Valentine's Day Meditation This meditation is designed to give you a wonderful Valentine's Day experience,

Independently if you want to celebrate your relationship with a significant other or simply with yourself.

Valentine's Day reminds us to cherish and appreciate our relationships and focuses on the love in our most significant unions.

Yet it is important that our relationship with ourself is from great value and importance too and we should celebrate that as much as we are doing it with any other relationship in our life.

To begin with,

Find yourself in a comfortable position that you can remain in for the next ten minutes or so.

You can either sit down or lie down,

Whatever feels most comfortable for you.

When you are ready,

You can close your eyes or leave them open if you prefer.

I encourage you to take a few deep breaths if it feels good to you,

You can breathe in on the count of four and breathe out on the count of six.

Repeat this breathing technique another three times on your own.

Breathing in on the count of four and breathing out on the count of six.

Maybe you can notice that whatever breath you take,

Your shoulders sink down a little and your body becomes heavier.

Your muscles may become a little softer and you begin to open yourself to a grounding energy in your present moment.

When you feel steady and grounded,

Slowly come back to your natural breathing.

I invite you to start visualizing your significant other in front of you.

If you don't have a Valentine at this moment,

Don't worry.

Be your own Valentine and visualize yourself in front of you.

Try to imagine that this person that you see is smiling lovingly at you.

If it is yourself,

See yourself smiling at you.

Breathe in deeply into your heart area and let their smile infuse you with the energy of love.

Imagine a beautiful bubble of light around your person.

It could be any color that you like or that comes up for you in this precise moment.

It could be a shiny blue light or brilliant white light that is surrounding this person that you love.

If it is yourself,

See yourself surrounded by a beautiful light.

Let all of this light infuse your person's whole being.

You can imagine that it covers them from head to toes and washes through their body and all around it.

Again,

If you see yourself,

You can do the same and imagine yourself to be washed with this beautiful light.

With the power of this light,

You are sending them love and healing energy to always be present in their life.

If you are imagining yourself,

Let the light infuse yourself and joyously receive love and healing energy.

When you feel that the person is full of love and light,

Shining from the inside out,

You might want to imagine to hug them or hold them closely.

Feel how the energy of love connects the two of you.

If you are imagining yourself,

Feel how the energy of love connects you with yourself and your inner being.

Maybe you can even notice this feeling of love as a sensation inside of your body.

One may feel it as a warm tingling in their heart or even in their belly.

Try to embrace this feeling or sensation of love within you and stay with it.

Then slowly imagine entangling yourself from your loved one or just holding his or her hands.

Look that person in front of you deeply in his or her eyes.

Again,

If you imagine yourself,

Imagine to hold your own hands and looking into your own eyes.

Say to your loving person or yourself,

Loud or quietly in your mind,

Thank you for your existence in my life.

Say to them,

I love you and I appreciate your whole being.

Speak to them directly and say,

I hold unconditional love for you in my heart now and always.

Say you and me,

We are an expression of love,

I love you.

If you prefer to imagine to just hold your person tight instead,

You can do that too.

I encourage you to take a moment here to think about all the times where you felt deep love and appreciation for that person.

If you are thinking about yourself,

Try to remember all the moments where you felt really connected with yourself and loved and cared for.

Again breathe deeply into your heart area and allow these feelings of joy and care to infuse your own state of being.

Notice if you can find a feeling of gratitude within you for being blessed to have a person in your life that you deeply and truly care for.

Or see if you can feel and embrace gratitude for your own wonderful being that you want to take care of now and always.

Let this feeling of gratitude wash all over you and the person that you love.

Simply take your hands to your heart center and breathe in the gratitude that surrounds you.

Recall that if you see a loved person today,

Express your love and appreciation for them.

If you are not seeing anybody,

Take some time and go to your own mirror to tell yourself how special you are and that you really love yourself.

If you would like to hold on to the feeling of love throughout the day,

Keep breathing into your heart center and hold your hands there just as if you were trying to hug your heart.

As this meditation slowly draws to an end,

You can begin to come back to the here and now.

In your own time and rhythm,

You can slowly open your eyes if you had them closed.

I wish you a wonderful Valentine's Day.
