Welcome to this guided meditation.
To support you in reclaiming your love for your body.
We're going to embark.
On a gentle journey together.
A journey towards deeper self-acceptance and appreciation for the body you inhabit.
As we progress,
Remember that there is no right or wrong way to feel.
This is a space for you to explore your feelings towards your body in a safe and nurturing environment.
Before we begin,
Let's take a moment to set an intention.
Perhaps you are seeking to cultivate a deeper sense of love for your body as it is right now.
Maybe you want to let go of critical thoughts that have been holding you back from appreciating your unique beauty.
Or you could simply wish for peace and harmony within yourself.
A truce between your mind and your body.
And your body.
Whatever your intention,
Hold it gently in your heart.
Imagine it as a seed you're planting.
With care and attention.
It will grow throughout this meditation.
Find a comfortable position where you can sit or lie down without any distractions.
Once you're settled,
Gently close your eyes.
Turn your attention to your breath.
Notice the natural rise and fall of your chest and belly as you breathe.
Now,
Take a deep breath in.
.
.
Inhale slowly,
Letting your lungs fill with air,
Feeling your chest and belly expand.
Hold this breath for a moment at its peak,
Experiencing the fullness of life within you Then exhale gently,
Releasing the air out,
Feeling a sense of release with every breath out.
Notice the sensations in your body with each breath.
The cool air entering your nostrils.
The rise and fall of your chest.
The relaxation that follows each exhalation.
And take a couple more deep breaths like this,
Inhaling deeply and exhaling slowly and gently.
Allow your breathing to return to its natural rhythm.
Feel the effortless flow of your breath.
A gentle tide moving in and out without any effort on your part.
We will now gently scan through the body.
Begin at the very top of your head.
Without rushing,
Slowly shift your awareness down from the top of your skull,
Across your forehead,
And down to your eyes.
Notice any tension and as you exhale imagine it melting away.
Continue this gentle scan down your face,
Your neck,
And into your shoulders,
A common area where we hold stress.
With each breath,
Feel any tightness dissipating,
As if your breath could wash it away.
Gradually move your attention through your arms,
Down to your fingertips,
Back up to your chest and heart area.
Here,
Pause for a moment.
Feel your heart beating,
Alive and vibrant.
Send gratitude to your heart for all it does for you,
Unnoticed,
Every day.
Continue down through your torso.
Noticing any sensations in your stomach and back.
Your breath is a wave that soothes and smooths any discomfort,
Any tension.
Any holding on.
Let go.
Continue to scan down through your hips,
Thighs,
Knees,
And all the way down to your feet.
Take a moment to feel your entire body relaxed,
Supported and at ease.
On your next out-breath,
Imagine drawing in a warm glowing light.
This light represents unconditional love and acceptance.
See it starting to surround you,
Enveloping you in a soft,
Comforting embrace.
As you breathe in,
This light becomes brighter.
Warmer.
Filling you from within,
Reaching every corner of your being.
Visualize this light touching every part of your body that needs healing.
Every part that you've struggled to accept.
Imagine this light healing those parts,
Whispering words of love and appreciation directly to them.
You are beautiful.
You are strong.
You are enough.
Feel this message reverberating through every cell of your body.
With every breath,
This love and light grow stronger,
Illuminating your body from the inside out.
Feel a sense of gratitude for your body,
For all it allows you to experience,
For its resilience and strength.
Allow yourself to feel this gratitude deeply.
Acknowledging your body's incredible capacity for healing.
Feeling,
And being.
As you visualize this light of love and acceptance.
Imagine it expanding beyond your physical form.
Creating a protective aura around you.
This light shields you from negativity and criticism,
Both from within and from the outside world.
You are safe here,
In this space of love and acceptance.
All is well.
Notice the warmth,
The peace,
The deep sense of knowing that you are worthy of love exactly as you are.
We will now repeat some positive affirmations.
You can say them out loud or listen.
I am worthy of love and respect.
My body is beautiful and strong.
I appreciate my body for all it does for me.
I choose to treat my body with kindness and compassion.
Every day,
My love for my body grows.
I am grateful for my uniqueness.
As we draw this guided meditation to a close.
Take a moment to reflect on your practice.
Without judgment,
Observe any thoughts,
Feelings,
Or sensations that arise.
Recognize how you feel now compared to when you began.
It's common to experience a range of emotions or even to notice shifts in your body's energy.
Acknowledge whatever came up for you,
Knowing that whatever you experienced is exactly what you were supposed to.
Express gratitude towards yourself for dedicating this time to meditation and self-care.
Silently or loud,
Thank your body for its strength.
Resilience and beauty.
Thank it for carrying you through life.
Begin to reintroduce gentle movement into your body.
Wiggle your fingers and toes,
Stretch your neck gently from side to side.
As you move,
Maintain an attitude of kindness and gratitude towards your body.
Notice how it feels to move,
To stretch,
To exist in this moment.
Allow these movements to be a physical manifestation of your intention to treat your body with and respect.
When you're ready,
Gently open your eyes.
Take a deep breath in and as you exhale,
Smile softly to yourself.
Remember,
The journey to loving and accepting your body is ongoing and each moment of mindfulness and kindness towards yourself is a step in the right direction.
Thank you for joining this meditation.
And may you continue to nurture and celebrate your body with love and joy.
