Letting Go Meditation In this meditation,
We will explore the mental constructs you've built around food,
What you've labeled as good or bad,
Right versus wrong.
We will begin to let go of your past guilt around food and begin to clear a new path,
Letting go of what eating should look like,
And come into what it does look like in this present moment.
Begin this meditation in a space where you won't be disturbed,
Getting as much out of this time as you can.
Allow yourself to sit in a comfortable position.
Tilt the pelvis forward with a long spine,
Relaxing the shoulders back and down,
Slowly closing the eyes.
Using hands face up on the thighs,
If that's comfortable.
Simply breathing here,
Allowing the breath to come and go naturally,
Simply observing it as it is.
Noticing the belly filling with air and the belly button drawing into the spine with each exhale.
Begin to take long,
Slow,
Deep breaths,
Allowing the breath to carry you deeper into yourself,
Into your true center of being.
Allow yourself to become aware of the voice inside your head that tells you what foods are good and what foods are bad.
Hold these foods in your mind's eye,
Allowing your experience of these foods to come forward.
Starting to breathe gently in and out.
As you experience your past with these foods,
If any emotions come up during this meditation,
Allow yourself to sit with them.
Breathing through it,
Coming to a state of peace.
Maybe breathing out a sigh of relief if that feels good.
Letting go of the power these ideas have over you.
Stop letting these foods make you feel guilty.
Choose to feel good now.
Let go of these ideas,
Exhaling fully,
Releasing these labels.
These foods are neither good or bad,
And eating them doesn't make you right or wrong.
You have the power to choose how to eat,
And your body will guide you to what it needs.
Take back your power and stand strong knowing that you can eat whatever you'd like without guilt,
Without judgment.
Allow yourself to clear your past judgments towards these foods and yourself.
Letting go of resentments towards certain foods,
Towards yourself.
Making peace with these foods.
Making peace with yourself.
Allow yourself to enjoy the experience of eating once again.
Choosing to see all foods equally is life force energy.
Energy is all I see.
Connecting to the truth,
Food is energy.
Food is fuel for your body.
It's essential to help you build the home in which you reside.
Connecting to the beautiful purpose of food to heal you,
Serve you,
Provide energy for your daily function.
Allow this newfound truth to pave a new path for you,
To become present with each food you eat,
Noticing how it makes you feel,
How it fuels you.
Allow yourself to act as if you've never tried any food and enjoying them once again,
Noticing how each food feels within the body.
Allow yourself to open up to new foods,
To experience every food as it is,
Feeling it within the body instead of the mind.
