This short meditation is designed to ground you in the moment wherever you are.
You can be seated or lying down.
You could even be standing up.
Just take a deep breath and close down your eyes.
Turn your attention to your right hand.
Imagine each of your fingers.
Bring your index finger and your thumb together.
Take an inhale and exhale.
On your next inhale,
Move your thumb to your middle finger.
Exhale.
Breathe in,
Thumb to ring finger.
Let it go.
Inhale,
Thumb to pinky.
Release that breath.
Notice each finger on your right hand.
Picture the palm of the hand.
Now bring awareness to your left hand.
Imagine the palm,
The five fingers.
Bring your index finger to your thumb.
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
Inhale,
Your thumb to your middle finger.
Exhale.
Breathe in,
Thumb to ring finger.
Breathe out.
Inhale,
Your thumb to your pinky.
Let go of the breath.
Picture your left hand.
Picture your right hand.
Imagine a warm light traveling up both of your arms across your elbows,
Your shoulders.
Feel those two lights meeting in the middle at your heart.
Imagine a glowing ball of light flashing in time with your heartbeat.
Let that light spread out now through your whole body.
Feel the heat.
Feel the glow.
Slowly start to wiggle your fingers and toes.
And when you are ready,
Open your eyes.
