Bedtime Story: Claire's Winter Day And The Good Shepherdess

In this bedtime story we journey with Claire ​as she reflects on memories of winter and a Christmas Eve with 82 year old Hanna, the sheep farmer. As Claire reminisces, it becomes evident that the theme for setting her New Year's intention centers on deepening her connection with the wise beings who have "gone before." This story is set to a classical piece by Erik Satie and performed by Sherry Shie, as well as another lovely track by Sabertone. Both from Pond 5. Quotes in this story are sourced from the Bible, Rumi, Albert Camus and an inspiring poem about ancestors by Gloria Burgess.

Thank you kindly Glenda for another amazing Claire story. It reminds me of my father’s mother, who was of German descent and grew up on a farm in Pembroke. She definitely lived an authentic life. She attended a Christian University and became a minister travelling the Okanogan valley spreading the word of Christ. She met her Scottish husband and had two children and fostered dozens more. I recall she worked making beds at the Royal York hotel and still managed to comb & spin wool to knit homemade sweaters for four grandchildren. She was both hardworking and kind. A great role model for us. This Claire story brought back fond memories for me now that I am a grandmother too. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
