Transitions with the Archangel Azrael Pt.1

In this episode, I will talk about life's transitions with the Archangel Azrael. Episode aired May 12, 2017.

Hi friends,

This is Gladys.

Welcome back to the Heavenly Hugs podcast.

Today we will discuss transitions with the Archangel Azriel.

Azriel is one of the angels that I work most with.

He is the angel of transition.

He is the angel that helps people move from one life to another.

He is the angel of death.

Really,

If you were to Google the Archangel Azriel,

It says that he is the angel of death.

I have spent a lot of time exploring this angel.

I believe that he is one of the most misunderstood angels.

You'll read out there that he is like the Grim Reaper energy.

People see in transition this angel going through.

Now,

Everything coming from a medium's perspective,

Everything is an interpretation of energy.

We interpret the energy that we receive in the messages that we receive based on what we know.

I always see Archangel Azriel going into people's darkness.

Now,

If you've ever had a headache or a migraine and you were in a dark room and somebody comes in and opens a door,

Sometimes the angel's energy can be like shining a light in your face when you have a headache.

A lot of times we're in these dark spaces.

Maybe it's depression or sadness.

Maybe it's addiction.

Maybe it's on your deathbed yourself getting ready to transition over.

Azriel is the angel that goes in and helps people through the darkness.

When people have interpreted and they've seen him as the Grim Reaper energy,

They call him the angel of death because they always see him in this space.

I see it as the most loving,

Beautiful,

Kind energy who goes and sits with people in their darkness.

His light diminishes so that people who are in that dark space can be open to receive his guidance and his wisdom.

When I was a late teenager,

Early 20s,

And I was going through a depression trying to figure out who I was,

Where I was going,

Any sort of let's say light,

Any sort of happiness and joy and excitedness,

I would repel.

I just wasn't in the place to receive it.

Frankly,

It was painful for me.

It was painful to be around happy people who knew what they were doing,

Where they were going because the dynamics of what was going on in my life was just difficult.

I believe that the Archangel Azriel came in to find me in my darkness.

If he came in bold and thunderous like Archangel Michael,

If he came in gentle and loving like the Archangel Ariel,

If he came in warrior like the Archangel Ariel,

I don't think I would have known what to do with it.

I think I would have been scared.

The Azriel goes into people's darkness and he attempts to help guide them out.

Sometimes he'll just sit there with people in their darkness.

I remember sitting in my bed wondering like,

There's got to be more to life than this.

There has to be more out there.

I remember feeling not alone.

I remember feeling like there was this energy.

There's this present,

There was this source.

Now,

It wasn't like a spirit energy with me.

I just felt this feeling of you're not alone.

That energy didn't try to manipulate or get me to move or change.

I remember that energy just sat with me.

I know now that that was the Archangel Azriel.

Azriel's color is like a pale cream color.

Whenever I see him coming forth for people,

He's going into their darkness.

As I said in my last podcast when we're talking about Raguel,

I wasn't really open to God's light yet.

I know now how beautiful that is,

But I believe he sent these angels in to come find me,

To come help me move through the darkness.

And Azriel was an intricate piece in that.

And I think that's why it's a perfect angel to follow up the Archangel Raguel.

So the Archangel Azriel is the angel of transition.

He works with hospice workers.

He works with counselors.

He works with addiction specialists.

He works with sponsors who are helping people through addiction.

And what he's doing is he's going into people's darknesses because they're leaving an old life and transitioning into something new or better.

And I tend to see Archangel Azriel standing on the bridge with his hand out.

And he absolutely abides by the law of free will.

So if you're struggling with addiction or you're struggling with depression or you're struggling with some type of transition in your life,

Maybe it's to relieve a toxic relationship or relieve an unhealthy job,

Call on the Archangel Azriel and ask him to actually just invite him in your life and ask him to show you the way.

Ask him to help you open the doors.

Ask him to open the doors to be this guide and light to help you out.

But if you're not in that place yet or ready to take the action that it will take to transition and change,

He will sit with you.

And I believe that's why I think he's one of the most misunderstood angels because he's not he's not he doesn't come into our lives to make us change.

He doesn't come into our lives to make us leave these people unhealthy or toxic situations.

He doesn't come into our life and force us to put down the addictions,

Whether it's drug or alcohol or even food or shopping,

Even shopping addictions.

So he can come in and he can kind of sit with you and he can heal those aspects of your life that help you see things in a different way,

That help you want more.

And so he stands on this bridge and the bridge represents one life to another.

And yes,

He's there with people who are transitioning in this life into the afterlife and he guides them through the process of transition and change.

And a lot of people have said that they've seen or felt the Archangel Azrael around that time.

But that doesn't always necessarily mean death from this life into the afterlife.

We have change and transition and endings all throughout our life.

I think it's the whole process.

You know,

And I say often that nothing in life prepares us for death,

But we do experience a lot of endings and completion in our life.

And I believe the Archangel Azrael is always there in those times to help us transition.

Now it's helpful if you're aware and you know,

It's helpful to call them in,

Invite them in because,

You know,

As we know,

The angels abide by the law of free will.

And there are so many people in this world that are transitioning,

You know,

With the turnover of the political power and we've got elections all around the world right now and we have a lot of change in transition.

People are tired of believing a certain thing away or they're tired of experiencing the same things over and over again,

The suffering and the pain in the world.

And I believe Azrael is an important angel that can help people through these changes and these transitions.

Because you know,

When I sit with and I look at the world,

I look at the idea of these extremists,

Whatever it is,

Whether they're fighting for human rights,

Whether they're fighting for religion,

Whether they're fighting for whatever they're passionate about.

You know,

I find it's because of these extremists that we have the laws and the rules and the guidelines that we live in now.

So going back to when women couldn't vote,

Coming from a woman,

There were extremists at that time who fought for our right to vote.

Now I can be grateful because of those extremists.

Now we have this happy medium where women are able to vote.

And this happens in so many different dynamics and so many different paradigms all over the world,

The extreme religions,

The extreme politics,

The extreme,

You know,

In relationships.

And I believe that Azrael helps,

Like I said,

These paradigms shift and transition from an old life into a new life.

Now I have to say at those times,

Maybe it served a purpose or maybe there was a reason why and because of.

So I've learned to try to accept things for what they are and the experiences that they are.

And I have to say sometimes it's hard not to get caught up in the why and it's not fair and the struggle.

And so I always kind of turn to the Archangel Azrael to help me understand the transition,

To help me understand the change.

So Kuan Yin,

Who is the goddess of mercy,

Compassion and forgiveness,

She says that sometimes cataclysmic events have to happen in order to restore balance.

And so that's happened in my own personal life.

So as I have shared with me,

Try attempting to take my life at at 19,

That was a cataclysmic event in my life.

That was something that really woke me up to changing,

To leaving that old life,

To wanting to take the action to better my life,

To want more.

And I believe that Azrael has kind of been guiding me through that.

And so if you're a healer or caregiver or an earth angel or light worker and say you work with energy or say you're a counselor or nurse or a social worker,

You are in such a beautiful,

Crucial place to be able to help humanity transition from an old life to a new one.

And I'm seeing that happen across the board.

I'm seeing so many people awakening in these shifts and these dynamics.

So I encourage you to lean closer to these angels,

Lean closer to the archangel Azrael if you don't know where you're going,

If you don't know what the next step is.

And what will happen is one door will open and then another and then another.

And those doors will only open when you're ready.

I believe this is why I always see him standing on that bridge.

It's the bridge of change.

It's the bridge of transition.

He's getting ready to guide you to take it for you to take his hand to lead you from one aspect of living to another.

And it just gets better and better.

And it's up to you.

You could have one major transition in your entire life or you can have 10 or 15 or 20 because I believe the more you want,

The more things need to shift and change.

And so if you're not happy where you are,

If you're struggling with depression or you're struggling with some type of addiction,

Kind of do what I do.

I was at that point where I was like,

Well,

What do I have to lose?

I have to do with it.

And like I said,

The Azrael is not an angel to be afraid of.

Sometimes we're afraid of him because we know that our life will have to change.

We know that things won't be like they were and there will be work and there will be action.

So the angels are not going to jump in and do things for us,

But what they will do is they'll guide us and make things easier.

So I have to say one of the hardest things to the transition and the changes that I have gone through is taking the action because everything in me says,

I don't feel like doing this.

It's too hard.

It's too stressful.

There's too much.

There's always an excuse.

And these angels can be there to remind us to take one step at a time to marvel at the accomplishments,

The successes along the journey and the counselors and the hospice workers and the addiction specialists out there,

Know that you don't work alone.

Know that you have this beautiful angel that can guide you,

That can give you the right words and support.

And then also too,

You can send him with your clients,

With the people that you're working for.

Maybe it's your family member,

Maybe you have a loved one in your life who's struggling right now in transitioning.

The angels abide by the law of free will.

And a lot of times people ask me,

Well,

If my loved one doesn't believe in God or doesn't believe in the angels,

Is it bad karma to send them to them?

Or is it okay to ask the angels to guide and protect them even though I know they don't believe?

Well,

The angels say that what you're doing is an act of love.

It's an act of kindness.

You're not doing it from an ego place to serve yourself.

You're doing it from a place of love.

And they might not be open to receive it,

But everybody at some point is open for change.

And again,

When I was taking those pills and just wanting to go to sleep and wanting the emotional pain to stop,

It was that moment that I was open for something better.

I was looking for relief because I realized that I was so out of control and I was so far from where I needed to be that I had no idea how to get back.

And these angels and these guides were brought to me,

Again,

In an energetic way.

So it's not like I was seeing them and they said,

Coladas,

You need to see this person.

You need to experience this or touch this.

It was through my pain of wanting more and then just again,

Separating from the life that it was in and being open to whatever the doors were,

The books that came along,

The experiences that I had,

The classes that came up.

And I just listened to my heart with guiding those spaces in those experiences that I had.

And so this is what's going to happen for you.

It's not going to be where an angel's going to.

.

.

The heavens are going to open up.

The energy is going to come down and sit down and have a long conversation with you.

And if it does,

Wonderful,

Great for you.

But it doesn't always happen that way.

And I think if it happened that way to me,

I would have been like,

I'm never doing this again.

It would have scared the heck out of me.

So God and the angels work through our friends,

Our peers,

Perfect strangers.

You know,

They'll get you where you need to be as long as you're open.

So I just continue to ask you to open your heart and mind if you're struggling and you're in a place of challenge and you know you're ready for transition,

But you don't know how to get yourself to where you want to be.

You don't know who you are and what your life purpose is and what your passion is and what you're supposed to be doing.

Ask the angels to guide the way.

Archangel Azrael is a beautiful soul to invite.

And all you have to do is again,

Imagine yourself surrounded in his pale cream light.

Ask him to come in and walk ahead of you and shine a light through your darkness.

And I can guarantee that miracles will happen.

Hi Ben.

Hey Gladys.

Uh,

So this is a pretty,

Uh,

You should not be scared of that.

Okay.

But it can be intense.

Yes.

All right.

Cause when you said angel death,

My thought was,

Oh,

Please no.

Um,

And I have to say,

That's what a lot of people think.

And I think people avoid him or get scared when he shows up in a reading or in somebody's life.

Um,

Because they're like,

Oh God,

What does that mean?

And that's what happens is people fear change or they fear the transition because it can be scary.

So hopefully I can shine some light on the blessing that as real is right because it's more a metaphorical death.

Absolutely.

The death of something.

Um,

So yeah,

I mean,

You see that in,

I guess it's not a hard concept.

If people have been,

Um,

Brought up,

You know,

Religious,

There's the,

Um,

The,

The whole idea of baptism is to,

To be reborn.

So there's a transition there.

Um,

But the,

I don't know,

I'm still hesitant with the,

With the angel of death.

It's just,

Uh,

Not as,

Not as fun of a topic as well.

And that's the thing is it can be,

It can be when you're thinking it from a different perspective,

But you are absolutely right.

From somebody who's really brand new with this and learning about angels,

It can be scary because of the idea of transitioning into something that is the unknown is scary.

So when I was let go from that law firm and the idea of transitioning into a business,

You know,

I got let go from that law firm that I worked at and three weeks later I was renting space and opened up my own private practice.

That was incredibly scary because I didn't know where the money was going to come from.

I didn't know if I'd be able to support myself.

I didn't know if I'd be able to pay the rent that I was being asked to pay,

You know,

But I felt it in my heart that it was the right thing.

And so this is that part where the angel as real can make it easier to change and transition.

It can,

He can make it easier.

So again,

You're,

You're definitely right in thinking that it can be scary.

I still get scared even knowing that they're with me and they're guiding me and God's beautiful light is showing the way and he's always opening up the path.

But um,

But it's what you said earlier in the show.

Sometimes things need to happen for new things to be able to happen.

Sometimes it's catastrophic things.

Sometimes it's just slightly negative and sometimes it's just change of perspective.

Absolutely.

Um,

Like you letting like you getting let go from your job.

Um,

What was that?

What was I'm sure a horrible day.

Well,

I'm sure it felt a lot worse.

Yeah.

I mean,

In a way I was relieved because I wasn't happy there.

And in another way I was like,

Now what do I do because opening a private practice wasn't somebody thinking that was on the scope.

So I had been taking classes and trainings and this is where I believe the angels had been guiding me all up into this point.

And I've been saying a lot.

Life is full of those.

Had I known I would have moments and I look at those changes and transitions that happened in my life.

Had I know I'd be where I was today,

I wouldn't have been so scared.

Had I known I would have been experiencing what I'm experiencing now,

I might not have fought it so much or it might've been more open.

And so I feel like that's where this faith and hope and trust comes in,

In these guiding lights and God's process and his path,

Because I feel like it can help people ease their struggle and make it a little more peaceful.

So is there a transition,

Is now a specific time that is a bigger time of transition because of the,

As we've talked about in the last,

In several podcasts ago,

The nine year cycle,

The coming to an end of the previous cycle and starting a new cycle.

Is that a transition that then begets other transition?

Absolutely.

So this is the beginning.

Yeah.

This is the beginning of a new nine year cycle.

And so all the old cycle is like endings and completion.

So a lot of people have lost people,

Places,

Things,

Ideas,

Experiences that they were.

And now we're in this new place and you can struggle with it,

Right?

There could be challenges with,

Okay,

Well,

What do I do?

Who am I now without these people,

Places,

Things,

And ideas in my life?

And I think that's why I felt it so important to talk about Asriel now in this moment,

Early on in our podcast,

Because as people set out to change,

They're going to need that guidance and that direction to be able to help them continuing to move forward because you don't always know if you're doing the right thing.

You know,

I have just settled into the fact that this is my calling.

This is what I was meant to do.

And I'm almost 10 years into it.

So for the last,

Let's say nine years,

I struggled and is it going to work out?

Is this the right thing?

Am I doing the right thing?

Am I going to be doing something different?

And so I finally settled into the energy of like,

Yes,

It's all in my chart.

It's all in the cards.

This is my calling.

Everything that I've done so far has brought me up to here.

Had I known this,

I might not would have struggled so much on the journey.

I might not have had blocks and walls and you know,

I don't know.

Because I think I would have been further along than I am if I didn't struggle so much,

If I didn't doubt,

If I didn't worry.

And I believe that these angels are helping us along the way.

And I think that by me using them and not using them,

But you know,

Inviting them in my life,

I feel like they've helped me receive the opportunities and experiences that I've had to get myself where I am.

Okay.

Well,

That makes a lot of sense and makes me feel better about.
