Overwhelmed And Stuck? - L,L, & L W/ Glenn Ambrose
Have you been feeling stuck and not sure what's wrong or can't find your way out? The state of consciousness we're in plays a large part believe it or not. I go into detail about why this is and what to do about it.

Welcome to Life,
Lessons,
And Laughter with your host,
Glenn Ambrose.
There I am.
Yes,
I did that on purpose because,
Yes,
I'm feeling corny.
Those of you listening to the audio version might not understand.
I just didn't have my camera on so nobody could see me,
But now you can.
So welcome to the show.
Maybe I should do a special welcome for this one because the title is Overwhelmed,
Stuck.
So if you're tuning in,
You might just be curious,
But you might be feeling overwhelmed and stuck.
And even if you're not,
I'm sure you have.
God knows I have.
So yeah,
This has been really coming up a lot lately with clients,
Friends,
People in the circles that I'm in,
And in my own life,
Which is always — how do I say this?
Helpful?
We'll say it's helpful.
So yeah,
The whole point of being stuck,
Right,
Is that you can't get out and you're feeling overwhelmed.
So you're in this particular state of consciousness and you're looking around and you can't find your way out.
You can't find what's wrong.
You can't find what you're not doing or what you're doing too much of or what you're missing.
It's overwhelming.
It's part of the solution aspects that I'm going to talk about is Einstein's.
You know,
One of my favorite quotes,
Probably of all time,
Because I repeat it constantly,
But definitely one of Einstein's.
One of my favorite quotes from Einstein himself,
And that is,
You can't fix a problem with the consciousness that created it.
Okay,
So if you're stuck and you're overwhelmed and you're trying to find your way out,
Good luck.
Because it doesn't work that way.
You're in a particular state of mind.
You're looking at things from a particular perspective.
And that perspective can be based on your life experiences,
Your past,
Your history,
Everything that you've experienced,
Built on top of one another,
To create this way of looking at things.
You know,
It can be partially that it can be,
It can be just where you are right now.
Like,
There's a reason we get stuck in the first place.
The reason we get stuck is that we don't know what the hell we're doing.
Right?
Like,
If we knew what to do to not get stuck,
We probably wouldn't get stuck.
So just the fact that we're stuck,
Basically implies that we don't know what we're doing,
Which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
I mean,
We,
Most of the time,
We don't really know what we're doing.
But this is in a particular way.
This is in a particular way that is causing resistance and suffering.
Right?
That that ain't fun.
So our way of looking at things is basically,
For lack of a better way to explain it,
The cause of why we're stuck.
You know,
It reminds me,
When I,
When I first got sober and woke up,
You know,
Because me,
For me,
It was all in one.
It was like,
I went through the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous and woke up spiritually at the same time.
It was,
It was about three months that I went through that process.
And during that process,
I started having spiritual awakenings blowing open.
So during that time,
My sponsor that was taking me through said,
You know,
Is there any areas of your life that you haven't screwed up?
I was like,
No,
He's like,
So you got them all you like,
Every area of your life is screwed up?
Like,
Yeah.
And it was,
I mean,
You know,
For those of you that know my story,
Like,
I was physically,
Emotionally,
Mentally,
Spiritually bankrupt.
I mean,
I was,
I was on death's doorstep in several different ways.
So like,
So it was pretty easy question,
You know,
Like,
Not like,
No,
I messed it all up.
And he's like,
Okay,
He's like,
So your life is all screwed up.
In every area.
Did you try to screw it up?
I went,
No.
So you didn't try to screw it up.
So you tried to do well or succeed or you know,
Whatever term you want to put on the opposite of screwing up you,
You try to do good.
But yeah,
Everything got screwed up.
Is that fair to say?
That's what it was.
He kept saying that,
You know,
Is that fair to say?
And I went,
Yes.
I said,
Okay.
So you everything in your life is screwed up.
And you didn't try to screw it up.
You actually tried to do the opposite of screwing it up.
So would it be fair to say that your best thinking sucks?
And I went,
Yeah,
Yeah,
It would be fair to say that my best thinking sucks.
I mean,
You know,
Really,
It's funny because,
You know,
It's,
It sounds kind of comical,
At least to me.
When you say it like that,
Right.
But really,
This is this is the in depth seeking that most of us don't do enough.
We don't ask these questions,
We don't,
We don't follow things down the logical line,
Right.
So this is,
And when you do that,
You,
You really come to some really good answers,
You know,
And I mean,
Granted,
Sometimes we need some help to do that.
Because like I was saying,
We're locked into our perspective,
Our consciousness,
Right.
But,
You know,
He helped me do that.
So I was like,
Yeah,
Like,
Oh,
My,
Yeah,
My best thinking sucks.
And it was,
As it was dawning on me,
It was almost a relief,
Because I realized that I didn't know what I was doing.
Like,
I,
You know,
I was just out there so busy trying different things and,
And new things.
And it was all based on my line of logic.
And my line of logic was very logical,
In a particular sense,
Like,
I could literally sit down with,
And I did it many times,
I could sit down with people,
People,
You know,
There was no shortage of people that cared about me,
Thank God.
So every once in a while,
Somebody would come in,
Sometimes it might even be a few people,
And they would kind of do like their mini intervention,
Like they didn't know what they were doing,
As far as a real intervention.
So they just kind of did their mini version of one,
You know,
They just wanted to try to see if they could help me.
So like,
They would start talking to me about it.
And if I was in the mood,
I would get into the conversation with them.
And by the time I was done with them,
They'd be like,
Nah,
Glenn,
You know,
Everything that you're saying makes sense.
I get it,
Man.
If I was you,
I'd probably be drinking too.
Like,
I'd flip them,
You know,
I mean,
I had real logical reasons for everything,
And real back,
A good backup story,
And all this stuff that I actually believed.
And once I explained it,
They're like,
Wow,
Yeah,
Good,
Good points,
Glenn.
Which it was all ridiculous,
But it sounded really good.
And it was logical.
So like,
Sometimes we think that that means it's true,
Which it's not,
It's not necessarily true.
Just that you can prove anything this is,
You know,
Like you can research and prove anything,
Like whatever you want to believe,
You can find evidence to back that up.
It's pretty simple.
You know,
Whatever you look for,
You're going to find.
So if you look hard enough,
You'll find evidence to back up just about anything you want to believe in.
You know,
So I did that and and made what myself and a lot of other people would think is common sense out of.
So,
But what it did is it got me it helped me completely blank my mind like I didn't trust my thinking from that point forward,
Which was a gigantic asset for me,
Because I didn't try to figure out how to do things my way.
Like even if like sometimes my sponsor would tell me to go do something and I'm like,
I know he's wrong.
And I would line up all the logical reasons why it wasn't going to work or why it was wrong and all this stuff.
But I was like,
I can't argue with him because I agreed to do it his way.
And I can't really argue with him because my best thinking sucks.
And we basically proved that.
So I have to go do this.
Then when it fails,
I can go back to him.
And then I can tell him all my logical reasons why I knew it was going to fail and why his way of thinking was stupid and my way of thinking was good.
So I would go do that.
And then all of a sudden,
What I knew wasn't going to work actually worked.
And my mind started getting blown.
Then it was just another step where I knew I couldn't trust my thinking.
So having somebody else that you trust dictate the way you do things so you can shift that consciousness that's created the problems is extremely beneficial.
This is part of what I do as a life coach,
Of course.
So it's that consciousness that we're in.
So that's kind of one way to come at that,
Right?
Another way to come at that is understanding.
This is what I've talked about before as far.
Usually I come in a different doorway.
Usually it has something to do with getting back to basics.
If whenever I'm stuck,
I'll come back to basics.
And nine times out of 10,
That works.
So what I mean by coming back to basics is really working on my connection with source,
What I call God or DNA or whatever you want to universe,
Whatever you want to call it,
Just,
Or,
Or like,
If you want to view it in a different perspective,
If this resonates with you,
It's just connecting to love,
Just,
Just connecting to love.
Because to me,
Like,
When I'm connected to love,
Like,
Right now,
As soon as I said love a moment ago,
I felt it in my heart.
I said connected to love.
And I just did it again.
I just felt this little sensation of love in my heart.
When I'm feeling that sensation,
That means I'm connected to source,
Spirit,
The universe,
Everything that is,
I can go outside and look at the night sky.
And instead of looking at the stars,
I look at the seemingly empty,
Which is an empty,
But the seemingly empty space in between the stars.
And I feel that sensation.
It's just when I get the sensation that I'm connected to everything,
Something bigger.
And when I'm connected to that,
I feel that sensation of love.
So just doing that,
Like,
Insane amounts of time.
Like,
I could go,
You know,
I took faith for a walk.
Recently,
Her head just spun around.
She heard the W word.
A little while ago,
And we were out and,
And I was just doing this.
And I was just feeling connected,
Feeling connected,
Feeling connected,
Contemplating loving thoughts,
Contemplating how grateful I was for things.
I'm contemplating how beautiful the area that I was in is,
And how much I love the dog and how cool it is that when we got to the end of the property,
The neighbor dog came over,
And I opened the gate and let them play for a little bit.
How beautiful it was to watch these two free dogs just run around and play with each other.
And I feel like it doesn't have to be anything.
It's just connecting to the joy of life feeling,
You know,
Constantly,
Because like,
The reason I do it like that is because I can't do it any other way.
Like,
I can't sit there and and be out running errands and stay connected all the time.
I tried to do it then too.
But I'm not as successful as when I'm home,
Or,
You know,
In a very familiar area.
That's not the word I was looking for.
But whatever.
Like,
When I'm home around my house,
And that like,
I'm not being diverted by other things and other people and a myriad of things that can capture my attention or thinking about what I need to do next or what,
Like,
I can do it better at home.
So I use this time at home to,
To create normal,
You know,
To create that new norm,
To get back to where my baseline is just constant peace and contentment.
And I can do that at home better.
And then the better I get at home,
The more I can take it out into more intricate circumstances and be successful.
You know,
It's,
But the reason I'm explaining this is because that shifts your consciousness.
You're in a different consciousness than you were before.
And as Einstein said,
You can't fix a problem with the consciousness that created it,
Right?
So when you're in a space of just love and gratitude and peace and contentment,
And safety and connectedness,
And you're just able to function like that,
And walk like that,
And just sit there and feel like that,
Even though nothing particular is going on.
Now,
All of a sudden,
You can go back into your head.
And,
And sometimes it happens effortlessly,
You don't even have to go back in your head,
Things just start popping in.
That's usually,
That's usually how it works.
Like,
I'll just be sitting there and I'll be so immersed in the work.
So actually,
This is an important point,
Immerse yourself in doing that.
Just don't worry about what you're going to get out of it.
Don't worry about getting unstuck through it.
Don't worry,
Don't attach to an outcome.
Don't try to use it to achieve something,
Just get lost in doing it.
That's important.
We cannot have an attachment to the outcome.
We can't pretend that we want to feel the connectedness of life.
And,
And,
And all we're truly trying to do on an unconscious or subconscious level is manipulate the universe so we can get what we want,
Which is being unstuck.
Because then we're lying to ourselves,
And we're not in the right energy,
So it doesn't actually work.
So get lost in just that,
Get lost in just connecting.
And then when you're connected,
All of a sudden,
Like I said,
I don't usually bring being stuck onto the,
Onto my plate consciously,
Usually it just,
Like bits of it just come,
Comes in.
Because I'm thinking my,
My thinking is clearer,
And it's more broad,
And it's more connected to divine wisdom.
So I'm sitting,
You know,
I can be walking,
Just feeling gratitude.
And then all of a sudden,
This thought pops through from the ether.
This thought,
This thought that I wanted so,
So bad,
But now that I'm not looking for it,
It came through effortlessly.
You know,
And,
And it,
And it'll be,
It can be something like,
We'll just trust Glenn,
Just trust.
And I'll kind of look at the thought.
And what that means is I'm putting my attention on the thought.
And if I do that,
The thought often continues.
Because I'm putting my attention on it,
And that's giving it energy.
So then it,
It takes that energy and rides with it a little bit.
Not usually too far,
But it'll ride with it.
But it'll ride with it.
So,
You know,
It'll,
It'll,
What did I just,
I just lost my train of thought trying to explain it.
I'm like,
Disconnecting from train of thought and explaining the train of thought and then trying to get back to it.
But anyway,
So,
So,
You know,
This,
This,
This little thought can come up.
And it can be like,
Trust.
I think that's what I said.
Trust Glenn.
And I'll put my attention on it and it'll say,
I mean,
How are you living your life?
If you're,
And,
And I'm talking very calm and a little softer on purpose,
Because that's what that voice is.
It's soft and it's soft and it's really calm.
It's very nonjudgmental.
So it's telling,
It'll tell me something like,
You know,
Glenn,
Really you're,
You're worried about things.
So how can you expect to,
How can you expect the universe to work in,
In,
In alignment with you when you're not in alignment with the solution?
When you're not in alignment with the energy that can bring the solution in,
You're caught up in worry instead of trust.
And you,
You know,
You,
And on an unconscious,
You know,
It,
It doesn't usually say on an unconscious level,
It won't,
It won't go into specifics this much,
But it doesn't need to,
Because I understand it conceptually because it's coming in from within me.
So when it says that,
Like,
You know,
You're not,
You're not in the right energy.
And that means on an unconscious level,
I know that it means on an unconscious level,
Even though it didn't say it.
So it's like,
If you're walking around and you're experiencing fear or worry or anxiety,
Or,
Or these,
These self-limiting thoughts,
Like,
Oh,
I,
You know,
Oh,
I have my past experience up until this point in my life has been limiting up until this point in my life.
So if I'm not careful,
The way that I view things in my future are based on my past.
Like we all do that.
You know,
That and what we're doing is we're,
We're recreating our past where we're propelling our past forward the same in our future as our past experience.
Why?
Because,
And I,
You know,
This is why it's so dangerous to,
To,
To just be focused on the way things are all the time.
Who cares about the way things are like everything changes in this world.
So just because things are a particular way now,
It doesn't mean that they're going to be the same way in the future.
As a matter of fact,
Most often they're not,
They're going to change at least somewhat,
Even if they're the same energy,
That is still going to change.
Right.
But if they're the same energy,
Whether they're changed or whether they're,
They're pretty close to the same,
It's,
It's because we're creating that from our past.
We're taking our past experiences and using that to determine the perspective in which we look at things,
What we think is going to happen,
What our expectations are.
It's all based on our past.
Like,
You know,
If,
If,
If somebody is you know,
Been broke their whole life and they're looking to the future and they're trying to tell themselves like,
Oh,
I'm,
I'm going to be financially successful.
Like that's a hard sale.
Why?
Because they have all this past that wasn't their experience.
Right.
So,
So it's hard to,
So we're automatically kind of taking our way of looking at things based on our past experiences on a conscious quite often time.
What I mean by that is surface thinking subconscious and definitely unconscious.
We're,
We're,
We're bringing that past into our future and we're creating more of the same.
So what we need to do is,
Is,
You know,
Be conscious of that.
And when we're really present,
We can drop into gratitude and trust.
And then it just makes sense that our life is going to be better.
Like,
Why wouldn't it?
Like,
You know,
One,
One of the,
This was like,
Right.
And I think in those three months where I was getting sober there were certain things that caught my attention.
And one of them was it's God's good grace to give you the keys of the kingdom.
And I use,
I used to contemplate that.
I still do.
It's God's good grace to give us the keys to the kingdom.
It's God's good grace.
That means we don't have to pry it out of his hands.
We don't have to live up to some sort of expectations to achieve it.
He wants to give us the keys to the kingdom.
He's dying to,
He wants nothing more.
So all we have to do is align to it,
Trust,
You know,
And I know a lot of people that are stuck are going to go,
I did that.
Well,
You didn't do it right.
And,
And when you,
When you're in the right consciousness,
Like when you're centered,
You will feel that you'll know that when you're in a bad head space,
When,
When you're caught up in your old way of thinking and frustration and overwhelm and feeling stuck,
Then that's going to be hard to see.
No,
I did everything I did.
Why?
Because your perspective is your reality.
You're not going to get out of it as long as you're in that head space.
So stop trying to get out of it.
Cause it's not going to happen.
You know,
This,
I do that whenever I'm in negative head space,
I've,
You know,
Done a podcast on this.
I'm not allowed to think about anything or come to conclusions about anything.
I'm not allowed to,
When I'm in negative head space,
Because only negativity matches,
You know,
You're in really crappy head space and somebody be bops into your life and they go great day,
Isn't it?
And you just want to throat punch them.
Yeah.
That that's because they didn't do anything wrong.
Obviously they're in a good mood,
Said something nice.
So where,
Where is this animosity coming from?
It's from your negative head space.
It's the vibration,
The energy in which you are encompassed.
Anything that doesn't match that bounces right off.
So don't worry about finding your way out of staying out of being stuck.
Worry about the consciousness that you're in the space that you're in.
Come to love.
Just come to love.
Just be love.
Just vibrate at love.
Just write down things you're grateful for.
Do loving things for yourself.
Buy yourself some flowers,
Go,
Go for a walk,
Sit in nature,
Take a bubble bath.
I I'm doing this because I love myself.
Tell yourself that and allow yourself to feel it before and after,
Um,
Set,
You know,
Uh,
Set a reminder on your phone or I use that mind bell app where it goes off randomly throughout my day.
And it's just a bell that reminds me,
Hey Glenn,
Come back to me.
That's come back to love.
Just feel that connection,
Feel that feeling of love inside your heart just for a few seconds or more.
So this is what shifts our state of consciousness.
If we are in a state of,
Of love consciousness,
Then like,
You know,
What's going to come out of that?
Like I said,
Love is going to come out of it.
Like I said,
Like when you're in negative head space,
Only negative things come out of that.
And only negative things seem to make sense when you're in it.
So the opposite is true when you're in love,
When you're in a love vibration.
And actually that,
That was a kind of a Freudian slip there.
You know,
When you're in love with a,
With a romantic partner,
That's a good example of what I'm talking about.
Your whole reality changes,
Man.
You know,
Like during that honeymoon period,
Especially like,
You know,
Most people have experienced that,
That honey,
You fall in love right when you fall in love and you just like,
You can't wait to see him.
Your,
Your,
Your heart is filled up because they are part of your life and you love the very thought of that.
And then all of a sudden your,
Your internet bill is late and you're like,
Whoops,
Silly me.
I'll pay it.
Whoops.
No big deal.
Why?
Because you're in love,
Man.
And everything's better,
Right?
Because you're in that state,
Nothing can get to you.
Nothing bothers you.
Stuff rolls off your back like a,
You know,
Like water off a duck's bottom.
And it's,
It's like that,
But we don't have to be in love with somebody else to experience that.
We can be in love with life.
We can be in love with ourself.
And then we interact with,
With reality.
Like,
Like I've done tons of work on,
Um,
Uh,
How do I say it?
I don't even know.
It's,
This is actually kind of a good example because I'm in good space.
So it's like,
I don't,
It's,
It's hard for me to,
I'm,
I'm trying to talk about a time when I wasn't in,
I wasn't in good space.
And now all of a sudden the words are eluding me.
Whereas when I was in negative head space,
I could explain it without even it just roll right out,
You know,
Without even thinking.
Um,
But it's like,
I've done a lot of work over the years of,
Of,
Of letting go of anger.
And,
You know,
I experienced an immense amount of rage in my life.
And it's so much so that I became a portal in my late teens,
Early twenties,
Where,
Where like rage would come through me.
And I started blacking out and it wasn't even me.
Like I started blacking out from rage,
Which was really scary.
Um,
But years later,
After I got sober,
I was doing some spiritual healings,
Releasing a lot of this anger and this rage.
And,
And you know,
This,
This person told me they're like,
You,
You became a portal.
And I was like,
Oh my God,
That's probably,
That explains the blackouts.
And they're like,
Yes,
You know,
Uh,
And it all,
It all made sense.
So I,
I've worked through that.
Plus,
You know,
We all have a go-to fight or flight or freeze.
Mine was fight.
You know,
I tried the others and they didn't work.
So at a young age,
I leaned into the fight and that became part of it.
So like,
I've done tons of work on myself,
Working through all this stuff,
Releasing,
Finding different techniques and all this stuff.
And at the end of the day,
If I'm in bad head space,
There is like,
I mean,
I don't lose my crap often at all,
You know,
But at the end of the day,
If I'm not in good space,
There,
There's always that possibility that it could happen.
It could very rarely,
But it could,
I could get upset and lose it.
Sometimes it's external,
Sometimes it's internal,
But whatever,
It can happen.
Um,
Just like somebody could lose their crap and freeze when they're trying not to freeze or lose their crap and flee,
Get themselves out of a situation when they shouldn't stay in it.
Like every,
Nobody's perfect.
We all fall into our go-to in extreme situations sometimes,
Especially when we're not in good space,
Just because mine happens to be the fight,
You know,
Not physically fighting,
Just,
Um,
It,
It actually is more like anger than it is fight because some,
Like I said,
Sometimes it's internal.
So I'm not even interacting with somebody else.
Um,
But my point is,
Is no matter how much work I do want myself,
There's a possibility,
A small one,
But a possibility that I can go there.
And when I'm not in good space,
When I'm in good space,
It never happens.
It just doesn't.
That's why it's so important to be in good space.
You know,
Like I said,
It's so rare that it's,
It's not,
That's not why,
I mean,
Of course I don't like it when I get upset,
But,
Um,
It's just one more reason is my point.
It's one more benefit from it when you're in that space.
And so this is really the crux of the podcast is getting yourself into that space,
Get yourself,
Meditate,
Pray.
Um,
But don't,
Don't,
When you pray,
Like,
And I'm just going to use like a particular prayers for this example.
Uh,
It can also be like,
If you read,
Like,
I love reading,
Uh,
Um,
Three 65 book.
Actually,
I might even write one.
I,
I put that on my list.
Uh,
Cause I almost,
I have almost 365 podcasts now.
So I was like,
Hey,
I could do,
I could just use those,
You know,
As a guideline to write a three 65 book.
Cause I love those books.
I find them so helpful.
A really good one is science of mind,
Three 65 science of mind by Ernest Holmes.
That's my favorite one.
I've tried several of them.
Mark Nepo has a good one as well.
Um,
But nothing resonated for me as much as,
Um,
As,
Um,
That science of mind,
Three 65,
One,
Uh,
Recovery has them too.
What was that one?
They had a good one in,
In recovery.
I think,
Uh,
Hazel didn't put it out.
I can't remember the name of it,
But,
Um,
But yeah,
Just the book that has a little reading for each day to get your head in the right position before,
Before you meditate,
Before you start your day.
Um,
Like those,
What was I saying?
What was I saying about those books?
Oh,
When you're reading them and when you're praying,
When you're praying,
Like slow down and feel the words,
Feel the energy of the sentiment that those words are saying,
Bring them into you.
Don't just,
Don't just read the words that does nothing.
You might as well not even do it.
In my opinion.
I mean,
I,
I don't know.
Maybe that maybe there's a benefit.
Like,
Like if you say a prayer every morning,
You know,
Like I used to say the,
Our father or every morning,
Like for me,
If I fell into a rhythm where I was just saying the words,
I would,
I would start to get into crappy head space.
I would,
I would start falling off the beam.
Um,
And that was one of the reasons it just,
Because it's not a spiritual practice if I'm just saying the words,
But if I'm sitting there going,
Our father who art in heaven,
Our father figure that is in a vibration of heaven,
Of peace and love,
Like really internalizing,
Understanding what these words mean.
That is how we need to do things.
And a lot of people be,
Oh,
I don't have time to do that.
Well,
Okay.
Don't you're going to be the one suffering.
You know,
Me,
It's,
It's all about taking the time.
This is the most important thing.
I just did a podcast on that.
This is the most important thing in my life because it sets me up for success in every other area.
And it helps me enjoy the journey.
If I'm not doing this,
I don't enjoy the journey.
I can drop back into old unconscious ways of thinking,
Get frustrated.
So it's about getting,
Just getting us in,
Getting us into this space,
Getting into that space.
And then,
Like I said,
All of a sudden you're like,
To me,
When the solutions come,
They'll,
Like I said,
They'll just kind of pop into my head.
They'll just kind of come into my consciousness.
And,
And a lot of times it'll be just the answer,
You know,
Like I'll be sitting there,
I don't know,
Worried,
Worried about something.
Right.
And,
And the solution will come in.
It'll be like,
Why don't,
Why don't you look at it this way,
Glenn?
Don't you think that would be more helpful?
And I'll start laughing.
I'll be like,
Well,
Of course,
Of course,
It'd be more helpful.
I mean,
That's perfect.
Like that's exactly the way that I need to look at it.
And then I'll be like,
Oh yeah,
Well,
How was I looking at this a few days ago when I was all wound,
I was all wound up about this,
I think.
Well,
How was I thinking of it?
And then the old way of thinking,
Well,
You know,
I'll remember what I was thinking.
I'll just stop laughing because it's like,
Oh my God,
Dude,
You were in crappy headspace.
What were you thinking?
Like,
Of course I wasn't going to work.
You couldn't figure out that you weren't,
You couldn't figure out that this is what you should do.
You were locked onto that.
And it's literally laughable in a spiritual laughter kind of way.
That's one of the chapters in my book,
Spiritual laughter.
There's no judgment in spiritual laughter.
When we're looking at the truth,
When we're connected and looking at the truth and in a spiritual good space,
There is zero judgment.
We don't judge ourselves.
We don't judge others.
We literally start laughing because of the silliness of what we thought made sense a few days ago.
And it's just silly,
No judgment,
Pure silliness.
You know,
There's probably a bunch of other chapters from my book that I can touch on,
You know,
Because of this,
But my point is get into good space.
You got to get into good space and make that your thing.
I'm just going to get into good space.
I'm just going to do whatever it takes to get into good space.
I'm just going to pray.
I'm going to feel every word.
I'm going to meditate and I'm going to meditate more often,
More often.
Yeah,
That's it.
And I'm going to,
I'm going to set a time.
I'm going to do whatever it,
I'm going to put sticky notes all over my house and in my car and on my computer and at work.
Yeah,
That's what I'm going to do.
I'm going to do it all because I'm not staying like this.
Yeah.
And just do it.
Just do it,
Man.
Just do it.
Go,
Go,
Go.
And next thing you know,
You're sitting there filled with love in this wonderful space.
You see things differently,
Solutions come in.
And if you need a outside perspective,
Then you'll be like,
Oh my goodness.
Why don't I just ask this person?
Oh,
Why didn't I think of that before?
Like whatever the solution is,
It doesn't matter what the solution is.
It will come to you.
You know,
Sometimes it's,
It's,
It's like,
Wow,
I,
I,
You know,
I really need like sometimes in a moment of clarity,
It will be like,
Wow,
I need to,
I need to reach out on this.
Oh my God,
Isn't that interesting?
Like now that I'm in really good space,
This is just what I'm getting is I need to reach out.
I need to speak with somebody about this.
Or,
You know,
I've been thinking about life coaching again for a long time with somebody.
I got to get back into that.
I'm going to do that.
Or,
Or,
You know,
Whatever,
You know,
Just whatever it is,
It's going to come.
So hopefully this helps.
I know getting stuck,
Um,
And feeling that frustration,
That overwhelm.
Oh my goodness.
I've experienced it a fair amount in my life.
And,
Um,
It's,
It's difficult,
Man.
I'm telling you,
This is how I've,
I haven't always navigated it perfectly.
Sometimes I've stayed stuck for a long time.
Why?
Who knows?
You know,
I know all this stuff,
You know,
Half of you,
Half of you listening might know this.
You know,
That's one of the reasons why I'm saying,
I'm not just saying it for people that have never heard it before.
Even those of you that have heard it and maybe even think you're trying it or doing it,
But it's not working,
Then you're not doing it fully.
Be honest with yourself.
You're not fully doing it because I've been there before.
I've been,
You know,
Mr.
Spiritual teacher,
Glenn,
And I know everything and I'm doing it and I'm,
I'm really connected and I'm doing what I'm supposed to,
And it's still not working.
When I finally get out of it,
Every time I wasn't doing what I was telling myself that I was doing,
I was,
I was trying to manipulate to get myself out of it because I didn't like the feelings.
So it wasn't really getting lost in the work of,
I'm just going to connect.
I just need to feel love.
I'm just going to be connected to love all the time,
As much as humanly possible.
I'm going to do it all the time.
I'm going to do it all the time just because I need to have love in my life.
And that's it.
That's all I'm doing.
Like I wasn't really doing that.
I was pretending I was doing that while I tried to manipulate the universe through sending complicated crisscross energies that I was,
I was pretending that I was doing that when I was actually trying to get what I wanted,
Which was to be unstuck.
So it's a,
You know,
It's,
Oh,
I'm doing it.
And you do it for a couple days and then you're like,
Oh,
I'm still stuck.
It's ridiculous.
This doesn't work.
See,
You were trying to achieve an outcome.
If you were lost in the work,
You wouldn't even have known whether it was working or if it wasn't working because you wouldn't have been.
That's what getting lost in the work does.
It stops you from keeping score.
It stops you from checking where you are.
That's a gigantic block.
That's why an attachment to the outcome is such a huge spiritual law.
It applies to everything.
We have to be unattached to the outcome.
Otherwise,
What we're doing is we're manipulating.
We're trying to achieve.
We're not doing what we say we're doing.
We're doing to where we're trying,
We're doing,
We're pretending to do what we say we're doing so that we get what we want.
And the universe is just too smart for that.
It just reads energy.
It just disconnects.
It's like,
Yeah,
Whatever.
It's just not doing it.
He's not trying to connect to love.
He's trying to protect that to connect.
He's trying to pretend he's connecting to love so that he can feel a certain way.
But when you get lost in it,
You just find yourself feeling better magically.
You don't even know when it started.
That's when you're doing it right.
So if it's not working,
It's just you're not doing it right.
And it's hard to hear when you're in it.
I get that because I've had people say that to me,
And I've given them some crap for it.
But the truth was,
It was because I was in negative headspace and I was lying to myself.
Once I finally got out,
I could see that.
So sometimes the truth hurts.
Sometimes we got to take a spiritual punch in the face and we can pace around the room screaming and swearing and yelling.
And then once we burn all that energy off and then we release it,
Then sometimes we can just see the truth.
Like,
Okay,
I guess I was doing that.
Or I don't even know if I was doing that,
But I'm just going to try getting lost in the work.
I've done that too.
I'm like,
I don't even know anymore.
I thought I was doing it right.
But if I was doing it right,
It would work because this is spiritual law.
This isn't like,
Oh,
I hope it works this time.
No,
It works every time if we do it.
So if we're not,
It's hard to wrap your brain around this when you're in crappy headspace.
But if it's not working,
No matter what you think,
It's because you're not doing it right.
So sometimes I thought I was doing it right,
But it wasn't working.
So I was like,
And I can't find out what I was doing wrong.
So I just doubled down and just get lost in it more,
Do it more.
Why?
Because I don't know what else to do.
And then all of a sudden I wake up a few days later and I'm like,
Oh,
How did that happen?
So,
All right,
Peeps,
That's going to do it for now.
Thank you.
Thank you for watching.
Thank you for listening.
And yeah,
That's going to do it.
I will talk with you soon.
Peace.
