This meditation is inspired by nonviolent communication where we believe that behind every negative emotion within us there is an unsatisfied need. If we can see and understand our own needs we give compassion and love to ourselves. In this meditation we combine this approach with mindfulness practice. Within the time of this meditation we will listen carefully to our thoughts with presence and nonjudgment. As we listen carefully we explore if there is a need behind our thoughts.

Welcome to meditation session 46.

Before we start let's do our preparations.

Find a position that supports your body and allow your mind to relax.

See if there is any more corrections you can do to your position.

Then let your body come to a rest.

Then say to yourself your intention with this meditation.

Very good.

Then we are ready.

Take a deep breath in.

Let go of everything else.

Breath out and relax into a nice and relaxed state.

Here you are in this space.

Hearing the sounds of this meditation.

Hearing my voice.

Feeling your body.

And sensing this moment.

See what sensations are here in your body at this moment.

Maybe your body is already starting to relax into a nice and pleasant position.

And turn your attention towards your mind and towards your thoughts.

Is there any thoughts in your mind?

Let's take a deep breath in.

In this meditation we put no judgement.

No value to if there is silence or if there is mind chatter.

We will just observe just what it is.

And if there is thoughts try the approach of listening even more carefully this time.

Okay,

Now I will listen to you,

My thoughts.

What is it that you are trying to tell me?

Is there a deeper message?

And maybe some of the thoughts you know from before.

You have heard yourself thinking it before.

At this time listen even more carefully and try to hear if they come from a need inside of you.

What is your need?

Maybe you get a deeper answer.

Otherwise you just continue to listen to the thoughts.

And if there is no thoughts you continue to listen to the silence.

And listen carefully.

Being the presence.

Staying with yourself.

Holding yourself.

Gently,

Gently,

Begin to come back again.

As you slowly come back more and more,

Be aware of the sensations in your body.

How does it feel to be here and now?

Before you rejoin your day take a few deep breaths.

And fill yourself up with gratitude and thankfulness.

For that you have taken this time to recharge and energize yourself.

When you are energized and refreshed this gives positive vibrations to your relationships and to your life.

And now come back and be aware of your surroundings again.

And get ready to continue the refreshed,

Focused and relaxed.
