel comfortable to do so.
Now take a second deep breath in through the nose,
This time extending the breath for a count of four.
And then release that air through the nose,
Once again extending your exhale this time for a count of four.
We'll take one more deep cleansing breath in through the nose,
This time during the air and expanding the abdomen.
And then once again releasing,
Pushing all the air out from the abdomen and deep from the depths of your lungs.
And now I invite you to breathe at a pace that's comfortable for you,
Your own natural rhythm,
Which should be slightly deeper and slightly more extended than you usually breathe in your day to day life.
With your eyes closed and your breath deepened,
You're signalling to your body that you are safe and it can relax.
I now invite you to take your hand or two fingers and lightly place them on your heart centre in the centre of your chest.
As your hands connect with your heart centre physically,
I first invite you to notice your heartbeat and give gratitude for everything that your heart does for you on a day to day basis without you even thinking about it.
As I bring in the bowls,
I invite you to notice the quality of the feeling of this gratitude.
What does gratitude feel like to you?
As you deepen your focus in this way,
You'll start to feel the energy around your heart centre and around your body.
You may feel a warmth and a slight expansion,
Almost like you have a light glowing from within you,
Extending beyond your physical body.
Feel into this state as much as possible,
Allowing yourself to expand,
Relax and fully embody this feeling of gratitude.
Now I invite you to call to mind something that you have created,
Will create just as we spoke about before the meditation.
As you shift your mind to focus on this situation,
Sense into the feeling of the achievement of it having been done.
What does that feel like as an emotional state?
You may feel a lightness of spirit,
Maybe even joy,
As you reflect on having completed your task.
You also may feel a weight lifted off your shoulders since you've moved through your to do list and now you can revel in the completion.
You may also feel an expanded sense of freedom.
Freedom in knowing that through your creation,
You are shaping your world,
You are creating and you're drawing down from energy and thought into matter.
For the next few moments,
I invite you to sit with this feeling of creation,
Freedom and drawing down from energy and thought into physical matter.
Fully embody this feeling as much as you can.
Almost like the feeling has a soft light that's emanating from your heart space.
I'm feeling every cell in your body.
I'm feeling every cell in your body.
If you lose focus,
I invite you to take your attention back to your breath.
Back to the physical sensation of your hand on your chest.
Back to connecting with your heart center.
And then once again calling to mind.
I'm feeling every cell in your body.
I'm feeling every cell in your body.
Now I invite you to release the feeling of your heart center.
I invite you to release the sensation and I'll slowly count down from 10 to 1 to draw your attention back into the room.

Welcome back.
I invite you to bring some soft movement into your body just to bring your energy back into this physical space.
Take a light stretch.
Wiggle your fingers and your toes.
Roll out your shoulders,
Your wrists and your ankles.
Hopefully you were able to connect into this sense of freedom that comes with creation,
Aligning with your intuition and activating your free will.
This is the freedom that the principle of Heru supports you with embodying.
When you look at life through the lens of Heru,
You're invited to see that your evolution requires you to actively choose this path.
And use any inner emotional weight or resistance as opportunities to joyfully strengthen and activate your will and intuition.
This creates a perfect cycle of resistance and expansion.
