New Year's Eve alignment.

This meditation is designed to give you a New Year's Eve experience that will align you with your own loving energy,

Creating acceptance and acknowledgement for the old year and facilitating focus and intention for the new year ahead.

To begin with,

Find a comfortable position for yourself.

I recommend you sitting down on a chair or meditation cushion that allows you to sit up straight with an erect spine.

Start by taking a deep breath in and exhaling slowly.

You can close your eyes during this meditation or keep them open if you like.

I invite you to follow my guidance during the next minutes,

But if you happen to drift off,

Don't worry,

You can come back to me anytime.

Take another deep breath in and follow your breath entering your body into your lungs and belly and releasing the air again through your mouth.

Repeat to breathe consciously for a couple of times until you feel ready to let your natural breath flow.

When we approach the end of the year,

We often have many thoughts jumping around about what happened this year,

What we might achieved and what we didn't,

How we felt during this year and what were the main events that shaped it.

I encourage you to take a few moments to let your thoughts run wild.

Don't try to suppress or ignore them,

Instead let them come up in any order or sequence just as they wish.

Then slowly let them pass you by,

Just like a car passing you by in the streets.

You watch a passing car but you don't get attached to it or feel the need to hold on to its image.

When it passed you,

It is gone.

Try to see your thoughts like that,

Coming up asking for your attention and you observing and acknowledging them until you feel ready to release them again.

There is no need to be holding on to them.

If there are any events or situations,

Feelings or thoughts coming up from this year that feel uncomfortable for you,

Try to give them space to express themselves now.

But don't feel like you need to overly analyze them.

Just as passing cars,

They shall pass too if you acknowledge them and allow them to move on.

If you prefer,

You can always come back to focus on your breath that helps you to feel stable and anchored within yourself when difficult or overwhelming thoughts may arise.

Now try to pause for a second and instead of letting your imagination run free,

I encourage you to focus on your feelings.

Ask yourself how did this year feel for you?

If you had to write down three predominant feelings that represent this year for you,

Which ones could you name?

Simply give yourself time to think and feel about this matter.

If you have difficulties with narrowing down feelings,

You can imagine colors instead that symbolize the feelings that were most present for you in this year.

Simply go with your intuition and pay attention to what comes up for you first.

When you decided on three feelings or colors,

I'd like you to explore if you can find any connection between them and your body.

If you scan through your body,

Can you locate any areas that you would connect with these feelings or colors?

Maybe you felt anxious during this year and you associate this feeling with your belly area.

Or maybe you felt stressed and tensioned and can associate this feeling with your neck area,

Which is often stiff or hurts.

Maybe you felt very vital during this year and imagine it as a red color in your chest area.

Or maybe you felt thriving and assigned this feeling to your head area where you received new insights and knowledge.

Try to really feel the space within your body and see if you can sense any areas where these feelings or colors are the most present.

Now slowly start breathing deeply and consciously into these areas of your body that you connect with the feelings of this year.

Imagine the air coming into your body as cleansing air that refreshes you and feel the air coming out again with your exhalation,

Allowing you to gently let go of these feelings.

Become aware of any other feelings or sensations within your body that you would like to release and let go with your exhalation too.

Let's do this one more time together.

Take deepest breath of your day yet and release the old air and feelings that you might hold within by exhaling through your mouth.

Take a moment to feel within your heart if you can develop a feeling of gratitude for this year within you.

Think of its experiences and nourishments but also its difficulties and lessons that you may have learned.

Let your breath wash yourself with gratitude for flowing in and releasing any resistance with your exhalation.

Slowly come back to your thoughts again and allow yourself to let them and your imagination go wild again.

Think about the next year and how you imagine it for yourself to unfold.

Where do you see yourself next year?

With whom do you see yourself interacting,

Spending time or working together?

What are any specific tasks or achievements that you plan on for the coming year?

Give yourself a moment to think and feel about this new year.

Don't obsess with organizing your ideas but rather let them come to you effortlessly.

When you feel that you are full of plans,

Ideas and images on how you imagine the next year,

I encourage you to gently let go of all of them again.

Try to cultivate a bird's perspective,

Meaning you watch all these ideas and plans but just like a bird you are flying above them freely and smoothly,

Knowing that all is possible without becoming attached to any of it.

And try to focus on how these images,

Ideas or plans that you have for the new year make you feel.

Again,

If you prefer to imagine colors or outer symbols,

You can do that too.

Play with the first positive feeling and let it fuel your whole body from the inside out.

Imagine it to radiate around you and cocooning your whole being.

Use your breath to soak in alignment with your goals and use your exhalation to let go of any blockages or fears you might hold within you.

Just breathe in deeply again and slowly release all the air within your body through your mouth.

Quietly give thanks for the opportunity of a new year of life that you will encounter with joy,

Excitement and passion for your dreams.

Know that whatever you wish or hope for this next year is possible and on its way to you.

Simply hold an attitude of gratefulness within you and know that you are worthy of receiving your blessings now and always.

Take one last deep breath in and exhale profoundly.

You can now slowly begin to open your eyes and come back to the present time.

I wish you a happy new year.

May all your wishes manifest and become a part of your reality.
