Just get yourself in a comfortable position at rest and at peace.

And just focus on your breathing for a moment.

Just feeling the breath.

As it comes and as it goes.

Arising and falling away.

And now focus your thoughts on loving kindness.

May I be filled with loving kindness.

On the in breath,

Focus on being filled with loving kindness.

On the out breath,

Exhale compassion for the world.

And now focus on being filled with loving kindness.

May I know the joy of being alive.

And now focus on being filled with loving kindness.

May I be at peace.

And now focus on being filled with loving kindness.

May I be free.

And now focus on someone who touches your heart.

May they be filled with loving kindness.

May they know the joy of being alive.

May they be at peace.

May they be free.

May they be free.

And now focus upon someone with whom you have some difficulty.

And ask that they be filled with loving kindness.

May they be filled with loving kindness.

May they know the joy of being alive.
