Take a few moments and allow your body and mind to settle.
Feel the sitting bones rooting down into the chair or cushion below you.
Reach the spine up tall and reach the crown of the head toward the sky.
Take your focus to the breath and allow it to steady.
Smooth out the edges and let it lengthen.
Every inhale and exhale moving in and out of the body with ease.
Beginning at the crown of the head,
Scan the body for any areas that might be holding onto any residual tension.
And just breathe into them,
Softening them,
Releasing any energy that's stuck there.
Taking a deep breath in and sighing it out.
One more deep breath in and sighing it out.
See yourself walking along a beautiful soft mossy path that leads through a tranquil pristine forest.
It's quiet there and the air smells fresh.
You hear the occasional sound of birds calling and feel a gentle breeze caressing your face as you move deeper into the forest.
You notice a beautiful golden glow up ahead of you.
And as you come closer,
You see it is a stone sanctuary buried here deep within the forest with twinkling lights glowing through the stained glass windows.
As you approach,
You notice that it's intricately carved and adorned with trailing vines and flowers on the rooftop and the doors are thrown open wide welcoming you.
As you step inside,
You notice that the entire space is filled with candlelight.
The walls are encrusted with amethyst crystals which twinkle in the light.
In the center of the sanctuary,
There is a golden throne encrusted with jewels.
There's a beautiful silken pillow that looks so inviting.
So you step up to the throne and seat yourself upon it.
Once seated,
You realize this is your sacred sanctuary.
You are seated on the throne of your very own heart.
It is the seat of all your noble qualities,
Your deepest sense of knowing and your highest self.
Your own inner kingdom that lives within you at the very core of your being.
You close your eyes and breathe in deep,
Feeling the energy of the candlelight dancing on the walls of amethyst.
Feeling safe and secure and held.
Place a hand on your heart and breathe into it,
Feeling the same sacred center alive within you.
Knowing that this is your very own sacred center,
A place that is here for you to return to anytime you need to rest and reset,
Anytime you need to turn within for guidance,
Anytime you need to relax and remember the feeling of deepest tranquility.
You can feel your body relax,
Your breath become more steady and just soak in the wondrous feeling of connection with your highest self and your sacred center.
We will remain here for a few moments,
Sitting in silent meditation and I will bring a soft chime when time is up.
B Lily.
.
.
Take a deep breath in and release it fully.
Take one more deep breath in and release.
You can gently sway your body in any way that feels natural,
Comfortable.
Just bringing your awareness back into the room where you are.
Maybe wiggling your fingers,
Clenching and unclenching your hands a bit.
And then when you're ready you can slowly open your eyes.
Just taking a moment to relish the feelings of deep serenity that come from spending time in your sacred center,
In connection with your highest self and your deepest inner knowing.
And we'll seal in the practice by bringing the hand to your heart.
One last time,
Feeling that sacred center within and knowing it is there for you always.
This is a place you can return to anytime you need and it goes with you wherever you go.
May you carry these feelings of peace and serenity with you throughout the rest of your day.
