Bliss Meditation This meditation is designed to reconnect you with the feeling of bliss and lightness.

During the next minutes I invite you to listen to my voice,

But feel free to drift off any time you need to.

Simply allow yourself to unwind and enjoy this meditation.

You don't have to do anything in particular,

Simply permit yourself a little time out.

Make sure that you position yourself comfortably to be able to fully engage in a blissful experience.

If you can,

Find a quiet place where you are completely undisturbed.

You can close your eyes or keep them open if you wish.

To begin with,

Take a deep breath in and exhale slowly.

See if you can inhale on the count of 4 and exhale on the count of 6.

Notice how the air coming into your nostrils is cool while the air coming out feels slightly warmer.

Simply observe the air coming into your body and coming out again.

With each and every of your exhale,

Notice how your body is releasing tension slowly.

Maybe your shoulders sink down a little,

Or maybe your body starts to feel a little bit heavier.

Allow any sensations to be there.

By keeping your inhalation shorter than your exhalation,

You support your body to relax.

Repeat breathing like this for another 3 times.

Exhaling on the count of 4 and exhaling on the count of 6.

Now slowly come back to your normal breathing.

Imagine yourself on a beautiful beach.

It could be a familiar beach to you which you already visited,

Or a completely new place that you imagine in this precise moment.

Wherever it may be that you see yourself,

Imagine that you're just surrounded by nature.

You are completely by yourself in tranquility.

You are walking on the beach and the soles of your feet are touching the soft and soothing sand with every step that you take.

As you stop to look around you,

You can see kilometres of long wide beach behind and in front of you.

You take one deep breath in and can smell the salty sea breeze entering your nostrils.

It's a stunning afternoon scenery with soft light that reflects its rays in the water.

The sun is still warming your back as you continue walking ahead.

It feels very comfortable and calming,

Knowing that you are completely by yourself.

From time to time,

The waves welcome the tips of your toes and you can feel the cool refreshing water.

The temperature is just right,

Making it enjoyable for you to receive the last bits of sun.

You feel completely safe in this marvellous scenery.

The only noise you can hear are the waves arriving at shore and some birds singing their afternoons on in the distance.

As you look out to the ocean,

You can see a thin dark blue line marking the horizon.

The ocean seems infinite to you.

Looking out into this vast distance provides a feeling of stillness within you,

Which you just can't help but simply surrender to.

As you watch the waves move,

You realise how your heartbeat is in total sync with the rhythm of the ocean.

Your natural breath accompanies its movements.

As you inhale,

The waves pull to shore and slowly dissolve back into the wide ocean with your exhalation.

You can almost taste the saltiness of the sea whenever the water is splashing up to your ankles.

You hear seagulls in the distance watching over you as you align yourself with the rhythm of the ocean.

Suddenly you discover a stranded tree trunk a couple of metres away from you.

You feel encouraged by this beautiful panorama to sit down and indulge even more into this blissful experience.

As you sit down,

You take another deep breath in and feel how the afternoon sun is embracing your face.

You can watch the colours of the sunset change with every minute you spend sitting there in silence.

Sun started out with a bright yellow and is slowly transitioning into a profound orange colour indicating the beginning of a delightful sunset.

You can now feel a smooth summer breeze across your cheeks and chin swirling around your face and body as if it was snuggling up on you.

You sit and wonder how your surroundings can have such a profound effect on releasing tension out within the body.

Your shoulders sink down a little and your feet feel light and cocooned in the warm sand.

Your body and mind are at ease.

You can sense that this is your natural state of being in peace and harmony.

You take another deep breath in and exhale any worries and negative thoughts carried along with you.

While you are bathing yourself in the sunset,

You feel grateful for giving yourself this time to enjoy the present.

With every change in the evening sky,

You can sense a feeling of bliss arising within you.

You notice how the sky turns from orange to pink and from pink to purple.

The richer the colours become,

The steadier your feeling of equanimity becomes.

You being in the present and allowing yourself to soak in this natural spectacle leaves you in total serenity.

You give thanks to nature and yourself for providing you with this blissful experience.

Slowly and steadily you begin your path back to where you came from.

You take one last look at the ocean and understand how you can facilitate the experience of bliss naturally within you.

Giving yourself a quiet time observing nature's rhythm and movement has reconnected you to your natural state of being,

In peace and tranquility.

You realize how tension and worries were washed away with the movements of the waves,

Just like your footprints that disappeared behind you in the infinite waters of the ocean.

You leave this beautiful scenery with a feeling of bliss and balance within you that seems just as stable as the coming and going of the waves you watched.

As you take one more deep breath in on the count of four and exhale on the count of three,

Slowly allow your fingers and toes to move again.

Sigh the air out of your body as you exhale and focus again on the fresh air entering your nostrils.

Notice how effortlessly you can indulge in the feeling of bliss if you choose to allow yourself to.

Know that feeling blissful is part of your natural state of being and you'll find it anytime within you.

Whenever you're ready and in your very own time,

You can slowly open your eyes.
