Sit comfortably and allow your body to settle.

Allow your mind to settle,

Releasing anything that may be tugging at your attention.

Bring your awareness to your breath.

Just notice as it flows in and out of your body,

Letting it lengthen,

Softening the edges,

Opening the lungs fully and releasing fully.

Ground your sitting bones into the chair or the surface below you.

Stretch the crown of your head up tall towards the sky.

Bring your awareness to the spine,

Lengthening it.

Imagine the pillar of light that runs through your body,

Along the spine,

From the base of the spine to the crown of your head.

This pillar of light that runs through the center of your body is the Shashumna,

The home of the chakras.

Imagine the Shashumna growing in width.

See that pillar of light glowing brightly in the core of your being.

We will be bringing our attention to each of the chakras and tuning them with the seed mantra for that particular chakra.

You may repeat the seed mantra aloud or silently to yourself.

We'll begin with the root chakra,

Located at the base of the spine.

The root chakra is associated with our sense of foundation and security.

Its color is red and the seed mantra is LAM.

You may repeat this either silently or aloud.

See the red chakra glowing brightly at the base of your spine and repeat LAM.

As you do,

Imagine the chakra growing in size and brightness.

Give it a couple of spins and repeat LAM.

Now take your attention to the pelvic bowl,

Home of the second chakra,

Associated with pleasure and fertility.

The color of this chakra is orange.

See the orange wheel in your pelvic bowl.

The seed mantra for this chakra is VAM.

As you repeat VAM,

See the chakra growing in size and brightness.

Give it a spin.

We'll take our awareness to the third chakra,

Located in your solar plexus.

The third chakra is associated with self-confidence,

Self-worth and willpower.

Its color is yellow.

The seed mantra for the third chakra in your solar plexus is RAM.

As you repeat RAM,

See the chakra growing in size and brightness and give it a spin.

Our fourth chakra is located in the heart.

It is associated with love,

Joy and peace.

Its color is green.

The seed mantra for this chakra is YAM.

As you repeat YAM,

See the chakra grow in size and color and brightness and give it a spin.

Our fifth chakra is located in the throat.

This chakra is associated with communication and self-expression.

Its color is blue.

The seed mantra for this chakra is HUM.

As you repeat HUM,

See the blue chakra in your throat growing in size and color and brightness and give it a spin.

Our sixth chakra is located in the third eye region between your eyebrows.

It is associated with intuition,

Wisdom and imagination.

Its seed mantra is OM and its color is indigo.

As you repeat OM,

See the indigo chakra in your third eye region grow in size and color and give it a spin.

The seventh chakra is located at the crown of the head.

It is associated with spirit and our connection to universal consciousness.

Its color is purple.

This chakra has a silent seed mantra of OM.

As you focus on the crown chakra,

Silently repeat OM.

Ancient Indian scriptures say there is a thousand petal lotus located at the crown chakra.

As you silently repeat OM,

See the petals blossoming and see the purple chakra growing in size and color and give it a spin.

Bring your awareness back to the full shushumna,

The full pillar of light that runs through the core of your being.

See it glowing brightly with all of the chakras running up along this pillar.

As you breathe in,

Imagine you're pulling the energy from the root of your spine all the way up to the crown of your head.

As you breathe out,

Releasing that energy back down the shushumna from the crown of the head back down to the base of the spine.

Inhale and bring the energy up the spine to the crown of the head.

And exhale the energy from the crown of the head back down to the spine.

One last time,

Inhale,

Bringing the energy all the way up the shushumna to the crown of the head.

And exhale,

Releasing energy down from the crown of the head down to the base of the spine.

Sit quietly for a few moments,

Just asking in the sense of full energy and well-being.

Imagine letting the energy of the core of your being radiating out into every cell of your body and even beyond the edges of your body to the space that surrounds you.

Letting that sense of energy and vitality and well-being infuse your entire being.

Just sitting quietly for a moment,

Embracing and enjoying this feeling.

Close just by bringing the hands together at the heart.

Thanking yourself for taking the time for self-care.

May you carry this energy with you throughout the rest of your day.

The light in me bows to the light in you.

Namaste.
