What if we really knew,

And I say what if because we don't,

And that's evident because the lessons return and return,

What if we really knew that every time that we looked out and found fault with someone or something or even for that matter fault with ourselves as we're likely to do,

And then once having found fault,

Made the judgment,

Proceed through some act of blame to decide what it is that needs to be done with this person or this character in ourselves,

What if we knew that every time that moment came up,

And I don't mean as a post-action,

I mean in the very fact of its appearance,

What if we knew that we were throwing away a gift that we had been given in that moment,

A gift that incidentally can only come in that moment,

We can never receive the same gift twice,

Even though all of the gifts we receive are a single gift,

And in this instance,

What is the gift that we're throwing away when we find fault with someone or something outside of ourselves,

When we see them that way?

What we're throwing away is the possibility of coming out of that moment with a completely different sense of ourselves than the one that we went into it with.

Our minds are so set on this idea of some change that takes place and I recognize the change and now I've been liberated,

Now all of that,

And all of that's absolute nonsense.

Our minds and our hearts have virtually no true spiritual subtlety to them at all,

Because thought is about the most unsubtle thing in the world,

Thought is like nails and hammers,

Thought is like pieces of concrete,

Whereas we're meant to be participating in a world where we are forever aware of everything that is moving through us,

That is presented to us through what we would call our senses,

And then to start recognizing that all of that is in a ceaseless stream of change,

And you and I are intended to be participating in that ceaseless stream of change,

But we don't,

So that not only do we not exit the moment with new understanding given to us from on high that has revealed what has been kept captive in the lowest part of ourselves and released,

Liberated,

But we actually leave those moments even more crystallized,

Even more certain that our point of view is the right one,

Even though it's punishing others and ourselves as well.

So what I'm getting at here is,

Before I get to the key lesson,

Is that until we begin to go through what allows us to see the world around us through new eyes,

Like Christ said,

Eyes that see,

Ears that hear,

We're never going to change anything about our experience.

Where our experience is intended to be used as points of revelation,

As opposed to what they are now,

Our experience prove that what we think we see has just happened,

And therefore we're validated in this anger or fear or whatever it may be that comes up accordingly.

So I have a story to help explain a lot of this.

I have two stories today,

And I will leave time at the end,

So if you want to write your questions down or comments,

My new intention is to leave at least 10 minutes at the end of each one of these sessions for us to have a dialogue,

So be aware of that,

Please.

Let me read to you the key lesson,

And Kate's going to post it now,

So if you will,

Just for a moment,

Let her get this up on the board.

Here we go.

Psychological suffering is born of an unseen mechanical resistance to life.

It is the dark offspring of an unconscious nature that believes its painful experience of any unwanted moment is somehow separate and apart from the way it sees and reacts to it accordingly.

Psychological suffering,

All psychological suffering,

Is born of an unseen mechanical resistance to life.

It is the dark offspring of an unconscious nature that believes its painful experience of any unwanted moment is somehow separate and apart from the way that consciousness sees and reacts to it accordingly.

I'm going to show you over the period of the next 25 minutes something that most of us never see,

Let alone suspect,

And I want to start it by telling you a quick story.

So here's a young man,

He's got a family,

And he has to take a ferry from the mainland over to an island where his grandparents live because they like to visit in the holidays,

And this particular person knows that the winter months are much more difficult,

But now it's Easter and the seas,

Let's put it this way,

He gets seasick easily.

So as they're checking into the ferry area where they're going to board this ferry with their cars and all the rest of that,

He's wandering around this little shop,

The kids are getting some stuff,

And he sees on a shelf there a pair of very,

They're called special polarized demagnetized unbelievably powerful sunglasses dedicated to remove all forms of blue light and therefore anything that makes you get sick on a boat.

It's a long advertising slogan,

But you get the point.

Special sunglasses,

On sale only $49.

95.

Now he's been sick a couple times and he thinks to himself,

You know what,

It's worth it if I can get on this boat and not get sick.

So he buys these glasses,

They board the boat,

And the bay,

The ocean that they're going to cross,

It's just,

It's as smooth as silk.

I don't know if you've ever really seen a bay or an ocean when it's absolutely quiet.

It's like a mirror.

Anyway,

They get on the boat,

The kids and the mom go down below deck where they're going to get some breakfast,

But he's already queasy.

So he's down there and he's saying,

I got to go up,

I got to go up,

I got to get some fresh air.

She goes,

She says,

Do what you got to do.

So our hero,

His name is Bill,

He goes up onto the upper deck,

Across from where the captain looks out and gives his commands to the ferry engineers.

And he's sitting there and he's getting sick as a dog.

And he's looking around on the boat and everyone he sees,

They're sick as a dog too.

And he's wondering why everybody's so sick and then he starts to get queasy.

And seasickness is a terrible feeling in case you've ever.

.

.

So he's like leaning over the deck and the captain walks out and says to him,

You don't feel too good,

Do you?

The man says,

No,

I feel absolutely terrible.

I'm sick as a dog.

And the captain says,

You know,

I know it's not my place,

But would you allow me to do something?

I think I can make you feel better within a couple minutes if you would let me do something.

It may seem slightly too personal,

But trust me,

Just give me a shot.

Look,

I got nothing to lose,

Bill says,

So what is it?

And the captain reaches over,

I should have had props,

I could have had a pair of glasses.

And he takes the sunglasses off of Bill's face and he sets them on the rail.

The captain says,

Let's just stand here for a moment or two.

And so Bill's standing there and he starts looking around and then he starts looking around a little bit more.

And within two minutes,

He goes,

My God,

That's a miracle.

I feel so much better.

What did you do?

And the captain said,

Well,

He said,

It's not the first time I've seen people board the ship and get sick.

He said,

But basically what was wrong with you?

And Kate,

If we can put up the,

If we can put up the first,

The line that the captain says,

Captain says to Bill,

You're just seasick.

Of course,

Bill says,

Well,

Of course I'm seasick.

And the captain said,

No,

You are seasick.

What do you mean I'm seasick?

Said Bill.

The glasses that you had on,

Bill,

With all of their special polarization,

Tinted everything in a very specific green so that everywhere you looked,

Everyone you saw had a color and a familiar sense to it of the other times that you have been actually seasick.

And so what you were looking at and experiencing in that moment,

Bill,

As simple as it sounds,

Is that you couldn't separate what the brain was taking in from its conditioning,

Looking at that color from the way the brain would respond to it.

It's just an unfortunate part of your conditioning that you didn't know that was triggered by your glasses.

Now,

Simple story to illustrate a very important point.

So please,

May I make that point?

There is an unknown relationship,

And I mean unknown as in unconscious,

An unknown relationship between seeing and being,

Between seeing and being.

You've all heard,

I assume,

That koan from Buddha,

Tree falls in the woods,

No one's there to hear it.

Does it make a sound?

He was referring to the fact that there is no hearing without sound,

No sound without hearing.

That there is a mutual dependency between what seems to be exterior and interior conditions.

The unknown relationship between seeing and being is that at the simplest level,

And I've discussed this many times,

I look out at a beautiful late summer morning and the colors are beautiful,

Everything's green,

The heat has died down.

I hope it's died down a little bit for you.

And I see the beauty of the woods,

But is the beauty of the woods that I see the woods?

Or is there a relationship between what is observed and a corresponding natural but supernatural experience of that beauty that is in the consciousness?

So the beauty is in the consciousness that has reflected in it what awakens it to itself,

So that seeing and being what I see stimulates an awareness of my own consciousness.

They are inseparable.

And we understand that and get along with that great,

But what happens when conversely we see something like Bill was seeing,

Where I look out and I see something that makes me feel upset.

I get angry.

Why is that?

Is it because of just what I see?

Or is it because in me something is seeing something that triggers a corresponding,

If you will,

Conditioned thought,

A conditioned memory that's replete with all of the emotions that took place the first time it wasn't understood,

But that I wasn't aware of that being formulated in an energetic form that gradually becomes an actual thought with associations.

So that that level of consciousness,

When it is awakened to itself,

It goes,

I don't want to be like that.

I don't want to know about this pain.

I don't want to be sick.

And the only thing that consciousness knows to do in that moment is to blame someone or something outside of itself for the experience of its own conditioned content.

All of this can be seen and must be seen.

I could talk to the cows,

Come home and probably will.

And it's not going to change the fact that until I realize I'm going to say it again,

If you'll put up that line,

Kate,

I must understand I am see sick.

What I see may be sickening in the truest sense of the word.

What does what I see have to do with making me into someone who's negative and upset and angry and frightened and worried?

It's because I don't yet understand this converse relationship where in this instance,

Moving right along,

Bringing you into it.

Now,

How many times have you been negative with someone,

Something,

Or for that matter with yourself where in that moment we feel and believe without any question that somehow we are innocent in this relationship where we're angry with someone.

We wouldn't be angry if they didn't make us angry.

I don't want to be this kind of person that I'm seeing in myself in this moment.

And the fact that I'm resisting what I see proves that somehow or other I'm separate from what is appearing within me.

And we don't have the smallest suspicion about it because our resistance in that moment to what we see,

Stay with me.

My resistance to what I see in that moment proves to me that I'm separate from whatever is creating this conflict in me.

Never suspecting that in that moment where I'm resisting something that I see,

It would be impossible for me to resist something that I see were it not something in me already conditioned that does not want to experience what it sees.

I'm going to go through it again.

That does not want to experience what it sees.

And so it separates itself from him,

Her,

This or that in the belief of that unconscious nature that separation proves difference.

That that sense of resistance proves a distinct quality.

I'm not like that.

When we resist what we see,

We do not understand.

There can be no resistance to what we see without some part of us that doesn't want to be seen insisting that we are different than what we see.

We are never different than the experience we have.

Our consciousness cannot be separated from the experience it has when it sees reflected within itself what it does.

Let me get into this now.

The title of this talk,

Which I can't find immediately,

But has something to do with four words that liberate you from any painful relationship.

I'm going to give you the four words,

But I need to do it in a very special way.

And Kate,

When I'm ready,

We'll bring up so you can see what I'm talking about.

So first of all,

And let's,

We can just yes or no.

How many times have we said to ourselves,

What on earth is wrong with him or her?

Yes or no.

Inwardly,

We may not say it,

But sometimes we say it.

We certainly feel that.

Or what on earth is matter?

What on earth is the matter with people who act like that?

I mean,

Just turn on the news.

What's wrong with people that act like that?

Or we could ask,

What is going on?

What is the matter with me today?

What's wrong with me today?

We know these questions that seem innocent,

But hidden in the question,

In every last question,

What on earth is wrong with him?

What's the matter with people like that?

What's wrong with me today?

In those questions,

They are not actually a question.

They're a statement produced by a consciousness that has already decided that something is wrong with him,

Her,

Or myself,

And poses the question as a kind of a setup.

Because I already know what's wrong with him.

He's not right.

I already know what's wrong with people like that.

They're stupid.

I already know what's wrong with me.

I shouldn't be this way.

So the question isn't really a question.

It is a statement.

The question is an unseen affirmation.

When you hear a question that brings up,

That starts with negativity,

When you hear a question that starts with negativity,

It is not a question.

It is a statement confirming the consciousness that has arrived at that conclusion because of what?

Because of what it sees.

Because of how it sees.

And how does that consciousness see that moment?

It sees it through the lens of its own conditioning,

But in order to hide from itself,

Conceal from itself,

The inherent resistance and pain in all of our attachments and dependencies upon these opinions and beliefs,

In order to do that,

It will always separate itself from what it sees.

And therein lies the problem,

But also the solution.

So let's get ready to add the four words that I'm going to explain to you.

So what's the first thing we say?

What on earth is wrong with him?

Here's how we're going to change that.

Here's the four words.

What on earth is wrong with the way I see him?

Not what is wrong with him.

What on earth is wrong with the way I see him?

Not what on earth is the matter with the people who act like that.

What on earth is the matter with the way I see people acting like that?

What on earth is the matter with the way I see people acting like that?

Mr.

Howard one time said,

A great teacher,

He one time said,

Permitting your life to be taken over by another person is like letting the waiter eat your dinner.

Every time you get negative or I get angry or upset with something that I see in the world,

In that moment,

I am allowing an unconscious reaction,

The product of an instantaneous resistance on the part of an unconscious nature,

That when it looks out and it experiences the content of itself,

It has to deny what it experiences,

Because what would it do if it actually understood that it cannot separate itself from the madness,

The violence,

The conflict that it sees in the world?

And we cannot,

But that's what we do.

All day long,

There is something inside of us.

This one.

Why is there so much pain in me today?

What would be the phrase?

Why is there so much pain in the way I see me today?

Do you?

What?

Why is there?

I'm filled with pain.

And when I'm filled with pain,

You and I both know what happens.

I'm absolutely fed in the very moment that something says,

Oh,

I'm in so much pain.

Why am I in so much pain?

That consciousness already knows it.

That unconscious nature already knows.

It's just setting you up to be dependent upon the explanation it gives you so that when it gives you the explanation for what's wrong with him,

Then you know what to do to fix him.

And it was already built into the question.

It was built into the assumption somehow that I'm separate from what I see.

When the fact that I'm experiencing what I see proves there is an inherent entanglement between seeing and being,

But we don't understand the entanglement,

The natural relationship,

The integration between seeing and being because our present level of being only sees what it wants to see and rejects anything that doesn't line up with the image it has of itself.

So that's the four words we're inserting them.

What's one on earth is wrong with him?

What on earth is wrong with the way I see him?

I must do the work of establishing the fact that I cannot separate the experience of the moment from the consciousness that sees it and reacts that way.

If I don't do that,

I'll spend the rest of my life blaming other human beings for the pain that I'm in,

Hating the world or hating myself because I refuse to see that what life has done,

And this is the gift that I said is refused.

What life has done is it brings into our lives in each moment,

This active force,

This the will of heaven,

Call it what you will,

Something that stirs what is in the dark.

We don't know what's in the dark and it doesn't know it's the dark because as soon as it stirred,

It calls itself the light and it calls itself the light because it believes it can see what's wrong with other people.

The light doesn't judge good or evil.

He maketh the sun to shine on good and evil alike.

This is a reference to the fact that we have within us something that is capable,

In fact intended,

For the purpose of bringing about this radical transformation of our own consciousness by awakening this consciousness to itself.

So I've got a few minutes left.

Let me go through this and I want to tell you the last story.

To be seasick,

S-E-E,

Here's what to be seasick is in the simplest terms I can give it.

When we get negative,

Please use your own experience.

I'm upset with my husband,

With the store clerk,

With the prices.

When I get angry,

Upset,

Frightened,

What am I actually looking at?

What am I actually looking at in the moment where I start to get angry,

Frustrated,

And worried?

We must use that word looking very loosely here because the truth is we are not looking at anything.

Our consciousness,

If you will,

Is attending to,

Is looking at its own conditioned thoughts.

I,

Meaning the me who's getting upset,

I think I'm looking out at what's wrong.

I'm not looking out at what's wrong.

I'm looking at my own thoughts,

My own comparative consciousness showing me what's wrong through comparison.

So I'm looking at my own thoughts and feelings about the circumstance and I don't have the smallest clue that my thoughts and feelings about this particular circumstance are completely conditioned.

That's why it's so familiar when we're negative.

That's why there's always a similar path to take when the suffering appears born out of blaming someone or something around us.

We are looking at our own conditioned thoughts and feelings and all of them are attended to and accompanied by a set of conditioned associations and other emotions.

And those conditioned associations,

They do what?

They gather together to validate why we feel the way we do.

And it's not long after all of this negativity has been validated,

Then that same consciousness starts to offer a prescription to the pain that it's responsible for producing as all part of this conditioned circle of self.

This unconscious nature that reincarnates itself every time it tries to escape the experience of itself.

A conditioned consciousness that recreates and reincarnates itself every time it tries to escape the experience of itself.

That's all it can call on is the content of itself and pursue it accordingly.

So if that's the truth,

What is going on inside of us?

Are we not in that moment more or less refusing to see what is being given to us to see?

So here's the last story.

A couple of brothers and one of them has been,

He's been very sick and his brother naturally concerned and he pushes his brother to go see a doctor he knows is reliable,

A good medical but natural doctor who has a sense of things.

And after a couple of weeks after seeing this doctor,

The brother learns over the phone and then comes to see his brother's getting a lot better because he's taking this med.

After two weeks goes by,

He goes to see his brother again.

Brother looks like dirt,

Looks terrible.

He says,

What's going on?

You were on the mend.

You're looking so much worse.

I thought that that new prescription the good doctor gave you,

The good doctor being the divine,

Thought the new prescription was starting to work because you were looking better.

Brother says,

Yeah,

You're probably right.

What do you mean I'm probably right?

What does that mean?

Brother says,

Well,

I found a medicine that was better.

Excuse me?

You found a medicine that was better?

How can you say you found a medicine that was better when you're looking so much worse?

Well maybe I need to be a little clearer.

What do you mean clear?

What medicine could be better?

And then the brother said,

I didn't say it was a better medicine.

I said,

I found a medicine that was better.

Well,

I don't understand.

He said,

Well,

What I mean is I found a medicine that tastes so much better than the old one and I decided to switch.

The medicine is bitter when it comes to your spiritual life.

But as VH used to say,

It heals.

You have to understand.

The consciousness that produces the resistance is resisting the experience of itself.

And when it resists the experience of itself,

It knows why,

Because of its conditioning,

Why it's resisting it.

And when it knows why,

It prescribes for itself the path to take to be free of the pain that it's creating.

This is a vicious unseen circle of self where the mind runs through everything that it is programmed to do in order to keep its life in place.

Its life is not your life.

Your life is intended to use that consciousness instead of allowing that consciousness to drive you through the experiences it creates in order for its continuity.

So last thing before we open it up,

What then is the real prescription in the moment where our mind goes,

What's wrong with him?

Well,

We said the four words,

What's wrong with the way I see him?

What's wrong with those people?

What's wrong with the way I see those people?

Again,

I'm not saying that people aren't angry and cruel and vicious.

I'm not saying that we're not all of us filled with this conflict.

We are.

But the reason we're so filled with the things that make us actually sick is because we aren't allowing the inherent healing to take place when we understand that we are CSEE sick.

We see the world through the eyes of a consciousness that in denying what it sees,

Believes it is separate from the content and the conditions it's created.

So here's the solution.

This is how to stop being CSEE sick.

Stop thinking,

Meaning stop going along with the justification and the explanation.

Stop thinking and start looking.

Stop thinking and start looking.

What is it that I am actually attending to in this moment?

Because if you're negative,

What you'll see is you've been drawn down into this tiny little dark hole where the only thing that you're looking at is what your mind is telling you has produced this.

And your mind that's telling you what has produced this is actually enclosing you in the prison of the conditioned nature that has produced the reaction.

Stop thinking,

Start looking at what you're actually looking at in that moment.

And see,

You'll see,

God,

You know what?

I was looking at this,

All I see is what I don't want.

What all I see is what I don't want.

What do you think can happen?

What are the possibilities in a full blown negative state?

Nothing.

But to see that the negativity is the result of something in me looking at it,

It says,

Look at this.

And then it goes,

Oh my God,

That's horrible.

Don't look at that.

Look away.

Find a solution.

We must have fresh insight.

Fresh insight is the only prescription to being seasick.

Fresh insight is the only real prescription to being seasick.

That's it.

And we get to that by realizing when we're negative,

What is it that I'm actually looking at?

And if I can just catch a glimpse of how I've been captured and made a captive of a consciousness that can only resist its own conditioning and sees only what it remembers about a moment and then tells itself is true about it,

If I can do that much,

I can begin to win this liberation that we're all so interested in and change the world.

Over to you.

What do you want to talk about?

We've got eight,

Nine,

10 minutes.

Nelly,

Let me get a drink here.

Nelly says lots of people don't understand conditioned.

Who conditioned?

What?

Who conditioned me?

People know.

This consciousness itself,

Nelly,

Is conditioned.

You Nelly are not your personality.

Your personality is intended to be an instrument that you are able to use consciously.

Personality was developed as a way of learning to deal with the world around us that in turn had learned to deal with the world around it so that we walk into a world and become wrapped in a consciousness that is unconscious.

But we don't know it's unconscious because it says it sees what's wrong.

It doesn't see what's wrong because if it did,

Nelly,

It would stop repeating the behavior that makes us sick.

This consciousness is conditioned,

Nelly.

The big relief is the discovery that who and what you are is not just this consciousness,

But something that is aware of this consciousness and can learn to use it in a proper meaning where unless a seed falls in the ground,

Abides there,

All that dies alone,

Nothing shall be reborn.

This consciousness must be reborn and it must be brought into the light of awareness that does it.

Let's go on.

Michelle,

Is it helpful to acknowledge my reaction then see with true presence?

If you're aware,

Michelle,

Of the reaction,

That's all you need.

Every word that follows any bit of awareness of a negativity is buffering the possibility of that light,

Of that awareness acting directly on the consciousness that produced it.

The task is to be aware,

Mindful.

To be in the presence of the moment is to be without having to take thought about what appears in that moment.

God,

The divine,

This love,

This intelligence brings about a ceaseless interaction,

A stirring of timeless creative forces with those things that have been created in time.

Their marriage produces a new conception and each new conception takes its place in that greater action of new life.

All we need,

To use those words,

All is to be aware of all of that taking place.

Because if we didn't interfere with the awareness of something we see in ourselves,

That awareness would begin to act upon what had been revealed and we would be somewhat released according to our understanding given to us by that awareness.

So no,

We must learn just to be aware.

Then stop thinking,

Don't start talking to yourself,

Well that's this and that's that and here's what I should do.

Every last one of those ideas buffers,

Hides,

Conceals the actual healing,

The integration that's taking place in that moment.

That's the key.

To be see-sick is to step outside of the moment where the real integration between the light and the darkness that it reveals is taking place.

Let's keep going.

Anybody else?

Focusing on the horizon helps on a boat.

You know,

Okay,

Shoshana,

That's good.

Keeping sight on the horizon of this awareness,

That's not bad at all.

We want our attention not to be isolated and a captive of what this consciousness has started focusing on because all it can see is what it already knows and what it already knows is that it doesn't like it.

We want to have double attention.

My awareness to see and to be a singularity.

That's what beauty is.

That's what real beauty is in nature.

Real spiritual beauty is inseparable from the relationship between what I see and the being that is involved in that moment because the being,

The level of consciousness can change.

That's the point,

You see.

It can't change itself,

But it can become aware of the need to change as it starts to see and be shown what it is that it unconsciously attends to.

Consciousness begins to separate the wheat from the chaff.

How does this change the world,

Cici?

What do you think would happen if one day,

Instead of going out and snapping at somebody or being cruel or being self-centered in a situation,

And instead you saw that you for that moment were seasick,

Something,

And you said,

I deserve to be treated this way.

What do you think all of those negative reactions are when anybody so-called disrespects you?

I shouldn't be treated that way.

What if in that moment you could see you were seasick?

Because what you want to see,

What that nature wants to see,

It demands that people treat it as it imagines it's meant to be treated.

What if in that split second I catch all of that,

Cici,

And instead of becoming irritated and angry and lashing out or stewing quietly someplace and going home and kicking a chair,

What if I use that moment to bring fresh insight into that consciousness so it's changed,

Even if it's just one point of one degree?

Is not all consciousness connected?

And if all consciousness is connected and I stop hurting myself,

Which is the first ending,

And I don't hurt another human being,

Then it stops with me,

Cici,

And if it stops with me in the truest sense of the word,

Then I've done what Christ advocates,

Which is I lay down my life for the sake of my brother,

And who's my brother other than every moment and everyone in this world?

Is this what you said,

A question that starts with negativity is really a statement?

Yes.

A question that starts with negativity is really a statement born of a consciousness that already knows what's wrong,

But it pretends like it doesn't so it can draw you into its association.

Why is he like that?

If you're negative,

The resistance is already telling you why he's like that.

He's not the way you want him to be.

So every last question that is actually a statement asserts and then creates deeper and deeper sense of separation from what I'm looking at,

Which is exactly what that consciousness requires.

Otherwise,

It can't keep us captive of itself.

I see everything changes.

Yeah.

If I actually see what I'm looking at in that moment,

The very seeing of what I'm looking at in that moment,

Meaning I'm looking at these thoughts,

I'm looking at this reaction I've had a thousand times,

I've been here a thousand times,

If I actually see that in that moment,

All of the energy that used to go into the resistance is turned into a realization.

So instead of resistance,

There's realization.

And if there's realization,

There's transformation.

And if there's transformation,

There's change of the consciousness that formerly was a captive of its own content.

No,

John,

It's not negative to wonder.

But if we set out wondering in order to arrive at a conclusion built into the wondering,

Like,

I wonder why he's like that.

Look,

It's fine.

You can wonder why he's like that.

But if there's a,

If,

If the negativity,

If the wondering starts with any taint of negativity,

It's not wondering.

Wonder is always open.

One of the first books I ever wrote,

Completely out of print,

The Secret Way of Wonder.

No wonder is a way in which we enter into these worlds because we're open to everything the world introduces to us in ourselves,

About ourselves.

I'll end with Roxanne.

So when you stop and see,

Then what do you do?

So when you're aware that changes the next time,

How you react,

You're going to have to go through this,

Roxanne.

This is how the mind works.

I call it drive through happy meal,

Drive through spiritual life.

No,

If I stop and see that here I am,

My mind is fixed on what I don't want.

You have to see how crazy that is,

That my mind is fixed on the experience of what it doesn't want.

If my mind is fixed,

Roxanne,

On the experience I don't want,

What's my experience other than what I'm attending to?

That's called seasick.

I don't see that I'm giving myself or allowing myself to be used by a consciousness that just wants to continue itself.

If I see that,

There is an end to it.

It's not an end all at once.

It's not the end of everything,

Although there are certain greater shocks than others,

But it is the end of that moment of identification and that energy that went into resistance is now moved into realization,

Into a wish to know more about it and to go more deeply into it.

44 minutes.

Got to go,

Guys.

Join me tomorrow.

I'm going to go deep into this subject again.

Find out.

Find out.

Fresh insight is the only prescription to being seasick.

Find out what is required for you to have new insight,

Not old reconciling thoughts and feelings justifying this suffering.
