Take a moment to find a comfortable seated or lying down position.
Honoring whatever feels most supportive for your body,
Mind,
And heart in this moment.
Lengthen and straighten your spine Let your shoulders and arms relax.
And take a few slow cleansing breaths.
Let your body anchor to the earth beneath you,
Feeling all the points of contact between you and that surface.
Feel the subtle support of gravity.
Melting a little bit in its gentle downward direction.
Take a few more moments to really root.
Allowing yourself to be held here.
Then shift your awareness to your breath,
Noticing the temperature of the air flowing in.
Feel the way your body expands with each inward flow.
And the way your body softens with each outward flow.
Notice the temperature of the air against your nostrils as it leaves your body.
Now with eyes gently closed.
Take a moment to sense the season of the land around you.
Or if you're inside,
Imagine what the outside season looks and feels like.
Sense into the temperature of the air this season holds.
The quality of its light.
And the subtle invitations it offers.
And notice how you're relating to the season right now,
Be it spring,
Summer,
Autumn,
Or winter.
Do you notice any resistance towards it?
Or do you feel joy and full embrace in its presence?
Does it feel pleasant,
Unpleasant,
Or neutral?
And notice if there's nuance in how you're relating to the external season.
Maybe a part of you rejoices that this season is here.
At its opportunities and its invitations.
And maybe another part of you wishes the season were different.
We don't always feel aligned with the external season.
When the stillness of winter rolls around,
For instance,
Our bodies might yearn for movement and vitality.
Or when spring arrives with the invitation to let creative projects come to life.
Our mind might actually want to rest to simply be.
So take a moment to check in with your physical body,
Sensing into what season it yearns for right now.
Does it want or need for the slowing down of autumn?
The stillness of winter.
The reawakening of spring.
Or the full expression of summer.
And notice if there's any judgments you hold about the season your body is currently resting in or yearns for.
Just leaning into your body's wisdom with care and curiosity.
Now sense into your thinking mind.
Getting curious about what season it's in,
Or what season it needs or desires.
Spring,
Summer,
Autumn,
Or winter.
Notice what's arising with curiosity and compassion.
Softening any judgments or analysis,
Simply noticing.
Now sense into your heart,
Your emotional body,
In the same way.
Is it sinking into autumn or winter?
Spring or summer.
Does your heart need rest and renewal?
Or does it need expansion and opening right now?
Honor the subtle wisdom of your heart.
Knowing that whatever season it's in is welcome.
We all hold a multitude of inner seasons,
Some of which align with the season around us and some of which don't.
When we honor our complexity.
We're honoring the complexity and diversity of nature.
And we start to find contentment with what's actually here right now.
We lean into full embrace.
Into unconditional acceptance.
So take a few slow,
Mindful breaths as you sense into your body,
Heart,
And mind as a whole.
And as you do,
Silently repeat.
I honor the many seasons within me.
I honor the many seasons within me.
Now take a moment to reconnect with your breath.
Feeling the way your lungs expand and contract gently.
Noticing the season of the inhale.
And the season of the exhale.
Then anchor back into the support of the earth below.
Honoring its season two.
Honoring the season of the external world all around you.
Now slowly bring some light movement into your fingers and toes.
And gently open your eyes when you're ready.
And take a few mindful moments to gaze out at the season that surrounds.
